I was looking for a small to mid sized company that had an owner that was actively involved, and had a small crew and knew what they were doing. I am VERY HAPPY I found Tonka Roofing since they exceeded every expectation I had and did a great job! We called Lifetime Builders for a free consultation and quote, and to see if perhaps some of the summer storms had caused the damage. Sergey came to our house to check out the damage both exterior and interior, and we set an appointment for Mike and Sergey to return to meet with the insurance adjuster so they could help us work with our insurance company to ensure that the entire roof was covered. The adjuster found evidence of severe weather damage to the roof, and Lifetime Builders placed me on the schedule for installation for the very next week. The crew arrived early on the day they were scheduled. The men were very friendly, and they worked hard all day. The first day, they did most of the removal of the old roof and installed weatherproofing for the new one. They did a phenomenal job on clean-up after the demo day, and they came back first thing the next morning and installed the new roof all within the second day. The workers left my yard looking just as good or better than before once finished with final cleanup. We had a new roof within 2 weeks of calling Lifetime Builders, and Lifetime Builders helped us work with our insurance company to ensure that every expense except our deductible was covered and paid for. They even helped with organizing the repair of the drywall ceiling inside. We could not be happier with our new roof and new ceiling in the bathroom. They claim that there is nothing wrong with the roof itself and therefore they do not have responsibility for the leak, and because the leak only occurs with heavy storms with wind, the leak cannot be caused by the roof. However, this leak did not exist prior to their work on the roof. Basically stay away, they are not to be trusted to stand by their work.

I would not recommend this company to anyone! Twin City Homeworks, LLC (TCHW) was recommended to me…read moreby my insurance agency to replace my roof due to storm damage. I also decided to hire them to replace my siding due to woodpecker damage. I thought it would be easier to have one company do both jobs. On their website they state that they maintain contact with their customers and I have found this to be untrue! Many times it was 2+ weeks after contacting the representative I was working with before I got any response from him either by phone or text, and at least twice I had to call the office before I got any response. This is BAD customer service and communication skills. They got approval from my insurance company and started work on the roof in June, 2018 and I paid them and they started work on the siding in August, 2018. As of today, September 4, 2019, neither job is completed, although they have sent me multiple final invoices asking for final payment. When I saw the initial invoices, I noticed a few items being double-billed (i.e. painting of fascia & soffit on roof job, replacement of fascia & soffit for siding, wrapping of 2 windows on roof claim, replacement of all window wrapping on siding job, etc...). I was told it would be straightened out. When I received the final invoices in October, 2018 those items were still being double-billed I had to go to the main office to get it straightened out myself. I went to the City to check on the inspections because I had not seen an inspector and I found out inspections had NOT been requested and the $100 permit that I paid for to do the siding had not been taken out by TWCH. The inspection for the siding was done January 4, 2019 and for the roof in June, 2019. Neither one passed. The City Inspector is requiring one correction for each job. I have spoken to 3 representatives from TCHW multiple times since January about the correction needed for the siding and a correction I have requested and no one has made any attempt to do any corrections required or requested. Hire this company if you want no communication, BAD customer service and a never completed job. Otherwise look elsewhere!
