More than three months after closing I received an email from the agent that the carrier was "no longer" insuring coastal property and that I had two weeks to find a replacement policy. It turns out that the underwriter had rejected the policy back in June because the carrier does not insure coastal property! I was lucky that I had no incident during this period because I was not covered. I wish the owner, Steve Gebhardt, had admitted his company's mistake right away.
