As a young adult, one of the most intimidating tasks is understanding and obtaining proper insurance coverage; it can be very confusing, frustrating, and overwhelming. Leondra stepped in and straightened everything out for me. She invested time into getting to know me beyond standard paperwork and used what she learned to make sure I was not only getting the best solution for my situation, but that I also fully understood all options available to me. By the time I was signing the dotted line, I was absolutely confident in my decisions, as well as in her and the agency. While others my age don't have proper coverage or know where to begin, I'm all set - including life insurance. It might not seem important while we're young, but Leondra helped me understand exactly why it is. Carol wrote up a side by side comparison of my then policies and what she could offer me. Apecs gave me more coverage for almost half the price! So then you may be thinking "you get what you pay for" and that I may be in trouble. No. Two weeks after signing with them I had my catalytic converters stolen off two vehicles. They were replaced within a week. I had a fire because of some idiot in my building--taken care of again--Immediately. I also ran into a car with a Uhaul. Again, taken care of. Then I had a tree fall on my truck two weeks after buying it--taken care of again. No issues. But the thing that gets me the most is that when I had an issue which my insurance wouldn't pay (a mechanic causes damage to my vehicle), Carol listened to my venting, advised me as to how to deal with it. Without her help, I would've been stuck paying a $7000 repair or having to sue the guy. She went out of her way to help me and I am so grateful. Let's start with a non-competitive price relative to other insurance for the same level of coverage. Then let's tack on lack of smooth and quick response. Several times, when I had to have a tow reimbursed, I was told I could only recieve payment by mailed check. This is simply unacceptable in modernity. This is literally not even up to 1890s standards of technology. In one case, the check never arrived, and I had to ask for it to be resent, further delaying payment. The second time, the office sat on my issue, and didn't address it, as the actual agent was out of the office for two weeks. They only filed it with corporate claims after repeated phone calls from me. During one of those calls, an employee of this agency took issue with my statement that they were providing sub par service, and raved about how long she'd been working in this field, and how she would hang up to such "rudeness". Ok boomer. Later that day, I received a curt follow up email detailing that essentially, I could take up any future concerns with corporate. To be clear, the two younger employees I had previously interacted with were nothing but helpful, response, and decent. Seriously, I would not recommend this agency to my worst enemy. EDIT: Shortly after this review, I received an unsolicited phone call from Diana. The level of unprofessionalism and cluelessness demonstrated only increased, and the overall tenor of her conversation was "please get rid of the review. I had not asked to be called, basically, she wanted to see how many platitudes would make me happy. This is utterly unacceptable, and reeks of retaliation and harassment following a bad review.

Not that there was anything "tiny" about our "di-fferences." But anyway. This is a pretty popular bank in the Milwaukee area and this is a fancy new location of it at the mall at Glendale. It's a little hard to figure out where it is cuz it's part of a big complex of different buildings and shops including Trader Joes. Having said that's not bad and not nearly as much of a rip-off as some of the major National Banks are. But I would still prefer a little Local Credit Union to this place.

I didn't want the same to happen to me, so I compared plans carefully and liked this choice because 1. benefits paid for full or part time loss of income; 2. I could choose a cost of living option so the benefits went up with inflation; and 3. this is a mutual company so all customers are also owners and would get a check each year to offset a big part of our premiums. Of course, disability insurance, similar to auto insurance, is something we hope we never have to use...but when I was diagnosed with cancer 3 /12 years ago and had to reduce work to part-time during my treatments, I was so glad to have it. Northwestern Mutual forms were easy for my doctors and myself to fill out. My doctor only had to fill out the form once more. I submitted forms each quarter, I think, showing how much I was working and giving a prognosis. Northwestern Mutual used my taxes from the previous three years to determine my average (or maybe my highest?) income, and they paid me regularly without any of the harassment I hear about from people about some other disability companies. I always felt believed and supported. The employees who worked with me were caring, skilled and respectful. I would highly recommend Northwestern Mutual disability insurance to anyone seeking a solid insurance plan with good benefits and excellent service.
