Shopped here for my wedding dress, and ended up not purchasing after being told that maybe my long hair could help cover my back fat-- while in the fitting area, in a strapless gown-- that was a sample size. The owner/consultant went on and on about her wedding at the four seasons and how a slim figure is flattering-- she said that if I perhaps wore tredrails in my hair like she did that it would look So elegant and romantic on me, but only if I lost some weight and could pull it off! The best personalized bridal experience in Rockland County! I got my DREAM wedding dress from Suzanne and it was the most fun and painless shopping trip ever. I felt like I was shopping with family. I had been to a few other shops and couldn't find the right dress and had pushy saleswomen. Suzanne was knows her fashion and has the most gorgeous dresses, clearly hand picked so it wasn't too overwhelming. It was just my family and I so all her attention was on me. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she pulled so many dresses that fit that but also showed me things I hadn't considered. I am such a happy bride to be and I owe it all to Suzanne!!! read more

DO NOT recommend. Fair selection of dresses, but WORST customer service and bridal experience I've ever had. I've been to birnbaum and bullock, RK bridal, Springhouse, Letitia's bridal, and more for multiple friends searching for their wedding dress. I believe Suzanne was my friend's consultant. She was pushy and rude. Definitely felt like she was attempting to bully my friend into buying a dress that day. After my friend had mentioned that she'd like straps and a ball gown, any attempt to even peruse a rack without that style, or to possibly choose a different style, Suzanne would push in, "no that's by what you asked for so don't look there...No that's not what you said you wanted, so you don't bother." Or "why did you tell me one style, if you want to look at another?" Laughing at my friends request about any dress above her price range. The dressing area is in the middle of the room, and multiple times my friend was in view because Suzanne failed to wait until she was covered to open the curtains or didn't bother to close them. From the reviews below, I can't imagine them to be genuine. She is a horrible saleswoman and would make any bride feel awful during her dress experience. She was strangely sneaky about pricing, "all of sudden" a price would drop or increase after we noticed a discrepancy. Of all the places in Rockland, please please go somewhere else. Springhouse in Garnerville made me want to patronize their business and I'm not even a bride. read more

I just loved this bridal shop! It's just above a jewelry store in a restored house, and the ladies that work there are wonderful! Suzanne helped me pick out a dress in my price range and we altered it just in time for my wedding. She is full of energy and so personable. I'd HIGHLY recommend this shop to brides!! Alluring Brides is the place to go for your wedding dress. You work one on one with an entire store of beautiful wedding gowns. I worked with Suzanne for my wedding dress and she's absolutely amazing. She knew what to recommend based on my preferences. She doesn't rush you and most importantly the dresses will actually fit you. Unlike other bridal stores where they only provide runway samples and you feel like being a normal size is about the size of an elephant, Alluring Brides has average sized dresses. Suzanne is wonderful! She made my future sister in law feel comfortable while searching for her bridal gown! I also was able to find my bridesmaid dress with Suzanne's help. It literally took me less than an hour. I showed her the dress styles I liked from a specific designer from an online website, she pulled them for me and help me visualize how I would look when the dress was in my size. I wouldn't recommend the place. Bought my dress in the middle of February with putting their required deposit down, only to get a phone call 2 weeks later that the dress was already in, when I was originally told it wouldn't come in until the end of May. I explained to the girl on the phone (which wasn't the owner Suzanne) that I'd need some time to figure out finances since I wasn't expecting it to come in so soon, I had just booked some other vendors and she said it wouldn't be a problem at all! I then get a phone call from Suzanne accusing me of "leaving my dress there for almost 2 months" (which is impossible because I only ORDERED it a month ago that point) and that she needed her payment now and never holds her brides dresses longer than 2 weeks. I explained to her that the girl I spoke to earlier said it wouldn't be a problem at all, that she understood the dress came very early but she did not want to hear it. Fast forward to the day I go and actually pick up the dress. Suzanne explains to me that the designer of my particular dress tends to send out their dresses right away and that it wasn't her fault or her problem. She then hands me over a copy of my paid receipt with a little note on there saying "customer is upset dress is here early. Very rude", and then tried to deny that she ever wrote that down herself and blamed it on one of the girls that works in her shop as she continued to cross it off as if I didn't already see it myself. Moral of the story, they obviously lie about their ship dates...and could care less about it. Probably should disclose to your brides that it's possible the dress may come in early and if that's going to be ok with you but then on top of all that, she has the audacity to be nasty and rude! Not very good customer service! I definitely won't be taking my 12 bridesmaids there! read more

OMG, how to start. This place has gorgeous dresses which are apparently had to find, and lots of inventory. That said, the owner Suzzane is a nasty witch. She threw me out, the mother of the bride (with the cash) as soon as I walked in, saying that it was too crowded (it wa snot) with another bridal party there. We had a FIRM APPOINTMENT for a Saturday time, yet there were only 3 of us and I had to wait in the car. Worse than that, this fresh bum rips people off with her dirty alteration scam. STAY FAR AWAY. Don't line her rich pockets, her husband owns a jewelry store underneath hers and the whole BUILDING! She is independent and nasty. Do not get alterations (priced later and made up inflated 3 times) from her because then she has your paid in full cash dress and you have nothing unless you pay like $350 for a hem. read more

This place has amazing dresses and the customer service matches. The prices are reasonable with other bridal stores and the dresses the owner brings out to you are in your price range. She doesn't make you feel uncomfortable because of your budget either. I was the only bride trying the dresses on and had her full attention. Suzanne is as rude as she is full of herself!!! I will NOT recommend Alluring bridal to even my worst enemy!! Oh and the alterations with their seamstress cost almost as much as the dress. Plus all dresses must be paid in full before ordering. I've been in plenty of weddings & all other bridal salons that were used only required a deposit. read more

Worst experience! I went to get fitted for a bridesmaid dress and the owner measured me and the rest of the bridesmaids. She advised us that she measures everyone to ensure everyone is correctly measured. When our dresses came in our bride picked them up and gave them to everyone. I tried dress on and it seemed I just needed the top fixed. This became an issue when fixing the top of the dress made the long gown even shorter on me. When I called her to ask if she ordered my longer (since I am 5'7) she advised me she did. She was rude and put the blame on ME, the customer. She told me to just wear 'a flat shoe'. I explained the dress has a slit in the front and flats would not look good. She said 'well i dont handle bridesmaid dresses anymore so this is not my problem'. She proceeded to be rude and then HUNG UP ON ME!! What type of owner treats a customer that way?? STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!!!! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They do not give clear information when they call to leave you messages and they lie about shipping and arrival dates. I wanted to rush my dress since I don't live in Rockland and they told me not to and promised it would be in during early June (I ordered it in April) but it didn't come in till July. If I would have paid to rush it, the dress would've been in much sooner. When I called/texted to ask Suzanne questions about when my dress would be in, her tone was fairly rude and gave me the impression that I shouldn't be calling her to find out things. She actually told me not to call again and they would call me when it came in. Even speaking to anyone other than Suzanne, they are extremely rude. They do not have a seamstress on site, which is not what they tell you when you go to purchase your dress. One of her sales girls actually told me she had to hang up with me because they had people in the store when I was trying to arrange a time to come in to do a fitting, didn't give me their seamstress's number, or offer to call me back. The selection is alright, but it's only really possible to see their brides dresses, not bridesmaids, if you are physically impaired. The elevator is old and jerky and then when you finally get up to the store, you have to go up a narrow spiral staircase (almost like a ladder) if you want to see the bridesmaid dresses. I will never go there again and strongly recommend against going to this store. read more
