The lady took my information and told me she'd call me back. In less than 30 mins, she called me back with quotes from the best 3 priced carriers. I was amazed at how many different companies that she could tell me thier price. I ended up with Progressive. They were the best deal all around. Then the lady told me that if my Progressive policy later increased, all I need to do is call her at Heartland and with a click of a few buttons, she would put my policy out to bid. But its not good because something serious happened. We , my spouse and I got surprised by a flash flood on Friday 23/08/2016 we where surrounded by a river within minutes after the rain started. The car died as I tried to manoeuvre my way out of this sin flood. Had it not been for a strong truck that moved me to safety my wife and our two dogs all panic stricken would have died of a heart attack. As the car did not start and the battery old I bought a battery next day and installed it. No success. I subsequently had it towed to Vamsa Nissan in Mazatlan.Where it was diagnosed to have water in the motor and asked if I had any insurance for mexico that would cover the cost. Yes , indeed it dawned on me, I had bought an insurance policy from Don Smith covering such events but since I thought it was my battery I didn't think big and call in the claim . But it was and is a big deal. The insurance adjuster told me since the car was moved from where the incident occurred I was not eligible for coverage. I even have Photos of the water surrounding the car. and the testament of a seasoned mechanic pointing out the water to he adjuster Figure that, I didn't even know I had been damaged to such an extend and had it not been for the truck that pushed me out of the water I might still be stranded.
