I was looking on the "2016 Row by Row Experience" website, and found this terrific store and I am so glad I visited! Large supply of fabric, sewing & embroidery machines & products, notions, tools and lots of thread. I got to meet the owner in person, and she is very friendly and knowledgeable! Prices were very competitive with online stores, but the owner is the true gem (sorry forgot her name ..... I am so embarrassed). The other employees were also very welcoming. When walking in one woman asked if I needed help. I basically said the above. One of them barked "this isn't cross stitch". I said I know, my mother used to do needlepoint and I'm open to new things. She then proceeded to tell me (in quite a snotty tone) "I'm sure this isn't your mother's needlepoint either". Fine. You'll never get my business. I think the other woman might have tried to save herself by starting to tell me everything was hand painted. I was so turned off I told my husband let's go, and we walked out. Don't make judgements and be nasty to potential customers. Obviously they don't care if someone new might have been willing to spend money in their pricey shop. What a disappointing experience.

It was nice to be mostly us. When booking there were some issues with differences in pricing. I called though and they took care of it giving me the lower listed price. The caddy's come put together. I thought we would build them as well so that was disappointing. I guess it would have taken too long. We stained the wood and dried it and then she came around with a pre made stencil with your phrase and you painted it. Really wasn't that much to it. After already having had a bad experience the same day at another store, we were looking forward to finding the perfect dress. Instead, the woman who helped us showed my daughter and I two dresses that did not fit and claimed she was "stumped" on her sizing. She then proceeded to direct me to once area of dresses and told to pick something from there. We selected something that was ok but I could tell my daughter was not thrilled. She didn't have the ear to ear smile I expected. When I told the salesperson we weren't thrilled she responded with "I don't know what else I can show you." Meanwhile we had tried on about 4-5 dresses...there were well over 40 in the room and she insisted nothing would work. The family that was in the store right before us looked like they had the red carpet rolled out and we were shooed out like we were worthless. We took our business elsewhere and were treated with respect and kindness, which we did not experience at Pashley. This store and its associates need to take the stick out of their ass. We found dresses that were just as beautiful and superior service elsewhere.

She had her baby on the hip the entire event, which was alarming for a workshop where you can literally get hurt anywhere you turn. At one point, she had the baby in a walker and he was just walking around hitting into things and I almost tripped over him... I couldn't believe it honestly. Something could've fallen on him and it wasn't like this was a last minute event. This was planned way ahead of time where she could've found child care coverage for the day, it was no excuse. She was extremely rude to the children and parents alike, I was really taken back. I signed up beforehand on the website and when it was time to make the craft, my daughters name wasn't on the list. She shoved the list in my face and said "you didn't sign up!" I said "I know for a fact I signed up because I sat down with my daughter and I let her pick out exactly what craft she wanted". She then shoved the list back in my face and said "no you didn't, she's not on the list!" My daughter is 5, you're a business owner, it's a simple fix, what's with the attitude? My husband and I were strongly thinking about doing an event together there to make something. We would never go now after this. The crafts are extremely expensive too, not worth it.

Looking over the website I was a bit hesitant as I saw the prices. I thought..."This seems a bit pricey...I'm not sure..." But I threw caution to the wind and decided, what the heck. You pick your date that you want to come to the workshop and you pick your project as well as the design. Upon arrival, your wood pieces are there for you as well as the stencils for your chosen design. You are provided a color sheet that has the paint colors, as well as the wood stain colors. There are a ton of examples on the walls too, as well as samples of different wood staining techniques. Ethan was helping out today and I have to say - I am not sure if our experience would have been as enjoyable if not for him. He was simply AMAZING. So kind, warm, engaging and helpful. He didn't mind when I picked out 5,3492 colors for my wood tray project. If I came back here, I'd want him to be working again. Anyways, I am not going to bore you with the step by step process but the three hours allotted kinda flew by. Depending on your project and the design/colors you pick, you will see why. In my tray with the art supplies, I wanted certain supplies to be "true" to real life and used multiple colors for a single item and this of course took time. The process is fun, easy and even for those who claim "they can't draw" or "they aren't creative" I call malarky - this is a place where you will absolutely have success and have a true one of a kind creation that you have made, and that you didn't purchase from Home Goods or something of the like. Head on down here for the afternoon with a friend or significant other and you are sure to have fun and get those creative juices flowing.
