First off I was with Allstate for over ten years which I was happy with the services in the…read morebeginning. Over the years they began to raise all my insurance premiums tremendously which I called in several times and asked to see what options they had for me which I was offered a 5000 deductible on my home owners insurance and 1000 dollar deductible on my auto insurance which I realized that "I'm not in good hands" and was told that their was nothing that could be done. At that point, I was left with no option to switch over to a new insurance company which the rates were way less and I felt that the people that I was going to have a new business relationship with would generally be in my best interest. After running everything with the new company, my deductible on my auto insurance was cut in half and home owner's insurance dropped tremendously. Once I contacted Allstate to inform them that I was leaving only THEN was I informed that they could match my new rate for auto insurance and only THEN miraculously were they able to offer me lower my home owners insurance which still didn't beat the rate of my new carrier! The last thing that they did which l NEVER go back with them is that after I paid them off for both policies in full, they charged me for two days of auto insurance coverage which I called up and provided them with my new auto insurance coverage start date and they still argued about it saying I owe for coverage even though I had coverage from my new provider. No one at the office had the common curiosity to discuss the situation with me and I had to call several times to get told "I don't have the time to speak with every customer about these issues" as per exact words. At this point, I would really shop around first before using this specific office especially with the rates. I feel like I wasted a lot of time and money dealing with them. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! And lastly when you try to change companies, they will bad mouth who ever you are changing to which I found very unprofessional. They actually had the nerve to say they will check back in 6 months to see if I want their services!

After calling all of the big name insurance companies and receiving many online quotes, I was left with several outrageously high quotes and an email inbox full of spam. In frustration, I did a random search of local insurance companies and was lucky enough to find Richmond & Associates. I called their office in the 12th hour of my closing process. At 4:00 on a Thursday afternoon, Mr. Richmond was able to offer a quote, and went on to provide me with all of the documents needed to close on my home in less than 24 hours. The policy was both comprehensive in its coverage and reasonable in its price. I am actually paying less money for more. I will be using Richmond and Associates for all of my insurance needs.
