Unsanitary. Entered into the bathroom to find urine on the bathroom floor 6/6/26.
    Erica G.

The place seems to be new and updated, but the bathroom was not clean. I didn't call management, because by the time I noticed, it was late evening (the first time I needed to use the restroom.) there was urine on the floor. I was sick to my stomach, I stepped in someone else's urine. Smaller complaints, the bed was made with the wrong sheet size, I tried to fix it many times, it was the wrong size. And the woman working the front desk made a snarky comment, when I asked if the bar was open, apparently the bartender didn't make it in, she said, "we're not open, but if you need to get CHEAP drinks, go to Applebees."

This is a view of the pool from my room.

I love this spot. The value for the price is spot on. I refuse to stay in Santa Cruz because of the low quality of the hotels. I will stay here and then drive over or visit and then stay here. I love the qualifying of the bakeries and Asian fusion restaurants in the surrounding community.

Run, don't walk away from this property as quickly as you can! My recent stay was the worst Marriott stay I've had in probably a decade. My first room had an ant infestation that got all into my toiletries. After some back and forth with the front desk, I was finally able to get them to move me to another room which was not the same room type I had booked but beggars can't be choosers I suppose. The general state of the new room was equally unclean. The sheets had tears and stains on them, which was extremely concerning from a cleanliness stand point and many things in the room were falling apart or broken. I will not be staying at this property again.

Check in was fantastic tonight. Gentleman up front was swift, quick, and the room was spacious. Carpet wasn't wet in this room. Much appreciated! A little bummed bar was closed.

This property was disappointing. I've stayed at Aloft hotels around the country (including this one - but that was in 2022), and by far this was the worst Aloft room I've stayed in. I booked this hotel as my previous experiences at other locations has been positive. The current stay: the room was generally clean, parking was easy, and there was complimentary water in the room. Moving on to the negatives: the room is excessively dim. The only lighting beyond the entry and bathroom area is one desk lamp and the bed backlighting. Maybe there was a floor lamp at some point? I could open the blinds but there are no shades for privacy. The bathroom trash can liner didn't fit the receptacle, which is unpleasant for the cleaning staff and annoying for guests. The hotel guest wifi didn't work (on the 2nd floor), though reception kindly let me use a different network. Wifi access should be fixed considering the location of this hotel is likely to mean a fair amount of business travel clientele. The TV: DIRECTV only, poor resolution, no option to cast or sign into streaming services. The kicker - pun intended - is an inconveniently installed doorstop that I have managed to trip over and hit my toes on. It's small enough to go without notice until your toes fall victim. The top of it is loose and falls off when knocked into and the edges are *not smooth*. Ask me how I know.

We chose the Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino for its proximity to the 280, and were pleasantly surprised to see it was centrally located in Main Street Cupertino (restaurants and dessert shops galore). Karen at the front desk was very welcoming, and upon learning we were on our honeymoon, sent up a surprise gift with a lovely hand written note. Our Studio 1 King, Sofa bed room was clean and spacious, and immediately earned our Poodle approval. Odd number rooms face the Main Street area, whereas even number rooms face the parking lot (something to keep in mind during check in). The true highlight was the restaurant's free breakfast, with a plethora of traditional breakfast options and additional items such as organic chocolate milk, fresh roasted potatoes, and various nuts. A few extra highlights included: late checkout of 1pm, pet relief area, and an expansive patio area which had plenty of couches, a fireplace, and tables. Overnight parking is at a nearby parking garage (free). Highly recommend the Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino for a clean, centrally located stay with an excellent complimentary breakfast buffet.

The location is fantastic, the price is excellent for everything you get, and the hotel is always spotless. The staff is wonderful, especially Tim. His bubbly personality and warm welcome are exactly what you want after a long day. This is our second time seeing him, and the fact that I remembered him says a lot about the impression he makes. Great hospitality like that keeps guests coming back. This stay we're in corner room 901 on the 9th floor, and I absolutely love it. It's incredibly spacious with beautiful views, and as always, the bed is so comfortable. I also really like that the living area is separated from the bedroom around the corner it makes the suite feel even larger. There's a large desk with plenty of room to work, plus convenient amenities like a microwave, mini fridge, and robes. Every stay here has been consistently excellent, and Juniper continues to be one of my favorite places to stay in the area. I always look forward to coming back.

They called right away like he said, but then he just let the phone ring and kept them on hold for over 15 minutes. I get that he had other people at the desk, but he's the one who told us to call in the first place. Felt like he was just ignoring it while the person on the other end was stuck waiting. Everything got fixed in like 30 seconds once another staff member stepped in and actually picked up the call. That second person was quick and actually helpful.

Cupertino Hotel - Once again lots of police presence. I believe this happens every weekend. Wouldn't the hotel do a better job screening people staying here?

Upon arrival, I walked into the lobby for check in and was met with an aggressive man shouting at hotel staff about needing a ride. The staff member ignored most of his requests making matters worse and making me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. My room was located on the second floor overlooking the parking lot. The floor had dirt on it and a dead bug. I was concerned about bed bugs and chose to limit my contact with the bed, other than to sleep. The sheets appeared clean, but little things were missed: dust, dirt, fingerprints, watermarks. For the cost of the room and the reviews, I expected much more. I did not use the pool, nor the hot tub. No gym on premises. The continental breakfast was tasty, but no one was checking to see if anything needed refilling. By the time I came down for breakfast, there was only about 1/2 scoop of scrambled eggs. At least 5 guests arrived after me and did not have any eggs. Someone complained to the person working the lobby and food was finally replenished and tables were finally cleaned. I felt this needed more supervision. The elevator has not been inspected in years per the signage posted. A temporary permit was granted through August 2025, but had lapsed by my May 2026 visit. The hotel is closely located near a grocery store, several restaurants within driving distance, and a highway. Overall, this hotel isn't worth the money they are charging. Safety and convenience are important to me, and convenience was the only real positive.
