Recently, I had to visit the AAA office because a family member used my companion membership excessively and caused charges. I got charged 4 time at $100 each because additional member in the family can only use twice in a year on the Classic Membership. Four hundred dollars is a lot of money to me. I came to the office few weeks ago to inquire about how to remove her from my account. The lady behind the counter seemed to be a new-hire. She had to ask her coworker and printed out a summary from her screen. She gave me a paper with highlights of 4 $100 items. At that time, it was only a $200 bill. Of course, I was puzzled with $400 but my bill was only $200. I wanted to get an updated bill, but they don't provide me one. So, I went home to pay with a customer service representative. That call took over an hour because they can't find my Texas membership and kept denying me even existed. Yeah. I started my AAA Membership in California. Then, I moved to Hawaii. About 18 years ago, I moved to Texas. Whenever I call, it kept referring me to my Hawaii membership. "Sorry sir, your account is cancelled." WHAT??! I was furious. So, I came back to the office again. This time, I talked to an experienced agent on the counter, Paul (I hope I got his name right). He broke things down to explain the details to my satisfaction. Prior to stepped into the office, I had very low expectation and about to postpone my membership if they want to charge me again. End result, I think I am going to move my insurance policies to AAA.

I had the best agent she reminds me of a cross between the cute blonde song&dance lady from 'pushing up daisies' and the other song&dance actress that plays '7of9' ... She's Simply a Darling person...Where things go bad was when I had to return because the replacement radio was not working and I also complained about it not having an AUX port like the previous radio... Actually it was the one thing I had asked for concerning a replacement... The stolen radio was really nice and the speakers that came with it are awesome but a flashy replacement would just have me right back for force-entry repairs ... I stated that even just an aux port to the speakers would keep me content ... I'm not much for radio stations/Satellite or otherwise... My cell phone has my needs covered, except for Aux. So I was just about to handover the keys and get my rental-car when the (oddly well-informed on claim) manager guy came by & just started douching-out with intent ... He was saying I was to get the equivalent of what ever basic radio the Chevy Silverado was given by the manufacturer in 2005 (no port)... Unless I can prove what was stolen ...I had the truck about year... No pictures showing the radio ...nothing then to my knowledge ... So he started implying I was a liar in as many roundabout ways as anyone can eagerly state. Lucky for him my KristinChenowethFembot was partial to point out how unlikely someone would be to steal a 2005 OEM radio & the speakers would likely be of a set from the brand... Simply a Darling Lady... I was appeased on my costumer care experience & the radio Re-replacement to boot. (NoFilterDude) -1 starbox

Luckily my son was…read moreable to record the incident as it occurred so I figured there was plenty of evidence and this should be straight forward. To my dismay I was told that some of the damage wouldn't be covered in the claim due to "evidence" from flock cameras. A couple of representatives tried to convince me the damage was pre-existing. Eric Fleming was particularly unhelpful as he couldn't explain where and when the flock cameras captured the "pre-existing" damage. When I asked if I could get info in regards to Progressive's use of flock cameras he was once again very unhelpful. As a victim of vandalism it's incredibly frustrating when you can't depend on your insurance company. Just keep in mind the folks at Progressive can simply point to these flock cameras as a reason to deny your claim. Be careful.
