Beautiful 7 foot tree for $63
    Chad R.

So, this was my first and possibly not my last visit here to purchase a tree. For years I've driven by this place, and always dreamed about my first Christmas tree from them. Now I am a first time home buyer, and i couldn't wait for the Friday after thanksgiving to grab my own tree! they had a great variety of fairly priced trees. It probably took me about 5 minutes for my girlfriend and I to decide on which one we wanted. We decided on a 7 foot, wide, fresh tree. I was so happy with it. $63. Here's the bad. Right from the start, the gentlman who assisted us was annoyingly pushy. He immediately greeted us, which was nice, but he kept directing our attention to a tree without us looking around comfortably. We broke away for a minute and kindly stated we needed to look around by ourselves, in which for some reason he felt it was ok to follow us around. My blood pressure raised. So, we decided on a tree within 5 minutes, and the man grabbed the tree, and started walking to my truck. I stopped him and said " excuse me, but I want a fresh cut," and his response was that "it was just freshly cut an hour ago." So, I took his word, what do I know right? I brought the tree home, immediately put it into its stand with water, and enjoyed the beauty of it. Next morning, the water level had not moved. My tree stand shows the level, and it clearly showed the tree wasn't retaining water. So I sprung into action, popped the tree out of the stand, and grabbed my saw. The bottom was completely sealed with sap. Right to the touch. I cut a half inch, put it into its stand, and by the end of the day about 3 cups of water had been consumed. Ever since then, it's been drinking. I was very lucky that I caught this in time, because I've researched this and this would of killed the tree fast. If you purchase from here, it is a great place to get a great tree. However, make it known that you want a fresh cut, no matter what they say. I will probably be coming back here next year, regardless of that little hiccup.

The summer tomatoes from here are delicious. I wish they could have them year round!

They are closed in the winter and spring but do sell pumpkins and mums during the Fall and trees and wreaths around Christmas.

I am glad I had a chance to visit before Thanksgiving to stock up on some goodies! If you've been to Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown, Four Town is kind of similar, although the rustic farmhouse-chic shop does not have a prepared foods counter. However, they more than make up for it with all the amazing vegetables and fruits grown onsite. I was very impressed with the Honeycrisp Apples and Butternut Squash, as well as their wide selection of house made jellies and salad dressings. In addition to Four Town's slate of offerings, they also showcase other local vendors such as Wrights Dairy Farm's milk and cakes and Venda Ravioli's frozen fresh pasta and sauces. Four Town also carries fresh flowers and greenery that is holiday-ready - Christmas Trees and decorative wreaths and evergreen garlands. The team is friendly and offers excellent assistance in recommendations and recipe ideas- everyone we interacted with was delightful. This is a great stop along the way to lunch or dinner in neighboring Warren or Bristol, and a lovely way to spend a weekend afternoon!

So I went ahead and bought a container of strawberries and they were so fragrant and delicious but half of them were all mushy and squished to the point that it wasn't edible it was gross and very disappointing because it was over $8 for a quart of the strawberries.

I ordered a $75.00 fruit basket ($10.00 delivery- $85.00 total) as a bereavement gift at 9:30 am on a Tuesday morning to be delivered to the family the next day, Wednesday, the day of the wake. I asked for a card saying "Our thoughts and prayers are with you today". I was told it was not a problem, it would be delivered by 1:00 pm on Wednesday. The delivery location was only a few miles away. I even told the woman on the phone I was a return customer and pleased with my experience the month before. They took my cell phone number "in case there was any problem"... The next day the family never received the basket. I found out at night when I called to express my sympathies and my regrets for being out of town and missing the services and I asked if they received the basket - which was embarrassing as then grieving family members went out in the rain to see if it was left outside! Andrew's was already closed for the day. I called first thing Thursday morning and asked why the basket was never delivered- I was told "we were short a driver and business orders come first so it wasn't delivered". I asked why I was not called (so I could have someone pick it up and deliver it for me or so I could decide if I wanted to cancel the order and send something else). The woman on the phone (Liz?) said she did not know why I did not receive a call. She said they would try to get it to the delivery location that day or the day after. Mind you, that day the family was at the funeral. I asked to speak to the owner and she said he would call me back. A half hour later I received a call back from the same woman (NOT THE OWNER). They said they would not charge me the $10.00 delivery charge and TRY to get it delivered that day (Thursday- a day late). I said this was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to the OWNER or cancel the order. I was put on hold for over five minutes and the owner returned to the phone. I said I felt it was completely their error. They knew the situation - I even had asked for "today" to be written on the card... I asked them to reduce the order price by more than the delivery charge, or I was cancelling the order because I did not want to do business with them. He said there was nothing he could do other than not charge me the $10.00 delivery because the basket was "almost at cost at $75.00" (so basically they make NO money except on delivery?). I told him to cancel the order and I would be ordering elsewhere. One week later (after I had sent something else to the family) I find out the Andrew's fruit basket was delivered also!? I check my VISA bill and find I was charged $85.00 (Full price of $75.00 basket PLUS the $10.00 delivery they were NOT going to charge me) for an order I actually CANCELLED! I am disputing the charge on VISA. I would NEVER do business with this company again. In a side note, when I inquired about the card which was delivered with the basket the recipient told me it just had our names on it with no message.
