I started my insurance with Melissa after moving to FW in 2015 and all seemed to be fine…read more After a year or so I got a call telling me the card they were using for payment had expired, which was odd because that card had in fact NOT expired. I called back and left a message to use the same card they had been using, and to call me back if there were any issues. I heard nothing back and assumed all was well. Fast forward to a few months later and I noticed that my card wasn't being charged for insurance, turns out I had been driving around uninsured. I called back to rectify the issue and Melissa informed me that my rates would nearly double because I had been driving uninsured for too long. She proceeded to blame the issue on me for when my voicemail was forgotten/ignored. I switched to GEICO soon after. Now, almost two years later, I find out that the vehicle loan I had gone through her for and paid off over a year ago is still showing on my credit report. State Farm is apparently still in the dark ages because they require you physically mail a form to their IL address to do anything about the issue. No representative from State Farm or my former insurance agents office can do anything to help get this rectified easily or quickly. I highly recommend NOT using State Farm. I would give 0 stars if it were possible.

My wife had a claim - an accident that was her fault - about seven years ago. Kristin took care of everything, and our premium didn't even go up. My car got rear-ended about five years ago (by another State Farm customer!). The damage was entirely cosmetic, but an agent showed up after a couple of days and compensated us for the minor loss of value. We have shopped for other insurance companies, but most cost more, and none would have saved us much. I can't imagine better customer service. Highly recommended.
