Love this hotel. The bigger guy at night is always so nice. (I'm a big girl too) but the front desk ladies never ever say hi, hello, good morning, have a good day. I got in my room and could immediately hear the kids in the room next to me. The next night I could hear the people in the room next to me close their blinds. Then the kids started being loud. Very disappointed. I made my reservations a month in advance and when I got here, they gave me a room on the first floor two doors down from the main door coming into the lobby. I told him that that room would be too noisy. And they said no. Every time somebody walks through that door, it slams and I'm not able to sleep. There are stains on the carpet and a funny smell. They're blackout shades have a wide gap on both sides so the blinding light in the parking area comes right through into the room directly into your face because the windows are at the foot of the bed. This is a definite, no. Or maybe it was just the management here they didn't want to change my room, but from now on I will never stay. read more

Ahoy, Aloft! You need an update. Stayed here over a weekend for a "stay and play" baseball tournament. The staff are really nice and helpful. I chatted with a few of the staff while they were checking us in, getting extra towels, etc. Good customer service. Beyond that, not so great. I don't think this hotel has been updated, like ever. The decor is dated and things are kind of falling apart (e.g., we had to get packaging tape from the front desk to fix the pool table). The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The toilets barely flush. The rooms are sort of clean. The downstairs "cafe" is pay as you go. No thanks. Please provide some free cereal and juice with my cruddy room. We didn't have a choice but to stay here for the tournament, and I wouldn't stay here again by choice. read more

An awesome hotel to stay at if you're in the area! Plenty of parking, the hot tub & pool are inside, so the weather doesn't matter! Pool table in the lobby, free for guest use. Yummy made-to-order breakfast or a quick, nicely stocked grab n go deli area near the front desk. Clean rooms - the suites are awesome, more of a mini apartment than anything (2 bathrooms!) One of the coolest and most trendy hotels I've stayed at - definitely the best in Green Bay. Sydney went out of her way to provide me with great lists of breweries to try and Jason was always so enjoyable to visit for a drink. We are Marriott members and stay in a lot of properties when traveling but it's been many years since we have stayed at an Aloft. Our stay here was sub par. We guessed soon after our arrival that we are not the demographic this brand is looking to attract. Every front desk staff person we interacted with (3) was very young. Although friendly and welcoming, not very experienced and polished (plus we had to wait each time for someone to come to the desk). Our room on the fourth floor was pleasant enough but we soon discovered that our toilet was backed up. We asked for a plunger and were told they couldn't do that but we would be put on the maintenance log. We left our room at 10:30 am on Saturday and returned 12 hours later to discover the problem had not been fixed. When we went back to the front desk, we were told maintenance does not come in on the weekends! Huh? So we asked again for a plunger and one was sent up right away!! Also in the bathroom, the shower gel was empty, the shower door did not close all the way, causing water to get on the floor and there was only one towel hook. On the plus side, the fitness room was large and had a nice variety of equipment. However, the water dispenser was empty and looked like it had not been attended to in a long time and the sanitary wipes were empty. We paid a different rate for Friday vs Saturday and Saturday's rate was way overpriced for our experience. read more

This review is about the staff that makes this location so special The hotel is always important- the food, the cleanliness, the comfort, the location- but at this hotel- it is about the personnel! Wow- what great service and great people that work here!- I have been coming here for over 9 years and many of the staff have been consistent and really make this hotel feel like home First there is Kendall, whom every time I see her, she looks like a new improvement of herself. She is cordial, funny, feisty and welcoming and I look forward to this feisty exchange every time I come to this Aloft. I can see her managing any of the top SPG properties in years to come. She is that capable and that good. SPG should be elated to have an employee as good as Kendall Then there is Patty at the bar that makes me laugh when I see her due to her jovial spirit. She makes me laugh so hard, I almost choke but it is all in good fun. What a great girl! And there is Noah that works on opposite days than Patty that is really warm and nice and eager to learn about things. We came last minute due to weather and our daughter having an early morning flight. Will greeted us and our dog and made sure everything was perfect. This is our second time having Will during check in and he is so extremely friendly and accommodating. He was the face we were relieved to see after 2 hours of driving in extreme fog. After a long day in Door County, and being exhausted in the heat, it was nice to walk in and have Cedric at the front desk greet me with a smile and got me checked in so quick. He was super nice and the customer service he gave out (the energy) was so pleasant. Personally some hotels I've stayed at, the front desk wasn't the most welcoming, but Cedric did such an amazing job. As soon as I got to my room, it was nice and clean. Decent hotel, but overpriced. It's trying very hard to be trendy, and it's kind of succeeding. Definitely has a much younger crowd than many, at least from the people I saw during our stay and, you know, from the bar in the lobby. It's always busy at the bar. There's also a little food store, pool table, lounge areas. Plusses: comfy beds. Stylish. A cool shower. Good deals online. Great pet policy- no charge. Negatives: no privacy in the room. A bit too trendy to be practical, and with a baby and dog I want comfy and practical at the end of the day. Stylish is nice too, but not at the expense of other factors. Can't make the room completely dark. Bath "door" slides and has gaps around edges, and bangs into the counter. Echoey, loud.  No microwave. Small bath. Small pool. And why do hotels in general have doors like bank vaults? They slam if you're not careful, and the latch is so loud it woke my wife when I took the dog out for a walk. Luckily, not the baby. If it's just you, and you get up early, and find a discounted room, hey, enjoy. But for a family on vacation, there are much better rooms out there. read more

Very unique hotel in terms of aesthetics. Lobby is very unique and compact. Cool bar. The food concept is interesting where you go pick out the food and then pay at the front desk which is kind of in the middle of the floor. So, no free breakfast. The room wowed me. I walked in and thought I was in somebody's house. NIce combination of colors, textures, and patterns on the walls and floor. Quite a difference from the Marriotts and Hiltons I stay in for business normally. Really like the layout of the room. Love the leather (or like leather) couch. Huge LCD. I felt like I could be more productive working at the desk in this room compared to your average business hotel. Free wifi. read more

I really want to give this hotel a good review because I am an avid SPG member, but the front desk agents are really lacking basic customer service skills. Every time I walked in the front door of the hotel, or came up to the front desk for something, the two girls working completely ignored me. They were either too busy talking amongst themselves, or leaning on the counter on their cell phones texting their friends. They would not even look up to say hi to me or acknowledge I was there until I spoke to them. The hotel itself is great- love the comfy rooms and trendy lobby and hang out area. Probably would return because I am a Starwood gold member and want my points, but obviously I need to lower my expectations next time so I am not disappointed. read more

Horrible service, no manager, employees at the bar...will never left my family stay there again

Stayed at Aloft as part of our Packer Fan Tours package. And it's just like the locations I've experienced in other cities, really. Starwood really knows their brands, after all. Modern, fresh and fun pretty much covers it. Beds and rooms are well kept and comfortable for a short visit or an extended stay. I could've done with more water pressure in the shower though... but that's probably just a function of the water-saving fixtures more than anything. The bar was a great place to watch some games and meet some other vacationers, also to play giant jenga until the wee hours of the night. And there's a pretty decently stocked food area for snacks or a quick breakfast. I'd absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Green Bay. Oh, and make sure to snag your complimentary bottle of water if you're into those. read more

We absolutely loved this place. Super modern Amerasian fusion style room. The only thing not ultra modern was the picture on the wall which was a magnetic pc disk drive. After all, we all know pc storage is going solid state. :0) Very good price for the room and the staff were WI friendly. All hotels should use a space saving efficient design like the Aloft. read more

This place sucks! I reserved a queen size double room, when I arrived they told me they did not have any. Mind you I reserved it two months in advance, so they told me they give me two king-size rooms, and then proceeded to charge me an extra $200 for those rooms. They did not tell me I had to pay extra for their mistake. Will never go back there again. read more

We stayed here while in Green Bay for the Green Bay Marathon. The hotel is pretty nice, but in a weird location. It's kind of a hip hotel, the low cost clone of the W Hotels--as far as I can tell a real outlier in Green Bay, with a lot of neon, a slick lobby with a flashy bar and a pool table in the lobby, a deep back beat music loud in the background. But the hotel itself, while looking over the Fox River, is in the middle of nowhere near a brokerage office and some home building suppliers. I can imagine the NY Giants showing up here the night before a Packers game, looking at this place and seeing nothing around and the first words out of Eli Manning's mouth: 'So, who brought the X-Box?' (there is a hook up for your game system to the nice flat screen TVs in the room). That said, the rooms are new as I write this and are very useable. Very nice staff. While nothing else is within walking distance of the hotel, everything is within a short drive. I think that they could have spent a little more on the towels and linens, they seemed pretty budget-minded, but other than that no complaints. Oh, there are no bathtubs, just nice showers. Not too expensive either--though I'm probably comparing to Chicago prices. read more

I stayed one night at an A-Loft a week or so ago in another city, so wasn't sure if they are all the same. Well this week I'm at a fairly new A-Loft in Green Bay. And they are pretty much exactly the same. The downstairs lobby is pretty hip with music and not a real obvious front desk. They have self-check-in terminals where you can check-in and get your keys just with your credit card. In the lobby there is a big bar area with people lounging and hanging out and a billiards table and the swimming pool just outside, and the fitness center just beyond with a view of the pool. The rooms are just okay, nothing really special. They have the modern flat panel TV, nice comfy bed, and a nice large shower with good shower head. But there is also a pane of glass that allows the shower to view into the living room and vice versa (warning if you are sharing a room with an unfamiliar person). The closet area is funky with a sliding shade instead of a door. Good counter space next to the sink. Free WiFi is a plus for this hotel. Worst part is no free breakfast. You can buy a la cart things downstairs which they do have quite a few options. I wound up going to the grocery to purchase some cereal and milk for the week (they have a mini-refrigerator standard in all rooms). I will stay at this place again as it is newer and to build my Starwood points. read more

Stayed here for 3 nights. It's okay. Staff is nice. Beds were comfy. I was on 3rd floor and tile floor near sink and in bathroom and shower were grimey and dirty looking... I heard the road noise in the morning from my room. At night time, I'd sit at the desk and bugs would be attracted to light so there'd be tons of bugs on the windows and somehow some ... like 1-3 a night would get inside walk around the desk and fly to the lamp. No Netflix on TV like other Marriot Bonvoy places. read more

This review is specific to one person in customer service (Charlie... spelling?). Saturday when a huge storm went through our area, many of the hotels were booked up. When calling Aloft for vacancy, I got Charlie in customer service for their hotel. Even though Aloft was booked, Charlie went above and beyond and looked into their sister hotels, finding one room available at Residence Inn. I was going to get off the phone with him and contact Residence Inn directly when he offered to set everything up through him. He looked into requested amenities for us and booked it directly with confirmation number. I know this seems a small no big deal task to some, it's become more difficult these days to find customer service that goes out of their way to help you. Shout out and acknowledgment to Charlie for great customer service!! I hope this hotel knows the gem they have. read more

My husband and I stayed here the weekend of July 26. Overall the room was cute. Beds were comfortable. Despite the hotel being full, we didn't hear a peep from any other guests - perhaps because we checked in so late (around 11:45 pm). I would definitely stay here again. read more

I will start this review by saying that I am a frequent at the Marriott and I thought with this being apart of the brand now I could give it a try. Initial impression: The hotel was very easy to access and had great parking in front of the hotel, which was very easy to find a park. I thought the outside of the hotel was clean and it was a pretty nice hotel. Check in: Now for the reasons for such a low rating. Through my banks reward perks I was able to get gift cards to the Marriott brand so it was perfect. My card is already on file when I book on Marriott so I went to the front desk and the staff was welcoming. We proceed to check in and I mention that I had gift cards. The front desk staffed seemed a little confused on how to proceed stating that they rarely get gift cards. So one of the staff members goes and gets the manager to help. Okay cool. The manager comes out not making eye contact first saying "well we need to make sure they are valid first". Rude! Once they check the validity of the gift cards we then proceed with the transaction. The manager told me to just swipe my card, not asking which method of payment I was choosing or anything, nor a total. In short the manager wanted me to pay the total for the room with my card and THEN was going to utilize the gift cards stating "incidentals". For me this did not make sense, especially if someone has a coupon or gift card, wouldn't you want to take this off first? Well then she tried to argue that the gift card did not cover the whole stay anyways which is why she was going to apply it last. Again does not make sense. I frequently travel, I am aware of incidental fees and was in no way trying to move around them but I was not going to utilize my gift card for that. When I asked how much the incidentals were she said she did not know it was up to the bank usually 50-100 dollars. Well if you were not sure you were just going to take the 100 gift card for incidentals because you felt like it?I asked if I could put the incidentals on my credit card. She then said that she does not think they can accept multiple forms of payment. What?? Either way we ended up swiping my credit card for the incidentals and guess what it held? $1.00. Yep a measly dollar. So this manager was going to just apply the incidentals for a 100.00 because she felt like it and was not even sure what my bank was going to charge me for it. Once that craziness was over with she then proceeded to tell us about the area and things to do. The conversation ended positively but this was clearly a training issue if the staff does not know how to apply a gift card. Please address that issue. The room: I thought the room was very cute. Butttt...The bed I ordered was a King and it was quite clear it was a queen. I sleep in a King at home so I am familiar with the size. I then called down to the front desk and stated that I did request a king bed and she asked if there were one or two beds in the room. I replied one and she said "well all of the one bed rooms are kings so it is a king." Even though we took measurements from the app on our phone and compared it to the dimensions of a queen bed. At this point I was over this hotel. All in all I thought the property was very cute and trendy but due to my poor experience I will NOT be returning to this hotel. I absolutely enjoy the Marriott and will continue to stay at other hotels in the brand. read more

I recognize that when you have tens of thousands of Packer fans descending on the city 9 times each year, every hotel is going to take a beating. My problem is that the season has been over for 6 months and hotels (especially the higher priced ones like Aloft) have had adequate time to clean, repair, and regroup. That doesn't seem to have happened at Aloft Green Bay. To wit: A) The entire fourth floor (where the desk clerk kindly put me when I indicated that I'm a light sleeper) smelled of dirty feet. B) The bodies of dead insects where visible in every light fixture lens in my room. C) There was a beer can and ear plugs in the garbage can in my room. As well as dust on all of the horizontal services, wrinkled towels, stains on the carpet, and some kind of odd white substance all over the walls-I'm not sure if it was bodily fluid or paint, but it gave me the creeps. The room didn't really appear to have been cleaned. Additionally, some middle aged business doucher (I guess not unlike myself), was hitting on the bartender, and I had to finally demand to be served, because I was being treated like a potted plant. Don't buy the hype my friends. This place isn't worthy of the relatively premium price. read more

I've stayed at several Aloft properties, and can comment on how this one compares: *Typical box exterior, like all the others *Rooms - - same as all the others (sm fridge inside, typical shower, same comfy bed) *XYZ experience -- Brian the bartender flat out rocks!! (One of best Aloft bar service experiences ever. Very personable and attentive!) *Easy and super friendly check-in experience -- Aloha desk gave me all sorts of cute little coupons to use for extra "Sips" and a free drink due to my # of stays, etc *FREE parking! Nice... *Convenient location to where I needed to go in GB *Complimentary WiFi, like all the others *Glad that they participate in SPG's current "Better by the Night" promo - unlike other Alofts (ahem, MKE!) Aloft GB will always get my future business stays. And judging by the number of other guests there, others feel the same way. :) Great stay! read more

After staying here 3 times before I visited in early April of this year for a Sunday evening on business and was pretty disappointed. I was less than delighted to find that the Regatta Club, the restaurant directly behind the hotel had closed as it was wonderful, but this is not Aloft's doing and I digress... I was staying here because of my past positive experiences but unfortunately this time was not so great and I'm not sure I would return. My room seemed a bit shabby, like no updates have been done and the carpet and furniture had started to show wear. The thing I was most upset about and the loss of another star was the food mess and smeared into the carpet cupcakes that were never cleaned up during my stay, even after I had informed the front desk. My suitcase literally had frosting in the wheels. I will now look for other options when staying in the area. read more

One star is generous. I called to cancel my reservation, but according to them, there is no record of me calling. I've tried persistently to work with the general manager but after a couple emails between us, she is now ignoring me. No reply to emails or calls. Good luck getting a refund if you need to cancel your reservation and good luck getting any help from the general manager when you need it. Customer service must not be part of GM job requirements. From some other reviews I've read I'm not the only one that has been ignored when there is a problem. read more

I chose this hotel based off of on line reviews. Overall is was just OK. The location is a bit weird, like you are tucked away in an Industrial Park with a view of the freeway. It had a decent little bar and a free pool table area. The room was VERY small for 129.00/night but clean. It was a bit "stale" in my opinion as far as decor but some people like that super modern "Ikea" style. The room had a free fridge and FREE bottled water which was nice. It looks like they had a pretty nice outdoor courtyard area that could have been nice to sit around at, it was pouring down rain though so we didn't really get to check that out. I like that it is pet friendly too :) The negatives, we could hear people walking above our room all night long and kids yelling down the halls and doors slamming every time someone left a room. It wasn't very "soundproof". It wasn't horrible....but wasn't amazing either. read more

I really enjoy coming to this hotel. However, on our most recent stay it was lightning out we couldn't go swimming. It was my sons fist birthday so the only reason we came was to swim. I asked if we could reschedule our room to next weekend instead and was told no. So now we have to spend the night in the hotel because I don't want to just lose my money. Really sucks. read more

I splurged on this place staying overnight in Green Bay for work due to a snowstorm. I expected to be a lot more impressed by this place than I actually was. Lobby area seemed nice, I didn't try out the bar. I was given a room right by the elevator, and they were gracious and changed my room when I told them I am a light sleeper and didn't want to be so close. The room was clean, modern, with an interesting layout. Nice flat screen TV on the wall. Large glass enclosed shower. Room was quiet. The two main things I didn't like about this place were: 1) there is one ice maker in the ENTIRE hotel. ONE. I use a lot of ice. To get ice, you have to go to the first floor, where the icemaker is located and tough to find. 2) The toiletries provided (soap and soap gel in the shower) have a VERY strong scent that smell like men's deodorant. Which is fine if you're a man, but not cool if you're a woman and you don't bring your own soap cause you just figure you'll use what is there in the hotel. For the price paid, I think I liked the Wyndham airport in Green Bay better. read more

This was a hotel with good style for the price (around $90 for a Friday night stay in November). I liked the room decor and was very impressed with the amount of flat space there was to put luggage, packages, or whatever. The shower was great for tall people and had built-in shampoo/conditioner and body wash dispensers. I recently stayed at Walt Disney World's brand-new Art of Animation resort and they didn't have this "basic" green feature. The lobby/bar was very happening the night we were there, which made for a good atmosphere but very hard to hear staff when we checked in. We didn't use the pool, breakfast, or any other amenities at the hotel. Our stay was just too short otherwise I would have liked to check out the outdoor fireplace and seating. Maybe next time? I echo comments from other posters about the location. It was in an out of the way place. Even though the hotel wasn't full they put us in a room facing the highway, which I thought was a little tacky. read more

Great service, friendly staff. Very dog friendly, they let us bring our little guy just about anywhere in the hotel or on the property. Lobby bar service was very good. Room was clean and new, in great shape. Only downsides were the lack of any outdoor trash bins (thus we had nowhere to deposit picked up dog droppings) and breakfast sandwiches (gas station quality). I don't really blame them for the sandwiches, there's only so much you can do with grab-and-go food like that. If you stay here while it's nice outside, there's a restaurant called Regatta 220 right behind the hotel. It has outdoor seating by the water. Food is only OK but service is good and it's walkable from the hotel. read more

When we made the reservation online, we selected "breakfast package," but for some reason the package does not come with the reservation. So that was kind of irritating. The pool and hot tub were both closed because "something happened." The layout of the room was interesting and creative. They deserve some points for style and use of space; however, the bathroom does not afford much privacy in terms of sound. When bunking with another person, make sure the TV is on when doing number 2. Trust me. There is no restaurant connected to the hotel, but there is one within walking distance. Wi-fi is good. The lobby was interesting. I wouldn't recommend this for business travelers. read more

Nice place to stay in GB....trendy and very Euro-style. Nice and friendly staff, and the snack section is sort of like a c-store.....next to the front desk.... Price was right and the bed was amazingly big and comfortable. Will try to stay here every visit to GB. read more

Horrible experience. Quoted $131 when we called the desk, only to find the reservations line was rerouted to a sales guy in an entirely different city...and then were charged almost $160 when we arrived at the hotel. Front desk pushed us next door for dinner, saying there were no other restaurants nearby (and the rest were too far to drive to?!). Indeed. Was told there would be breakfast, only to find it was outrageously overpriced as well. The pretty lobby and pool, small but stylish room, and incredibly comfortable mattress all failed to make up for the fact that we both left angry, mad at ourselves for letting that happen, and frustrated. F+. I've never written a yelp review before but would rather sleep in a motel 6 than set foot in Aloft Green Bay again. read more
