Service request, it's an automatic $100. If the service provider fails to call you back...well you're more likely to win the lottery. If your contractor tries to call to submit the claim, good luck getting someone to answer the phone. If you try to call yourself after the initial service request...good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone. If you have a valid claim...good luck trying to get them to pay their part without some excuse as to why they aren't liable. Don't waste your money on this. Believe me or don't...doesn't bother me except I hate to see people swindled in this day and age when fair and reliable companies are hard to come by. If you work for them, I'm judging how you were raised that you can so easily try to take people across, especially people that are probably the same or similar economical backgrounds. Your sleep at night must be painful.

Round 2 we had a supply line to our kitchen faucet fail 2 months ago, long story short this has been a nightmare!!!!! Allstate sold our policy to a worse example of a company SAGE SURE INS OR IAT INS out of Scottsdale Arizona. After listening to Randy from Allstate telling us what a great adjuster this guy named David from IAT INSURANCE IS, FELT IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP ANY OTHERS FROM GOING THOROUGH WHAT WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH!!!!! ON 3/6/19 kitchen flooded We were told it was our job to mitigate any extra damage!!! We did my wife came home immediately as did I we spent 14 hours drying soaking and removing water. By the way we have 97.000 00 in loss of use on Our policy. That being said, we have asked for nothing more than help direction and a safe place for us as well as my 84 yo mother!!! Who has amputations on both feet, and numerous vascular surgeries!!! The service provided by Allstate IAT AS WELL AS THE RELOCATION SERVICE IS A JOKE. He gets an F for failure…read more A total lack of response has caused me to seek another insurance company after over 20 years. Way to ruin a long-term customer relationship I had with State Farm. It's not like I don't have choices. This guy just works from home by himself since when you call no one ever picks up and then he might call you back later from his cellphone, but usually just ignores your voicemail. He doesn't seem to be able to make any policy corrections quickly (or at all) like other State Farm agents can, and he just does nothing. I've been with other State Farm agents who not only have an office, but can put in policy corrections pretty much immediately, which triggers an updated rate and bill. But with Nima Rad, I'm going on a month and he has done nothing for me at all. You would think he would want the insurance policy to be correct, and get it corrected ASAP, but instead he's just stalling making the corrections probably hoping that I will forget about it and needless pay more money. I only drive like less than 5,000 miles a year yet on my latest bill, he put that I drive over 15,000 a year. And now I can't seem to get him to correct this error. I've had it with this and have sent noticed to the corporate office about it and also am closing all of my multiple policies with State Farm. Good riddance.

He is extremely thorough, patient (I dropped in unannounced and he spent over 2 hours with me!) and did absolutely everything in his power to make sure I'd owe the least and get back the most. Not to mention, he's just a pleasure to work with. I haven't had any experience with other block advisors, but as long as Jack's in the business, that's where I'm going!

Original post 9/30/20: Our long-time Block Advisor retired last year, so we went to this location in San Anselmo for our 2019 taxes. Richard was fine, he was thorough, we were happy. Fast forward to June and we have two tax-related questions. And it's now October and we still haven't gotten a response back from him. Nothing. My husband has left call after call and email after email. Nothing. Why do we go to a Block Advisor office if we can't get reliable communication from them? We pay extra to be able to ask tax questions throughout the year, not just at tax time, and we are getting stonewalled here. My husband has been too generous in waiting for Richard to get back to him; I'd have asked for a new agent by the end of July. Maybe the others in the office are more responsive, but stay away from Richard if you need answers.
