Driving eastbound 55 towards the city. 2 dumptrucks hauling rock and dirt both directly infront of…read moreme. Rock hits windshield. I call the hauling company, they requested pics which were sent. A few hours later, a rep named Greg Horton (later identified as the Vp of the insurance company) says that i have no proof the rock was from his client, because of his access to a gps imaging satellite showing the 2 trucks, their load weight and if they are tarped- (the second truck was NOT). He also saw a dark colored car, but has no prood that was my car. Greg interrogated me for the better part of 8minutes, finally landing on a story about a magic tarp that no human but he can see, which allows for all debris collection. Greg is a fantastic bullsh*t artist and professional pr*ck who is even better at 455p when he is hangry and wants to leave for the day. If your a shady hauling company, Greg is your kinda guy. To those with low riding vehicles, expect a magic tarp theory, and a waste of your time.

I had to ask three times how much was it to add equipment purchased by my company. I had to ask multiple times for certificates of insurance to be sent, when normally I could get them within 24 hours. You can hardly ever get a live person to answer the phone. I finally found another agent that has been great so I cancelled the renewal with this company. They didn't notify the insurance companies that we cancelled, so we actually received an audit for 20 days worth of insurance that we never had, and they said it was cancelled due to non-payment. I had another commercial policy with them for another company we own, and they didn't cancel the policies on those either. I have sent three emails to multiple agents there and I have not heard anything back. Horrible communication!! Prices were getting outrageous as well. I rarely ever write a bad review, but this company deserves it. They simply didn't do their job.

So many mistakes 1 when I joined American…read moreFamily it took months for Robert to get my email correct causing numerous letters from the parent company to me and numerous phone calls from me to Robert. 2 when I bundled all my policies I had SIX months left to change my insurance for my rental property. I gave Robert SIX months to add the property before the insurance would lapse. He waited until two or three days before insurance would lapse. I had to call him numerous times in those SIX months to remind him and then in the last week call and finally get it done. Then after no claims ever American Family sent me a letter saying my rate was going up over 50% because their satellite says my roof is stained and they thought I would file a claim. I have 30 year architectural shingles on a 9 year old home. I used to own a gutter business, there is NOTHING wrong with my roof but my rate goes up over 50% because their SATELLITE says I could file a claim???? Then the straw that broke the camels back. I called this June to add my 16 year old to our car insurance. I spoke to Robert gave him my daughters info and he assured me she was added and covered. 6 weeks later I get a letter from Corporate American Family Insurance saying it has come to their attention I have an uninsured driver in my home and that is against State law so I need to add her. I called Robert's office and what do you know it appears he failed to add my child. So my 16 year old drove uninsured for 6 weeks. I told the other agent to add my child that day and informed him I would be looking for a new insurance company. Two weeks later I changed insurance yet American Family was not done with me. I then received a bill for $150.00 for BACK pay auto insurance for the 6 weeks they failed to cover her!!!! They get paid for services NON rendered for 6 weeks that were risk free for them. I asked American Family Insurance if they would have covered my daughter if she had been in a horrible accident in that 6 weeks that caused millions in lawsuits and damages? They assured me they would have. LOL. I appealed this bill all the way up the chain of American Family Insurance they could care less. I have obtained a lawyer. Go with another Insurance Company save the headaches. American Family Insurance could care less about you they just want your money.
