The business closes prior to what is posted. I took items in once and had no issue. When I took in 1 item that was fully paid ahead of time, the store closed about an hour before the sign showed on a Friday. I called and Alma answered and she said come Monday and we will be there. I called before I came gave my name to the employee who asked me who I was and she said yes they would be there until close. I got there and my pants could not be found. I asked the employee to call Alma. Alma made her way to the store. In the meantime there was another customer pulling his pants/ underwear down to show me his hip scar, then his shoulder scar. Another poor man returned for a dress for his daughter that was promised that same day and was not yet ready. They were still working on it. Alma did come in and told him to come back tomorrow. She could not find my jeans and told me to do the same. I told her I could not do that because my schedule was changing so they needed to be found as I had already paid for the service. She told me you talk to much and I don't want to say anything bad to you come back tomorrow. I said I cannot due to my schedule I have come back twice now for these pants. She says you talk too much and raised a hand waving me off to leave. She said it's ok you come back tomorrow. She said you should call first. I said I did. She asked her employee and the employee said yes she did. She found my jeans on a rack I thanked her and left. This shop's employees does great work when they are open. However, it is hard to know when that will be if you work. A business owner should not get to the point of wanting to say something bad if there is no name calling, cussing or abuse occurring. Customer service and keeping track of clothes is part of the job. read more

If you're ever in a hurry, go to Alma 's! My girlfriend's dress needed to be hemmed a day before a wedding and Alma was able to get the work done any single hour! I have no idea how she did it, all I know is that my girlfriend loved the fit! The price was extremely fair considering the massive time crunch. Horrible customer service. Alma herself is sweet. i have taken several items there for alterations and they are never done when they say they will be done. She's had my daughters fire suit for over 4 months and nothing. Hours of operation seem to fly out the window because they are never open as advertised as for people who have to travel to get there , it's really an inconvenience and gas isn't cheap . Alterations are over priced but I do like to support small businesses. Overall just not worth the trouble . read more

I've seen all of the negative reviews but I must say otherwise. Alma and her staff are always friendly, clear about what is to be altered and careful about her pickup times. True she does not always have my alterations on the exact day as others have mentioned but I understand how busy she is and how one or two difficult alterations can affect her scheduling flow. I dropped off my uniform to be tailored here on a friday, and i was promised to pick it up on monday. I came back on monday, and their shop is closed before the "closing time" they had posted which is 5pm. I said, no big deal, ill come back the next day-tuesday. I came back around 3pm and yet again, the shop is closed. This is the reason why i would not recommend this place. If u drop off something and expect it to be done a certain time, forget it. I had to drive 30mins. It's a waste of time and gas. I even tried calling before coming, but the phone they had listed, i get no answer. Im giving this place 1 star! read more

I took 3 Pendleton's to Almas to have them taken in... Big mistake she took them in way to much these shirts where 150$ bucks a piece! She also hemmed up two pairs of pants one for my wife and one for myself. Wife's turned into floods and mine ended up with a snag that was about a foot long in the back. When I questioned her about it she proceeded to tell me I brought them in like that. The pants were brand new by the way as well as the Pendleton's! I've had a couple of jeans hemmed and a dress brought in at this place, although it says open til 5 it's always a hit and miss with this place, mostly miss. Even if it's 3 or 4 it's closed. When I went to pick up my dress 4 days late they had not worked on it at all, had to wait another day or two. Work they do is ok but coming back and forth really sucks, especially if you work and have a fam. Should be open as it says it is. Will be finding another place to take my clothes. read more

When I went to pick up my clothes, one of her employees said "Here comes the (racial slur)" in Spanish about me, assuming I could not understand them. Who does that about a customer? DO NOT GO HERE. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. She ruined my wedding dress. She did not have it until over a week after the date she said she would. Everyday I spoke to her she would say "I'll have it tomorrow, come tomorrow ". I live 20+minutes away and she didn't even have the curtesy to call and say it wouldn't be ready, this happened for a whole week. And she wouldn't answer my calls so I had no choice but to drive these. She promised something and it didn't even come close and she handed it to me 2 days before the wedding day, with no time for me to have it fixed. All of the groomsmen took their suits to her as well and she was late with those 2. And she always had a lame excuse as to why she didn't have them, stating that too many customers came in that day. If you don't have time to work on the clothes you already accepted then she should not be taking on extra work. Please do not even give her the benefit of the doubt. On multiple days, I witnessed a number of people being told, "oh sorry I don't have your item, come tomorrow." I would give her 0 stars if I could. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with another human being. She starts out very nice and sweet but turns out to be very rude and dismissive. I took in 2 items on June 26th and did not get then back until today August 15th. I had to persistently call her to check on my items because she would never call me even when she said she would. Very sloppy work she stated several times that she had taken my items to the dry cleaners (which I never asked her to do) the items came back with stains so I asked her them name of the cleaners to which she back tracked and stated she never took them to the cleaners but pressed them herself. When I asked for a receipt to show proof I had picked up my item she began to get hostile and even got another customer involved. I'm out $65 plus my clothes are ruined. Do not let her lay one finger on your clothes because they won't come on time or done correctly. I cannot even begin to describe her sloppy work. Also she only accepts cash. read more

One of the worst tailer shops I have ever been to. The owner is always late to open her shop, they only do cash or check, and worst of all they do not take measurements. I had to go back and forth from visalia 4 times before I could actually get my jacket. It still didn't come out the way I wanted. So I had to go to another shop to get the jacket trailered again. I took a uniform in because the Navy exchange was very backed up. I asked if the provided dry cleaning also, and the lady said no over the phone so I asked for a same day or next day so I can take it to the dry cleaners myself. She said she will do it the same day and charged me extra. I returned at the time stated on my receipt and the uniform had yet to be touched with the excuse of "I got backed up because I had to pick up dry cleaning", which they didn't do per our phone conversation. I said well since you aren't done and I didn't have time to watch her sow my uniform up, to take my uniform to the cleaners and ill pay the difference. The following Monday, I went back to pick up my uniform and the another lady had no idea what I was talking about and said she would have the manager call me because she leaves clothes in her car sometimes. She calls me at their closing time and says that they have it, she just hadn't realized where it was. She asked if I would come back to the store or pick it up tomorrow. Now today here and she is closed. I have been back and forth to this tailor shop more than Anyone should. Clearly no tracking system and no accountability. read more
