Poor customer service and unethical practices. They re-instated a policy against my wishes after telling me that it would not be.

I wish that I would have read these reviews before switching to Allstate and this agency. If you receive a mailer, do not switch. We switched to Allstate from USAA in March of 2023. In October 2023, we woke up to our home on fire. We barely got out alive. We lost everything; cars, home, family photos, our children's art, jewelry, irreplaceable family items, everything. The Allstate Home inspector told us that we were significantly underinsured. We had $500,000 in insurance and the estimate to rebuild our home was $650,000. We bought the home for $389k 4 years before and our home was inspected by Allstate 6 months before the fire. We had no way to know that $500k wasn't enough insurance. I reached out to the owner of our agency for assistance via phone and via email. Mr. Rue is not responsive. Next, it took Allstate a long time to issue payment and we were on a time limit so we had to pay out of pocket to hire an architect and purchase household items, clothes, etc. We were informed that we had 12 months of additional living expenses not to exceed $200,000. It it took longer to build, the time frame could be extended and someone would reach out 60-90 days before our lease expired. We hired a builder and are out of pocket $100,000 to rebuild. 3 weeks ago, an agent reached out to see if we needed additional time. I said "yes". He replied a few days later saying it was his error, we can't have an extension. I requested a call and he never called me. He then emailed me our policy with incorrect dates and information. When I corrected him he said, "my apologies, I was looking at the wrong claim". This agent communicated misinformation that has led to our family having nowhere to live in 2 months. I followed up with the agent via phone and via email 4 times since his last email to me and I have not had a return call. I called Mr. Rue's office and was told that I would hear back. I have not heard back. I emailed Mr. Rue myself on September 5th and he has not replied but he also did not reply to my prior email in January. This has been a devastating time for our family. You are definitely not in good hands with this Allstate agency. Run far far away. read more

My policy was canceled without any notice because I did not (unknowingly) produce a document they needed. I was never called and asked to produce the document. And I was never given notice my policy would be canceled via email or phone. I drove around for months not knowing my policy was canceled read more

This is worst Allstate agency I've ever dealt with. I received a bill for a policy that never got finalized because Naya was not competent enough to get the insured property address corrected even after we spelled it out for her. I doubt anyone would want to insure their new home with the wrong address. I also contacted Paul Rue and received no response from him. I guess at this agency we're not in good in hands. read more

If your looking for abysmal customer service, but a stellar ability to increase rates, look no further. I had Allstate insurance for years and have never had issues until Paul became my agent. I tried repeatedly to discuss my policy, but he never returned my calls- even when I scheduled a meeting via his secretary. Upon trying to cancel, the office ignored my paperwork and stopped responding. When I called the corporate office, he had not even filed any paperwork. There are many other agents in Atlanta. So when my agents business got closed down I was switched to this agent. No big deal but when I wanted a policy update I emailed him twice and never heard back. Plus I also asked for a quote on a new policy and nothing. However, instead of getting an response they added to me their marketing emails. read more

You know, I'm going to go ahead and give this office 5 stars, because there's no reason not to! I've found them to be nothing but very personable and helpful. My insurance rates are actually very good, and the lady who helps me even remembers who I am every time I call. I can't say that for every business I deal with regularly. I have been using Paul Rue's agency for rental insurance for several years. I contacted them to get an auto insurance quote. Naya gave me a quote via email. Several days later she raised the price. She told me there would be no down payment required. When I responded a few days later, she gave me another quote with a down payment required. When I started to ask questions, she became very defensive and patronizing. I asked her to have Paul email me. He called the next day and left a voicemail. I emailed him that night, asking him to email me a response because I work a lot of long hours. He called me again, stating that it would be easier to talk on the phone, completely disregarding my request for email correspondence. I again emailed him asking for an email response. He has completely ignored me. I have now filed a complaint with Allstate corporate. Hopefully someone there will care about fulfilling their written commitments and providing actual customer service. read more

Had in homeowners and auto insurance with them for a number of years but when their prices got to high and I wanted to cancel, the agency neglected to process my paperwork for cancellation and left my policy running even after trying to follow up with them a number of times. read more
