I have had state farm for over 30 years, disappointed to write this. Storm hit our house last year…read more(greater than 6 months ago) still do not have resolution on repairs with SF. Called Jeff's team for help, told that they don't write the checks, don't approve the claims and are simply middle men in the process. State Farm has not been responsive to calls and call backs, constant delays and requests for additional information after providing what was asked for originally. In lieu of helping, referred me to the state insurance commissioner. Was hoping the office would help instead of the commissioner. Will try both avenues now.

They are despicable. I was two days late on my monthly payment b/c my father was in the hospital…read morefor a week, then he passed away, so I was a little busy at the time, so they charged me a 15% late fee. 15%!!!! When I called them to explain the situation & ask them to waive the fee they refused, what with them being subhuman beings. So I paid my premium for that month & that day I looked for another auto insurance carrier. When I discovered I could switch companies that day I immediately cancelled my policy with Direct Auto, meaning I should have gotten a full refund for the month I paid that very day. They refused to issue the refund, so I filed a dispute with my bank & was refunded the money. 4 months later I get a bill from them for $31, claiming it was the balance of the premium owed, when I owe them nothing. I'm fighting this & I will not pay it, having an 840 credit score I couldn't care less about the hit I might take for $30 Direct Auto is fraudulently billing me, basically trying to steal money. They're really sick people.
