So, imagine my surprise when my car got broken into last night, and two windows were smashed and they pulled out the wiring. I contacted a repair shop and they said fixing the windows alone would cost $500. My sister asked me why I didn't just go through insurance... dealing with the hassle wasn't how I planned my Friday but I decided to give it a try. First of all, it took me about five mins to get in touch with her. She asked me what happened, when it happened, and if the car was drivable. I said no, and gave her all the details she needed. She then told me about the closest shops to my house, literally less than a mile away, told me that they would call me, and then told me that I could get a rental car that was covered. For years, I stuck with another broker in the Westminster area, primarily because it was a default recommendation from a real estate agent. That experience, frankly, was a nightmare. Our previous broker was unresponsive, and when our insurance company tried to block us from renewing our coverage, citing an "unlivable" roof (despite us having repaired it years ago and providing proof), that broker was the absolute worst to deal with. They wouldn't respond until our coverage had already lapsed and we had to scramble to find new insurance. To add insult to injury, they then tried to charge us for a renewed coverage we never agreed to! All that to say, when we finally made the switch to Mach 5 Insurance Services, it was a NIGHT AND DAY difference!
