Talked to 2 different agents to simply get an insurance quote on my truck. Communication was terrible! phone calls & even e-mails were not returned. When I sent a copy of my current insurance communication came to a screeching halt. Michigan Law requests $250-$500k Bodily Injury Liability, this agency quoted me $50k to $100k to try and cut corners and remain competitive . My search continues for a competent Auto Insurance Agency yours should as well. read more

Expensive - tedious claims process - very poor communication when they increase your rates. Will ask you to provide documentation that's a complete waste of your time. people there are worse than a chat bot and replacing them with chat bots would be an improvement. read more

Agents are friendly, but incompetent. I submitted all of the required PIP documents TWO MONTHS before the policy renewed. Submitted again ONE MONTH at the agency's request before the policy renewed and was told everything was fine. Payment was processed with no issues. A month later Allstate charges me $215 saying that I did not submit my PIP documents. Cliff Hart Agency confirmed that I submitted the documents on time, but did not make it right. Allstate reimbursed me $187. The agents told me they would look into it and confirmed I had done everything I was supposed to. Haven't heard from them since. This agency will not honor their mistakes. I insured 2 houses and 3 cars and they lost a customer over $28. I will NEVER recommend this agency. This is the second time this exact thing has happened to me. Last time at least they attempted to make it right by giving me $30 in Amazon Cards because they refused to issue a cash refund for their clerical error. There has to be better Allstate Agencies out there. I recommend you take the time to find one not in Williamston. It's sad. I've been with this agency for years. read more

Terrible insurance agency. They convinced my husband to take a homeowners policy that was three times the price of our current one. After that issue was resolved, proceeded to try to convince me to add more insurance every time I called with an issue. Their customer service is a joke. Every time you call them, they just try to get more money out of you. Called to get my car insurance cheaper (because after the first 6 months it almost doubled) and their resolution was to add life insurance. When I had finally had enough, I called to cancel. Got a letter in the mail saying my insurance was going to be cancelled if I didn't pay. I ignored the letter as I had already cancelled and low and behold I got another letter a few weeks ago saying they will send me to collections if I don't pay my last month of insurance. Money hungry people is all they are. read more

My experience with All State and Cliff Hart has been nothing short of miserable. I had an agent that promised me over and over a rate of $140/month for auto insurance and kept re-writing my policies. He told me not to worry about the bills that were coming in the mail and that I would see my new policy. Cliff Hart's office told me that the agent had since left and that I was responsible for the policy balance. I paid it and switched to another insurance provider. It's amazing that I found policies that cost me $60-$70 less WITHOUT a multi-policy discount. Early in 2014, I had a refund from an old policy deposited into my ex-girlfriend's checking account rather than my own. This old policy we shared at the time and All State had our checking account information. I contacted my agent with a new checking account number. However, it never did get put on file and a refund due to me was deposited into the old account. I contacted AllState and they said it was my problem to get the refund from my ex-girlfriend....which obviously didn't happen. My homeowner's policy was drawn up wrong from the beginning. My house has a 3 year old roof, and the policy shows a 20 year old roof. Cliff Hart's office told me that they would contact Hanson roofing for the documentation and even send an inspector to verify. This, of course, did not happen. I emailed Cliff about the whole experience with his agent, broken promises, homeowner's policy inaccuracies and the refund deposit mistake. He took no responsibility for the situation and told me that I should have contacted him or his office to clear it up. This proves that there is no point of an independent agency. Just do it through the company directly. I received an explanation as to why it was my fault to trust his agent; no explanation for the refund I never received; as well as no solution to the inaccurate homeowners policy. Shop around for better rates if you are using AllState, in particular if you are dealing with Cliff Hart's agency. You will find better rates and deal with someone with higher ethics that actually does appreciate your business. The worst part of this experience: not one single apology from Cliff Hart or his team for his agent. Not one single apology or resolution for the refund being deposited in someone else's bank account. Not one single apology for the inaccurate homeowner's policy. This agency puts profits as a #1 priority; while putting ethics and customer service on the back burner Below Cliff posted a comment rebutting the review. My post is 100% accurate. Slander is a false spoken statement about an individual or business. I have documentation of my homeowner's showing a 20 year old roof which I cannot post on this. My ex never made a payment in 2014 either. I gave the updated information to my agent (Jason) and it never was filed....hence the refund going into her account. I would not even give them 1 star but I had to put something in. Too many problems to list. Just stay away from this office of in fact any of his offices. Service is not personal, you are just a number to them. Get insurance elsewhere. read more

Do not get insurance from this agency. It is the worst example of customer service I have ever received. I traded in my car and put the new car on my husband's insurance at another company, so I called to cancel my policy with Allstate. The agent on the phone told me it would "take a while" to process but in the meantime he would take my account of the auto-pay so that I would not have to pay the January payment. In the meantime I also sent an email to the "email me" link on the website requesting the policy be cancelled. So imagine my surprise when I saw the payment confirmation for the January payment! He flat out lied to me. I emailed to complain as the office wasn't open and I received an response saying they have no record of ever talking to me. I even forwarded the phone log and the email sent requesting the cancellation, and I was simply told "I never got this." How convenient. When I pressed for a refund he accused me of lying about selling the car and told me he would be "happy if this is our last correspondence." Cliff Hart is the rudest man in the insurance industry. He doesn't care that his agents lie to customers on the phone and ignores emails sent to his office. Then he accuses the customer of lying. Do yourself a favor and find another agency. read more
