Hotels can be hit and miss if you've never been to any particular one but I chose this place for reasonable cost and location to where I needed to be during my stay. Small lobby, friendly staff and nice rooms. My room was clean and had no issues with it. Some people can be very picky but I felt my accommodations were good. They serve a full complimentary breakfast each morning which was pretty good with the usual food options for hot food, waffles, juices, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, etc. The only problem I experienced was the TV is easily heard from the room next to me. Maybe other rooms don't have this issue. The other problem is when people walk down the hall of the second floor it can be loud. Maybe they walked heavy footsteps, I don't know. I called in advance to confirm there was an airport shuttle for this hotel. When I arrived and checked in I also asked to schedule the airport shuttle at 5 am for my early flight. When I got downstairs 5 am the clerk (diff than the night before) informed me there was no shuttle and she could call a taxi to arrive in 15 min but I would pay for it myself. I'll be filing a corporate complaint For the record the room SMELLED. Like old garbage. Appeared clean but smelled. I knew I was leaving early didn't make waves. Was here for the night. Nothing special, it is in a tough spot--near the busy street. But it was close to my destination and was the next decent place without breaking the bank. Cleanliness though isn't thorough. Found someone's left behind fake lashes in the shower. Carpet needs upgrading. Overall, for a 1 nighter to rest-and-go...not too shabby of a place. read more

Not bad! A little expensive but I mean, things are just going up you can't stop it. But for the price it's not bad. Spent 2 nights for $226. Saturdays are always More pricey than Sunday through Thursday. Super nice check in and check out. I was able to get in 2 hours early. They serve a very minimal breakfast. Make your own waffles, bottled scrambled eggs, tator tots, sausage Patty's. They also have yogurt, bread/English muffin/bagels, oatmeal packets. Very minimal but it's good enough for an affordable place in my opinion. Hot water and coffee are 24 hours as well. I stayed at this place from July 14th to July 17th, 2023, for a total of three nights. The staff at the front office were very friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. The hotel's location is generally good, although there can be some traffic congestion. When leaving the hotel, there is only a right turn option available, and the traffic light changes quickly. If you want to make a U-turn, you'll need some luck or no traffic coming from your left side. The hallways are well-maintained, with new carpets and pleasing wall colors. The rooms are spacious enough, featuring two queen-size beds. The water pressure in the shower is satisfactory. The check-in and check-out process was hassle-free. They offer a regular continental breakfast, and parking is available free of charge. read more

I haven't actually stayed at the hotel yet so I will update once I do, but I stopped by ahead of my stay to check out the location and take a look at a room to make sure I would feel comfortable staying there. When I entered the lobby I was greeted by Celestina - who I later found out was the general manager. She was very friendly and welcoming. When I informed her that I just wanted to take a look at a room she said "of course" with a smile and then proceeded to escorted us up to an empty room on the 3rd floor. She chatted with us about the hotel and gave us some tips on which rooms to ask for if we happened to be light sleepers (away from the road). She showed us a room with a single king bed, which is what we asked to see, but then offered to show us a room with 2 beds as well. The hotel was quiet and everything appeared very clean and tidy. We were very impressed with the hotel and with the courtesy and professionalism of Celestina. I am looking forward to my stay. read more

Have been staying at this location while finishing up moving out of my house. The cost was competitive and the room itself is nice. My first problem was the bathroom. The shower curtain rod was not affixed to the wall. After having it put back up I attempted to take a shower. No hot water. I ran water for a full ten minutes. I ended up warming water in a bowl and taking a bird bath. This was annoying but I was still feeling really good about my stay. Then this afternoon happened. My room key stopped working for the fourth time. I went to the desk to get a replacement and was instead accosted with reasons why I was demagnetizing the card. Which sent me from 0-10 because I was carrying the key in my bra! The key had no opportunity to get demagnetized by me. However this didn't stop the idiotic person at the front desk from giving me a lecture and then telling me "perhaps I'm not understanding" her! No. Perhaps you should just give me a key to my room and shut your mouth. So irritating. I will be calling corporate as she kindly told me I could. I will also tell everyone within the sound of my voice to never patronize your business. read more

We mentioned we'd be leaving early in the morning and she gave us breakfast food to make sure we had something to eat before our early flight. She chatted with us and made my friend who I was staying with and going through a rough time feel better. With the current company that I work for, we only are allowed to choose certain hotels in our Concur system. Quality Inn is one that seems to always pop up. I've stayed at three different ones in the past 3 months and this one was the best by far. It was clean and the staff was great. One thing that was the same was the breakfast selections (free). Initially stayed over at the hotel on May 8th, 2022 but only recently had time to write a review. We checked in the late afternoon and when arriving at the front desk we were greeted by an absolutely amazing receptionist, Jacky. She was very energetic and immensely caring. She gave us a great quick walkaround of the hotel and was determined to provide us with excellent service; in which she did! When it comes to issues with the hotel, my main complaints are simply about the cleanliness of the room. When walking into the room there was a sizeable reddish/pinkish stain on the carpet, possibly from a soda or juice. After misplacing an item we lifted the bed to see if it rolled under only to find the right corner of the bed was stained horrendously. Besides that, the room itself was comfortable and the service provided by Jacky was phenomenal!!! read more

BEWARE: when booking on quailtyinnsanjose.com, it redirects you to choicehotels.com to finalize your booking. That is where it advertises a nonexistent pool. Owner denies that their website offers and advertises a pool to its customers. Pictures are below. Before I booked a reservation on the phone with Pedro, I made sure to ask him two things: if it would be okay if I wasn't there to check in for my brother (I was at work) and if I needed to pay a deposit fee. He assured me that as long as the reservation was in his name and I paid for the booking on the phone with him, my brother would have no issues checking in without me and that they do not take deposits here. When he got there, he was informed by the front desk receptionist, Cessalina, that he wouldn't be able to check in without me since the card was under my name. This was exactly what I was trying to avoid. She said it didn't matter what I was told on the phone, she wouldn't be able to help him until I got off work that night and came to the inn myself. He asked if there was any way at all to bypass this and she told him to book online with his name on the reservation. I was told that after I book online, she would cancel my other reservation as a "courtesy" and reminded me that the policy is no refunds or cancellations. I guess when I gave my card information to Pedro, it wasn't charged, there was just a hold for the amount of the room. So I booked another room for him but this time online, and when my brother showed her the confirmation of the booking she said that I had did it wrong and that I was supposed to book on Expedia. She went on to say that I will now be charged twice because I didn't book on Expedia and there are no refunds/cancellations. The fishy thing was that I booked directly on Quality Inn's website and she not once mentioned Expedia... I was definitely mislead by her. And I didn't understand why she was so adamant that I book on a third party website. Fishy. After going back and forth with her for about an hour, my brother finally convinced her to cancel one booking. When I finally got off work, I rushed to help my brother check in, as I was walking to the front desk, I realized nobody was there. I was waiting for 10 minutes and ringing the bell. After ten minutes, a different lady came out of a room, and was helping me check in. When it came time to give her my card to pay (again), she explained to me that since my card didn't have a chip, I wouldn't be able to use it here!! What kind of place doesn't accept a regular card just because it doesn't have a chip.... Just my luck, it happened to be the only card I had on me. She said I could pay in cash but I would have to pay a $150 deposit if I used cash as a payment. It really seems to me that employees here are not on the same page and this place is highly unprofessional and unorganized. It is very unlikely I will be booking here again. For $180 a night, this place is a joke. The rooms are extremely small and the employees are all over the place. Do yourself a favor and book literally ANYWHERE else. I'm so disappointed in their customer service. read more

Duc and I came up to the San Jose area for his birthday weekend and wanted to snag a fairly good deal on accommodations so we could spend more of it on food, bahahah. We came across Quality Inn after searching online and were able to get a decent rate. They provide free shuttles to and from the airport and were even kind enough to shuttle him back to the airport to pick up our rental car the morning after we arrived (we came in late and the rental place was closed!). Check in was quick and easy with plenty of information provided. The front desk has a basket of fresh fruit every day that you can grab a snack from too. The room ended up being smaller than we had thought it would be from the pictures but it didn't make too much of a difference. We were disappointed that we got a room that was connected to another by a door because inevitably, we could hear each other through the crevices. However, the place was mainly just somewhere to sleep as we were out all day. The room had a microwave and large mini-fridge which were convenient. Everything was clean, and in the mornings, there was breakfast provided which also had sausage and a wafflemaker! It wasn't just a cheapy continental. We enjoyed our stay considering its central location. We even managed to get on the wi-fi easily and were able to stream videos off of it (strong enough connection). I'll keep it in mind for our next visit to the area. read more

The hotel room I got was clean, had intuitive AC controls, and a spacious bathroom shower combo. Both checking in and out was smooth and I simply don't have any complaints. This isn't the worst place I've ever stayed but it wasn't the most comfortable either. The bed was hard; it was like sleeping on a cot. The breakfast was not that good I ended up eating breakfast elsewhere almost every morning. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is adequate and convenient. Access getting to the hotel is rather unpleasant in every way, U-turns are required on a very very busy road with horrific traffic light times. Hotel shows evidence of age or heavy wear, but it is kept clean and repaired. The price was on the low side compared to the area and it is close to the Great Mall if that's a thing for you. I had a room with a kitchenette, but no dishes so not so useful. The room had a smell, like mildew but not really mildew. The room felt damp for the first 3 days and I don't know what that was about. There was a safety pin on the carpet that I could have gotten stabbed with, had I not noticed it. The window was unlocked and I am on the ground level, so be sure you check that. The strangest part of the room is the missing 2 section sofa or any semblance of a comfortable chair and a big open space between the pillow and the television (full 20 feet). Overall, a descent stay, but no comfortable seating and the garbage traffic make me want to try a different hotel next time I am in town. read more

The hotel sent a driver at night to pick us up from the airport the driver barely said two words look like we woke him up. We got to the hotel at 1 AM went to sleep got up in the morning the breakfast was OK English muffins were stale. My husband use the shuttle to go get a rental car and due to an issue with the rental car company I had to go down to join them with my child and six bags. The quality Inn first desk lady said Sorry you can only get it one way each way. So now myself a child and six bags had to call Uber to get to the airport. The room was OK the blow dryer worked for a minute and then died everything else was OK. As a frequent user of choice hotels I don't know that this would be my choice next time. read more

Lets start with the key card; I've had to get a new key card 9 different times because they stopped working. None of the vending machines work, the front desk staff looks like they hate their jobs (and barely pay attention to who is walking into the lobby in the middle of the night, the beds are uncomfortable, the toilet seat slides all over the place, and the main road noise is very loud. For almost $200 a night, we should not have had so many issues. read more

I love this hotel! Every time I come to San Jose I come here and get the same room lol its the jacuzzi in the room! There is only 2 in the whole hotel so you have to book it in advance but its defiantly worth it! I love it and you cant beat 100 dollars a night. I like that I can use my AAA card for a discount! For a quick over night stay, this place good was enough. The room and bathroom were clean. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The bathroom was spacious and there were plenty of towels. The beds were comfortable too. The location was convenient, not too far from downtown and other areas. Hotel was comfortable - helpful staff - overall excellent cleanliness. The room was good, quiet, clean - the sink area is outside the bathroom, this made the sink/mirror area small but functional. Shower was good, beds weren't bad at all. However, bring your own pillow. The hotel pillows are about the size of couch throw pillows . The only bad I found was that the smoking rooms are on the 1st floor. I had a non smoking room in the 2nd floor - went to dinner, came back and my bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke :(. This tells me cross ventilation filtering isn't too good. I turned on the bathroom ceiling fan/vent and kept it on all night (made for good white noise) and the smell went away within 5-10 mins. I was hoping for a nice stay in Silicon Valley. Not the case!! :( I paid $160 for a room here and the WI Fi didn't work at all!!!! There was no pool!! Rooms are plain. I could have stayed at Hampton for $10 more and had a nice room. I stay in hotels over half the year and this is almost the worst Quality Inn I've ever stayed at for way more money than usual. You'd think, for $160 you'd get a pool for 105 degree weather. Or except Wi Fi!!! Days Inns have better Wi Fi and accommodations for less than half the price.
