Many circumstances can change within 5 months, that is why we have follow up appointments, is it not? I was informed by my pcm (you would think that the referral office would call you and explain their decision) 2 weeks before a consult, that had been scheduled months prior. I am very disappointed in how this matter was handled and the response I received when I called. My recommendation would be for anyone looking for help or a referral is to continue looking for a doctor's office who values the fact you have waited 5 months to see them and at least will give you the courtesy of calling you directly to communicate their decisions. Patient's have rights also. Don't settle for mistreatment.

I can't play phone tag and then be told the referral was 'failed.' I've asked around and they have less than a good reputation, that they see you for five minutes and then write five prescriptions. So I am glad they made it impossible for me to see a doctor there. But for the person with neuro-psychiatry problems, with reduced cognitive functioning, who has issues with memory, just forget this place. If they can't just make an appointment and call it a day, then there is something wrong with them.

Dr. Emmer ran the typical tests that one would for a new patient and then took the time to sit down with me and go over each and everyone with me personally. His nurse is also very thorough and gathers a lot of information regarding how your feeling, your weight, blood pressure, etc. I have been back for a couple of follow up visits and was treated the same way. Dr. Emmer and his nurse even took the time to talk to me about the current Virus pandemic and how to deal with it now, and in the future. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

They seem to be under staffed, no one seems to care about the patient. Many times they have only one tech working both the drive through and the counter. Do not even try to reach the pharmacy by phone or even try to talk to the pharmacist. It will never happen. CVS on Whiskey seems to be better staffed and certainly much more pleasant and helpful. I will be changing all my prescriptions to this CVS.
