I recently had a tree taken down by Almighty tree service and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The owner, Gabriel, was very cordial and the crew were very professional which is extremely hard to find in the Brunswick area. They laid down boards along the grass for the truck tires to protect grass. They had four men working so it only took a couple hours and we had a very tall, large tree. They cleaned up very nicely. I'd needed some branches cut on my 30+ year old trees and they seemed to have the equipment and manpower to do the job so I gave them a call for an estimate and I got a call back immediately. Needless to say, they did such a wonderful job. They were very responsible, reliable, and the price was very reasonable. Ian, the owner, is very nice, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He came with eight other workers, supervised and worked on-site to make sure the job was done fast and perfect and left everything very clean and organized just the way they found it. We used Almighty to trim two trees in our backyard. On the first meeting with Ian, when he came over to give me the quote, I had a bad feeling about the whole thing. Ian was very impatient to me and somewhat rude. That was the first time for me making such a tree work, so I had some questions, mainly around understanding which branches were going to go. Also, I'm not a native English speaker, so I wasn't familiar with some specific terms. Ian answered my questions in a very unpleasant way, making me feel like a fool for even daring to ask something. He insisted on not using a laser pointer to show exactly where they would make the cuts, and only explained everything verbally, using his finger to point from the ground, which is obviously not the best way to show the location of the cuts. Also, their quote was given verbally, without anything in writing. Despite my bad feeling, I decided to go with them, mainly because of their good reviews, and also thinking that this was only a tree trimming, so what can go wrong? On the day of the work, they started to cut, and of course, that was not what I was expecting. The guy who was managing the work didn't cut where I was expecting them to. When I asked him about it, he said that it didn't make sense to cut where I wanted to, but after further discussion, he changed his argument and said that he can cut where I needed, but that would cost more. At some point Ian arrived, and was rude enough to tell his guy that "It took me an hour to explain to him where we're gonna make the cuts", and by "him" he referred to me, that was standing 2 feet away from them, hearing the whole conversation. After further discussion with Ian, I agreed to pay an extra $100, to remove another small branch that I thought would have been removed. They also wanted few hundred bucks to cut some other branches that I was under the impression they would be removed, but at this point I just wanted them to finish up as soon as possible, and leave my property, so I didn't agree to pay more, and these branches ended up staying on the tree. Of course, this made me very upset, understanding that Ian's impatient and unprofessional approach, together with me not listening to the red lights that turned on during our first meeting, led to me not getting the work I was expecting to, and paying some more than the original price. As if all this wasn't enough, shortly after they left I've noticed a bending on a gutter that was close to where one of the trees they cut was. I remembered that during the work, we heard a loud noise of something hitting the outside wall of the house, just below that gutter. When I first heard the noise I ran outside, but didn't see any damage, but as mentioned, I noticed the bending only after they left. We paid $300 to fix the damage. I would definitely not use Almighty for any future tree work. I've also purchased a green laser pointer, and it works just great in pointing spots on high trees. I've also learned that other companies take a picture of the tree using a tablet, and then mark on the picture where exactly their going to make the cuts, and attach it to the written quote they hand the customer, to prevent misunderstandings. I'm not sure what happened between all their good reviews here, and the day they did the work for me, but I definitely do not recommend to use them. read more

I picked Almighty Tree Experts to remove our dead over 100 year old Ash tree. It as a difficult job because or driveway does not provide access to our backyard. They could not come in with crane. Ian, the owner, quoted a vert fair price. His expert climbers and team did an outstanding job. They were extremely hard workers and very efficient. The climbers were 80 ft highland they seemed to have wings. just amazing ! they cut the trunk down to ground level and did a very thorough clean up job. I got estimates from a number of companies to take down some trees and clean up/ remove shrubbery, bushes, debris, etc., and trim tree branches. I went with Almighty and I am very happy with my decision. They came when scheduled, even came the night before to do some preliminary work. They were at my house by 8am and done by noon. Big team of guys worked all morning- very efficient and nice guys. The yard looks great! They cleaned up very well too at the end! Almighty did a fantastic job trimming my trees with some very high branches to low branches as well as cutting down a small tree that was brushing up on the house. The most impressive part of the job was the lack of mess that was left behind. No sawdust, no wood chips, no debris, period. I was expecting to have to clean up after but nothing to clean up. I highly recommend this company for any tree removal service you need. We sent a request for a quote and received a reply within an hour. We were even able to set up a consult for the same day. We agreed on a very reasonable price to remove two dead/dying trees in our backyard. The time we agreed on was 8am the next day and by 8:05 they were well on their way to removing those trees.
