This is a dangerous hotel. I left the hotel to grab dinner. In the parking lot, realizing I left my reading material in the room, I went back up to my room. Imagine my surprise when I tried to open the door, only to have it repeatedly pushed back on me. I called 911 and stood outside the door so that the person inside could hear me calling the police. I waited for 15 to 20 minutes in front of the door, for the Frisco police to arrive. Then the door opened and it was the front desk manager. As can be seen, I had my do not disturb sign on the door. I filed a report and the police took him away. They offered me to stay at another Aloft, owned by the same franchisee. I packed my bags and left the hotel. I travel about 25% of the year and stay at Marriott's. I never had something like this happen to me before. Don't stay here! read more

Stayed here for a night while working an event at the Cowboys Practice Facility. Clean, comfortable, and quiet room, ample surface parking, and it looked to be close to plenty of restaurants and the Frisco Convention Center. Would stay again if in the area. read more

I would not recommend staying at Aloft Frisco, and I won't be returning. We booked through Hotwire on a whim, so we understand there's some unpredictability with what you get. However, I'm genuinely confused as to why this hotel is categorized as a boutique hotel. Maybe it once was, but it no longer meets that standard and should really be reevaluated. Thankfully, due to the no-refund policy, we had only booked for one night. The one positive aspect of our stay was the young gentleman who checked us in. He was very kind and helpful, even when we later requested extra bedding. It seemed like he was working alone--later we saw him eating near the front desk, likely on a quick break--which made his professionalism even more appreciated. Before our stay, I tried to find more photos online, but noticed the hotel's social media and other listings mostly featured generic city and event photos rather than actual images of the rooms or property. That was a red flag, and unfortunately, it was confirmed upon arrival. When we entered the room, we were immediately greeted by a loud humming noise (possibly from the A/C unit). There was also an odd smell--not necessarily mold, but definitely unpleasant. Many hotels have a clean, fresh scent throughout the building, and this one did not. Our room overlooked the pool area-The lounge cushions by the pool were extremely worn and in clear need of replacement. Again, won't return or recommend. The positive is the location - so much near by but that also means there are many other hotels as well. read more

Not really impressed by my recent stay at this hotel. First of all, they have very poor cleaning standards. I found some hair from previous guests in the bathroom and the desk had fingerprints and stains all over it. Someone left a comforter on the hallway and it was still there after almost a day. The breakfast was very underwhelming, overpriced and flavorless. The front desk was helpful and eager to help and they are the only reason I gave an extra star to this review. read more

Aloft Hotels by Marriott started in 2008 as a way to appeal to Millennials who are tech-savvy and don't want to play a lot for a place to stay. They have a kind of generic design, and the price is reasonable. But the one in Frisco, north of Dallas, seems almost stuck in the late '00s. It needs some work. The first room I checked into had an AC that was barely cooling. The room phone, which I tried to use to call the front desk to request a different room, wasn't charged and didn't seem to be working. I finally called the main number on my cell, got through to the front desk, and requested a new room. I had opted to use my phone as a mobile key to unlock the door. I figured they'd be able to switch my mobile key to a different room, and the front desk person thought so, too, but I wound up having to come down in person. This despite the fact that my new room was across the hall from the old one. (Side note: You can use your phone as a key, but you can't pay with Apple or Google Pay. What?) The new room had its own problems. The power outlets next to the bed were glitchy - My phone and Apple Watch kept dropping in and out of charging. Another plug in the room was dead. There are USB ports at the bed and at the desk, but they are the older USB-A type - most modern phones now use USB-C connections. Time to upgrade, Aloft! I wanted to stream some Netflix or Showtime, which was supposedly available, but I got an "internet connection not available" on the Samsung TV mounted on the wall. Also, the WiFi was slow, maxing out at about 9 Mbps down, with no option that I could find to pay for faster service. Finally, it appeared that this location's front-desk computers run on Windows 7 - an out-of-date, non-supported OS. Very 2008, and also not very secure! Generally, the stay was ... OK. Bed comfortable, room clean, staff friendly. But at this point, the Aloft Frisco needs a refurbishing and a facelift. read more

There was no room at the Inn (the Hampton Inn) so I had to stay in the Loft.. Aloft. This is a great location... quite a bit cheaper then the Inn and the Inn is under construction! Great location, fresh style, big bed, nice room, great service and a hip look. Plus there is a full bar in the hotel! I had a great nights stay here. My room didn't smell like pain fumes... the place wasn't torn up... and the staff was great! When I come this way again... I will look to stay at Aloft again. read more

The staff here is amazing, especially Javier and Patty. The property has its flaws though. When we arrived in our rooms both were very dirty. Fingerprints on the bathroom mirrors, trash on the floor, hair on the bath towels. Went to workout in the morning and the towels weren't stocked. read more

By far, one of the best extended stays that I have ever had at a hotel. I've never stayed at an Aloft Hotel before and let me just say that I was blown away by the service. I was in Dallas, TX for a couple of weeks for work and Aloft made my stay very comfortable. The front desk receptionists were all very friendly and welcoming. There were times where I was wanting to purchase some travel items and as expected there was a few minutes of wait because people needed to check-in for their reservations, because I had to wait when it came to pay for my items the receptionist comp'd my items. They didn't have to do that! So nice. The rooms are very modern with a flare that will appeal most to the younger crowd. The beds were comfy with an abundance of pillows to cuddle with. The bathroom was very clean, with a walk-in shower and a floor to seeing window looking into the bedroom.. HOT. SEXY. FUUUUUU.. ;) All the bath products were 'Bliss' branded and left your body smelling so so good and skin left silky smooth and soft. There is a fridge setup under the bathroom sink, if you plan to use it make sure it is plugged in when you arrive otherwise you will have to wait for it to cool. Ironing boards and an iron are provided along with a dirty laundry bag. Full bar service is available on the main lobby floor. Swimming pool is also there for use but no whirlpool/Jacuzzi sadly. There is no room service available however in the mornings there is a breakfast bar with light snacks available for purchase. After my experience at the Aloft, I'll definitely consider them as a new option when traveling. read more

I was not really impressed with the experience at this Aloft location... - there was supposed to be netflix / HBO Go channels for use...but we couldnt connect for some reason and couldnt find anyone to help - one of our blankets had a brown splash stain...honestly it looked like makeup at first but later looked like a blood or shit stain... There was no cleaning crew around 1:00am to take the blanket...and front desk made me bring it down to them Thankfully though, the room and bathroom were clean But it still felt like the air was dirty or something...hard to put a finger on it Overall dont plan on staying here again read more

For a hotel chain that has based its reputation on allowing dogs, the Frisco location was very disappointing. We booked a room but had 2 dogs. They charged us an additional $75.00 for the 2nd dog. No refund if the room is left clean and not damaged. Our second dog weighs 8 Lbs. I checked a site that helps find dog friendly hotels and they said that the Aloft policy on multiple dogs is decided by each property. Clearly the owner of this franchise is not a dog lover. read more

We stayed here with the UCLA baseball family and team and we have nothing but good thing to say about this place. Patty the receptionist was very helpful the whole time we stayed here. Thanks Patty for making our stay more enjoyable to be here. Beautiful hotel and great location near many shopping area within walking distance to eat and shop. And they also offer free shuttle service to get to places so we don't need to drive our rental car since we're not familiar with the area. The only negative thing that we were bummed about was the jacuzzi was closed, they said because it's winter time. What a bummer. So I've visited this hotel more than once, I have always booked through Priceline and come to check in. Upon arrival I get here and proceed with paying the $50 incidental deposit and swipe my card. The price doesn't show on the monitor so I assume it's only $50. I get to my room and it's charged me $185 which is more than my room. I asked them about it and they tell me it's a system glitch and that I have to wait 3-5 business days for it to release, if not contact my bank. I don't know about you but $135 just gone for a few days is not cool to me. I feel as though the manager did nothing to fix their mistake and I'm being inconvenienced and not compensated for it..but besides that I usual enjoy it here :/ read more

Housekeeping needs improvements communication barrier between housekeeping and guest there very unprofessional and they do not knock before entering horrible experience. GREAT place to stay for this area. First, Alofts have a totally modern design anywhere in the country, and they are all really cool. Features a colorful lobby, a little cafe, goodies to pick from, a fun and lively bar, pool tables, casual places to sit, and a small swimming pool outside. The rooms are very cool, too. Low beds, low sinks, lots of swedish-style nifty things that maximize the space. It's nestled with several other hotels, but just a block away from a great mall, department stores, and a plethora of restaurants, and in addition, near a minor league baseball stadium (which I'd love to attend one day!) -- and easy to get to/from, just a block or two off the 121 freeway. Parking can be a little challenging, especially late at night, but keep searching and you'll find a space in the back. I've stayed here multiple times, and when I am in the area again -- there is no hesitation, I wouldn't consider anywhere else! read more

Don't do it. At first glance in a hurry to drop off our stuff and leave to meet up with family the room seemed clean. Once we got back tired and ready to settle in and start looking around we find contacts and other unknown yuck in the shower, dirty tile, dirty toilet, dusty everything and wait for it... POOP, yes POOP on the walls and door in the bathroom. We aren't from here or familiar to the area and the best they can do this late is move us to a different room, not the same type of room (smaller). read more

Very nice, clean and modern hotel. There is a lot of charging ports and the room has great lighting. I would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to anybody needing hotel in this area. It's conveniently located the check in process was great the helpfulness of the staff was great the rooms were very clean and tidy. Love then the shower has a little hook for our loofahs. Lobby is open has a pool table happy hour at the drink bar variety of fruits and good stuff you can buy. Quality of shampoo conditioner as walls lotions that were provided are all great. Again I would recommend this to anybody who needs a hotel. Only thing missing is a vent in the shower room. read more

I have never been more impressed by customer service at a hotel- people tend to forget the other is human, not here. They have made a client for life out of me and I am so lucky that I was staying with them. Victor and his team are absolutely the best and you can tell that they take their jobs seriously. I got horrible food poisoning one of the nights I was here and needed to go to urgent care once it had settled down. I had an uber deny me and Victor grabbed the keys to the van and took me himself, helping me with my bags every step of the way. He sent me a personal email checking on me following. I needed to stay another night because of everything and he set up everything and had left waters for me. I am so thankful for everything this group did- especially because if you've ever gotten sick away from home, you know how awful it is. If I could give them 10 stars I would. It's also very clean and modern, close to all of the large companies in this area. read more

I've enjoyed my stays at other Aloft hotels, but this one doesn't measure up. Overall conditions are somewhat worn. Needs new carpet and paint. The lobby area is smaller and on the cramped side. The only amenity is one pool table, which is so slanted that it's hard to use. The registration desk is so close to the door that you can't get in if there's a line to check in. Breakfast is a mess. They don't put out a buffet, but also don't have a restaurant. You can buy several hot items, but there's only a small kitchen with one person cooking, so it can take 20 minutes to get something simple like oatmeal. I was so disappointed that I checked out a day early, and cancelled a 10-day reservation I'd already made for a couple of weeks later. The future reservation was prepaid, and the hotel was nice enough to refund all but one day of it. If you're a Marriott person, there's a nice Springhill Suites less than two miles away. That's where I'll be staying in the future. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The front desk was very rude, not helpful or accommodating in any way. The room was dirty. The bedding was stained, had unknown hairs through the betting/pillows, and there were unsourced brown crumbs on the fitted sheets. The shower was also broken. I've heard great things about this hotel in other locations but this location was not good. read more

My best friend and I decided to have a girls' staycation. We looked at a couple of hotels in Frisco and decided on Aloft. (We both work up north so thought this would be a good option: Check in after leaving work on Friday and hang out for the weekend.) It's a new concept by Starwood Hotels. Kind of like the "W"...only wayyy cheaper. Bliss Spa products are provided in the rooms for all of your skincare/bodycare needs. This is a pretty cool little hotel. Yes the "Aloha" greeting that you get at the front desk is a little odd, but so what. I can handle it. The staff is really accommodating and efficient. They even let us have a late checkout! Aloft has fruit infused H2O 24/7 in the lobby for your thirst-quenching enjoyment, a bar that stays open until 1am on the weekends, a 24 hour "grab and go" cafe and Eddie, the shuttle driver, who will take you where you need to go in the area. GREATNESS! So after checking in, off we went with Eddie chauffeuring us to and fro dinner. Then back to the hotel for a nightcap, followed by a raid of the cafe as we grabbed a big glass of orange flavored aqua in route to our room. In the AM I called to see if they would drop off an extra set of Bliss lotion and face wash that was provided and they happy obliged. In fact, not only were they quick, but they generously brought TWO sets. I see another staycation at Aloft in my near future. It's my kinda place. read more

As a frequent traveler with platinum starwood status I am giving 5 stars to a brand new starwood property which hasn't completely ironed out all the kinks yet. This might seem a little strange, but there are several reasons. I really like the format, they've got sparse, modern, space saving rooms; something like regus office meets room at the standard meets high end hostel, no drawers to leave stuff behind it, open closets, but plenty of shelves for bags and unpacking. No room service, but a little lobby convenience store with good eats and an in room fridge. Also, the front desk people will have recommendations on delivery food ( for this property you've got diningin.com, and a few pizza places). They've got a great box to hookup your pc, ipod, etc to display on the TV, as well as enough outlets on the desk. The lounge around the bar has tons of seating, a fireplace, board games, and free wifi throughout of course. The selection of magazines also seems pretty targeted at me with wired, dwell, and spin; all that was missing is adbusters or cmyk. By far, the biggest reason I like this place is the service. from the moment we got here the people were helpful. The general manager Chris introduced himself to us and when he told us to ask him for anything we needed I believed him. He also stood and talked to us for a few minutes when I "let it slip that I was platinum" When we got to our room there was a bag of the fancy M&Ms that actually matched the decor. The next morning when the wife's car was iced in they helped us crack the doors open and de-ice the windshield and windows with buckets of water (slowly to avoid cracking the glass). Of course the aloft isn't for everyone. The soap and shampoo are in dispensers in the shower. There's no dresser, unusual closets, etc, but for the way I travel this place is perfect for me. Despite the rooms being small they're more usable for me than most because of the intelligent layout. I think if I'm in the plano/frisco area for work again I'll have to stay at this property. read more

Funny, this place gets a better Yelp rating than the Plano property. We stayed at the Aloft in Plano a couple of months ago and were very happy. The one in Frisco is a little closer to our new office so we thought we would stay here for a few days instead. Mistake. Although the rooms are identical to those in Plano, the level of service is not even close. We should have had a clue when we looked at the towel that goes on the floor in front of the shower. Most folks would have relegated a towel in this ragged condition to garage service. Not a huge item to get excited about but a harbinger of the quality of service to come. The day after our first night we got maid service. However, there was no coffee or plastic cups left. Again, not a big deal but things were going down hill. Next day. No coffee, so I went down stairs. The cappuccino machine was not working. So, no coffee to start the day and to further punish us there would be no maid service at all. At 4:30 our room and not been cleaned. My wife was able to chase down a maid and grab a couple of clean towels. Next day we left at 9 AM and called the person at the desk to remind her that we did not have maid service the day before and we wanted to make sure it was taken care of today before we returned at 4 PM. No luck. We got back in the room and it had not been serviced. I was frustrated and went down to the desk. There are no real managers on duty and I felt sorry for the gal at the desk. She was not the same person we had spoken to about getting some maid service. She was very apologetic for the lack of service and REALLY wanted to solve our problem. She DID arrange to find a maid to send to our room at 4:40.She offered us another room that was clean but we did not want to pack and move all of our stuff. Thank you for trying to help, your coworkers let you down! If your owners read this, they should give you a raise, make you the manager and change the current management. While we waited in the lobby for our room to be cleaned and as I am writing this, I my a trip to the mens's room in the lobby. Mistake!! Big turds in the toilet! Similar problem earlier this morning. Seems this place has a shortage of maintenance staff. I am in the process of moving several of my staff from CA to Frisco, TX. I thought the Aloft would be an excellent place to house them as we located permanent homes. Definitely changing that plan. Imagine a hipster on a bad acid trip designing a hotel. Then imagine staffing it with people who aren't trained and leaving the rooms uncleaned. Now you've created the Frisco Aloft hotel. Lobby: The lobby is concept appropriate. Something like an upscale ski house with bad music playing too loud. There is no respite from this, it's even loader in the painfully slow elevators. They offer free coffee in the morning but when we went to get some we were told they had no lids! Really? How do you let that happen? Staff: 50/50 for the staff. At the front desk they smile a lot and have a good attitude but when there is a problem (more on this below) they are untrained. The supervisor was friendly. The are no managers, at least that's what i was told by the front desk. Housekeeping is nonexistent. Rooms: An austere room with an IKEA mattress would be talking it up. Someone called it W light, but W is already lite! No drawers, no closets, just a wall of shelves built against the back of the bathroom. I thought there was no iron and board, but turns out it was hidden behind the bed in a small cove that I only found because something dropped off the small plank of wood they use as a nightstand. The toilet has a sliding door providing minimal privacy. But what's worse is the shower. The hotel add calls it a falling rain shower head. I believe that's code for no water pressure. I felt like I was at my gym because instead of bars of soap there are dispensers bolted on the wall. I'm uncertain if it was the quality of the soap, or the hardness of the water, but no matter how much I rinsed I still felt residue. In an effort to be chic, they put a pane of frosted glass between the shower, which is in the tiny toilet cubby, and the bedroom. I guess never thought about the fact that if you use the toilet at night you will wake up your GF/BF with the glaring light coming through it. They do provide free internet but severely throttled. I used speed test and it never climbed above 1.8 MBPS. My cell service was faster. I would happily have paid for the option of more bandwidth. There is a nice size flat screen tv that, no matter what you do, always defaults back to the hotel services menu. That might be tolerable if it wasn't constantly pushing to sell the Adult channel. My romance is fine ALOFT, don't need your help there. Furthering the minimalist concept, I believe the walls are made of paper mâché. The room next door got frisky and I was treated to YES. YES. YES for a while during the night. One benefit, we are competitive so answered back with our own version. Maybe that's a feature? Housekeeping: This is where the one star really comes in. They don't clean the rooms. We broke a glass the first morning there. We cleaned up as much as we could and called the front desk to let them know. We were assured that the rooms were vacuumed every day. When we returned, exhausted from a day out, we were surprised to find shards of glass still on the floor. We were more surprised to find hair on the bed. Don't they change the sheets? But the cap was when I sat at the plank of wood they bolt to the wall as a desk. I needed to get an email out so fired up my computer and sat down, and went right to the floor. Turns out the cheap garbage chair stem was broken and when I sat the whole thing went over. Doesn't housekeeping check over the rooms between guests? We called down to the front desk to speak to a manager. Imagine my surprise when I was told there were none. Incredulous, I stammered "how is that possible?" Eventually I was told they would find the shift supervisor. Forgetting the fact that this would be the "manager" I asked for, how can there be no real management at the hotel? To his credit the supervisor was apologetic, got housekeeping to vacuum the glass up and searched out a working chair for us. He committed to comping the room, which was a nice gesture. I prepaid, so not sure if I will ever see the credit. We have another night here, maybe it will get better..... I decided we would stay at the Aloft hotel because it was close to the kids. Starwoods Hotels has been courting my business and I thought it would be comparable to one of the numerous other chains in the area. It is not. If you are in your twenties and have no experience with basic hotel amenities, this might seem like a hip, fun place. You could get an upscale youth hostel feel here. However, if you've ever stayed at a hotel before and have expectations that a night at the ALOFT would be comparable, you would be wrong. This town is hotel heavy so you have lots of choices, don't choose this one. read more

This is a bit of a disappointment, only because I have other Aloft properties to compare the Frisco location to. Aloft Frisco started off on the wrong foot, where everyone and their mother (or father) was there for some soccer tournament. And no double beds - which I booked - were available. So, I was offered a cot to unfold and sleep on. Sigh. The property looks clean from afar, but some of the couches/pillows are in dire need of upholstery cleaning or replacement. Same goes for the shower - which looked as if it had been building up mineral deposits for 10 years. Not possible since the Aloft hotels aren't that old. And I got a kick out of one of the towels left in the room for me - a worn & torn rag, frayed and all. But the good.... decent prices, a pool (no diving! And you won't miss the signs, there's at least 892342 of them in the pool area ;), a fun bar inside... and close to a mall. read more

How many hotels have you checked into hearing Queens Of the Stone Age blasting on the hotel sound system? Being the fact that I travel a lot for pleasure and used to work a job where I traveled a lot I have stayed in MANY hotels. A Loft is probably the coolest hotel I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The attention to detail is outstanding. The lobby is chic, with Warhol like prints of Johnny Cash and Elvis behind the fun pool table. They have retro games scattered all through out the lobby you can play. They have a really cool bar that serves up the most delicious strawberry mojitos I have ever tasted, plus the bar has wasabi peanuts to snack on (genius). The elevators have blue lights, scented with some sort of fragrance and they have gel cushion floors. The rooms: modern, slick, stylish. Flat screen TV's, the showers have Bliss soap, shampoos, ect which is crazy considering how expensive Bliss is. There are pretty flower arrangements. All the rooms come stocked with cool magazines like Spin and Conde Nast Traveler. The gym: coolest hotel gym EVAH. The equipment is Life Fitness and has digital touch screens where you can plug your iPod directly into the machine and manipulate the songs from the workout equipment itself. There is a variety of cardio and a great selection of weights. There is a small 3' deep swimming pool (outdoors) and an indoor/outdoor fireplace. Lobby: great snack choices, plus fresh lemon water. Price: Less than $100 a night. Crazy cheap compared to the regular W hotels and worth every cent. Summary: my mom wouldn't get this place. For the young (and young at heart). read more

Yes, I like this hotel very much. It's a young peeps hotel, tres chic, reminds me of a NYC hotel...small rooms, but plenty of space. If that makes any sense...?!? It's also in a great area, Target and lots of shopping is nearby and you are literally 5 minutes from 121 and all that it possesses. Upon arrival the place looks awesome. Fantabulous bar and even a little 7-11 type market you can buy stuff, open 24 hrs! SAWEET!!! The patio area by the pool is a definite plus....its not one of those where in order to sit outside you have to sit at the pool. Relaxing lounge areas. The rooms are lovely. We had two Queen beds, desk space for the both of us, a bench for sitting (or doing yoga, whatever) and a big flatscreen TV. The bathroom was on the backside with a hairdryer, towels, magazines, fresh coffee (for the making). The shower was divine. The nice thing about this place is that they provide very decent shampoo/conditioner, built in...so you can use as much or as little as you want!!! Hooray! The only thing that was a little less than fantastic, was the TV. We couldn't get a bunch of channels (like TBS, NBC...) and when we ordered a Pay Per View (bow chicka bow wow) movie there was no sound. So we had to get that taken off our bill. I've read a few other reviews that had this problem. But nonetheless, this is not a deal breaker with the hotel. The beds were lovely, very cozy, however my down comforter had ZERO down in it. It had all moved to the sides...so I basically had 3 layers of sheets. Le sigh. When we asked for a late checkout, we were granted it no problem. 1pm baby. ***This review is of the lounge area only*** I picked this place for a super chill GNO last weekend and it worked. Initially there was a crowd of young cheerleaders in the lounge area but I didn't notice them much and they didn't stay very long. The atmosphere was laid back and cozy and the building style itself had a modern and chic feel to it. The seating was organized to encourage sips, eats, and talks which is exactly what we did. I want to say our bartender was Josh? Maybe Jason... either way, I told him what my tastebuds liked and then let him do his thing. The drinks were tasty and packed punch even at a happy hour price point. He was very courteous. There was just enough buzz and just enough chill in the place. I will definitely return to hang out again. I think all the ladies had a good time too. Score. read more

If you could pull the essence from a vape pen and a man-bun and turn it into a hotel, this would be the result. Unfortunately, that makes for a place with far more form than function. The standard room with a queen bed is very cramped, (although esthetically pleasing) with a very narrow space that holds the sink, refrigerator, closet, and bathroom. The worst thing in the room is the shower. There is a translucent wall between the shower and bedroom. Anyone showering can be seen quite clearly by anyone in the room. A nightmare for any group other than a romantic couple. Won't be staying there, ever again. The staff was very nice and helpful read more

I wouldn't stay in this hotel again if it were FREE. They have a chronic (going on a month now) problem with the hot/cold water that is actually SCALDING while set on 100% cold. Instead of an apology we got an explanation of why it was so hot. Blah blah blah. Run the water for 10 minutes first... (so very green of you) Front desk staff is clueless at best. This is a safety issue that has not been fixed in over a month. They make the excuse that the are "new"... ah you've been open since 2009 - if you can't get your crap together by now give it up! Another annoying thing is there is a perfume spritzer thing in the elevators that totally reeks! I would love to love this hotel. It has several of the things I look for in a hotel. Good beds, nice pool, great workout room However, due to pathetic management and staff it is a place that should be avoided. read more

Not the location for business travelers. Service was not accomodating. This hotel not only charges for a basic razor, they didn't even have one available for purchase. I was forced to go to a business meeting unshaven and not at my best. The rooms facing the front parking lot are also blindingly bright from the parking lot lights and require you to completely close your blinds at night to get any sense of darkness. The high ceilings and hipster designs are nice to look at if you only use the hotel as a place to sleep. I expected some Sheraton-esque amenities in regards to food and found none. I sought refuge in the pool and saw only pavement and cars. I yearned for something out of this suburban hell which is Frisco and only saw more chain restaurants. This is my first stay at an Aloft and I was really trying to stay positive about this place. However, it has been so incredibly loud here the past two nights that its hard to be positive about anything. Last night I called the front desk and the problem was taken care of quickly. However, tonight I'm still up at 1 am after already calling down and being told others had called down as well. The workout facility is pretty small. Today it was way too crowded so I had to head to Golds Gym instead. ;) The shower leaks an incredible amount of water onto the floor and smells like mildew. I really like the idea/design of the hotel, but this stay has been a huge disappointment. read more
