The line was never not long but it was something to do. The ride itself is about 15 minutes and takes you around the farm. We grabbed some popcorn before getting on it though. It's freshly popped and so delicious! We also go to visit the petting area and feed some of the goats, sheep, cows and rabbits. Our toddlers had a blast! Good family fun for the fall season. && I got a funnel cake before we left (topping choices powder sugar, Carmel, chocolate, and strawberry syrup). The wind made it colder on the pumpkin side of the farm and unfortunately they didn't have warm apple cider. I expected them to have something warm that kids could drink (non coffee). Tips: Bring a blanket for inside the wagon. Don't wear your nice shoes. Bring a tripod or stand for photos.

There are animals, there's beautiful scenery all around you, a gorgeous pond, bathrooms on site, honestly, all the people who work here are very welcoming and kind people. The country store is cute, there are little snacks inside for the family if anybody gets hungry. All in all, this place is solid FUN! There's no breaking the bank here...it's been affordable like this for years, and you can absolutely tell that the family in charge of the farm actually cares about their community and is doing this because they want to and love to, not for money purposes at all or to be in some weird competition with other fall festivals/pumpkin patches. I've shopped at their country store a few times for good, hard-to-find items & gifts- their goat milk soap is award-winning. Went to the 2024 fall festival to play & pick pumpkins. (Writing this ahead of our upcoming festival visit and hoping for the same unique tasty apple cider slushy.) Anyway, I don't remember doing much pumpkin-picking but what stood out was the vibe-- starting with a sweet hayride in from the parking lot, through a forest, & out to a larger festival zone. Most workers were happy to be there (& it shows). We felt welcome- even tho we were there at the last event wknd & towards the very end of a hot day. Ambiance: I like that we were allowed to look and linger, shoot hoops, all kinds of stuff. Just mellow fun. (I shot hoops 'against' a little kid there with her granny- won't tell you who won.) There are several places to take selfies and pictures, & just celebrate Fall. We don't have small kids (pumpkin picking here was more for them I feel) but we had a blast enjoying all that was available with basic admission. To sum up: Played games, shopped, & visited with animals- including attempted feeding of friendly baby turkeys- which was a little tough-- long story. Loved meeting the little pony named 'Flapjack'? (Note: it wasn't roller coaster rides or turbo-charged pumpkin cannons- but that's not what we expected or wanted.) Thry do have a pumpkin patch where you are able to select from small, medium and big pumpkins. They have a variety of free games such as cornhole, sack races, board games, jenga and petty zoo! They also offer a lot more variety games with ticket purchases but even if you just go and not purchase ticket, you will still have a great time. They also have bonfire sections where you are able to reserve and then come out and bring your own snacks, food and have a great TIME! We came to the pumpkin patch! They have a large parking lot and it was easy to find…read more It's a $3 fee for everyone above 2 years old and you need a reservation. Although, it was easy to make a reservation and there were a lot of time slots to choose from. This included seeing the animals (goats, pigs and bunnies), walking in the flower fields (a sunflower field and colorful flowers), the playground and taking photos. The playground really was not much and I think older kids would've gotten bored easily. For an extra fee, there is a corn pit to play in, a wagon ride and a train ride for kids. We did not do these. There wasn't a ton of places for photo ops, but there were some. They have a shop with goods for sale as well as some snacks and drinks like apple cider, slushies, apple cider donuts, alcohol, etc. We went the weekend after Halloween, so there weren't many pumpkins to see/choose from, but if we went earlier in the season I'm guessing there would have been. On the opposite side of the property, there was a Thai restaurant and a shop that served ice cream and alcohol. There were plenty of picnic tables and even a couple TV's showing football. This was a bit of a walk to get to, though. They also have pizza which you have to order ahead of time with your reservation if interested, but I've heard great things about the pizza. Keep in mind it is only porta johns, like many pumpkin patches. All in all, not my favorite pumpkin patch in the area, I questioned why we needed a reservation and to pay, it really didn't include much, but I'm wondering if we would've had a different experience if we went earlier in the season.

I prefer the white pumpkins. What about you?  The apples are DELICIOUS! We like the Magnum Bonum. The owners say it's great for baking. We like the taste. The Honey Crisp apples are huge!  They have pumpkin butter, candy, and peanuts.  FOOD TRUCKS: They have food trucks on the property which makes for a great day trip to Winston-Salem!   Here are two that we recommend:    Papa Bears Coffee-n-Donuts, the owner makes his own pumpkin icing to go over his donuts! They are on Facebook.  Graffiti Grub had her grand opening today at Hawks! She has iced hot chocolate! Coffee and treats. She will be selling candied apples and the apples come from Hawks. She doesn't have social media yet, but I hope you will stop by and support local.   I saw an Ice Cream truck setting up but didn't get the name.  Other unique features: Grab a red wagon and fill it up with pumpkins and apples, or take your kids for a ride around the patch.   Lots of photo props and opportunities, but if you're a professional photographer please check in with the owners.  Fun for the whole family!!

There are plenty of pre-cut pumpkins too if you'd rather just pick one that way (and take some cute pics). The wood-fired pizza was SO good and fairly priced. We really enjoyed the salsiccia pie, but all of them sounded delicious. And had to get a half dozen cider donuts for the road, obviously. I absolutely love this set up even more than the last location! There is so much for kids to do here and lots for adults too. We picked our pumpkins for the season and considering the amount of people here, there were still many great looking pumpkins. The lines were too long for the donuts/food so I didn't get to try any but I am hoping to eventually try the cider donut in the future!
