Our experience as buyers was excellent! Unfortunately that was not the case as a seller which is…read morereally too bad that there was such a difference. I understand that everything is fully automated these days, but that should not include customer service. Feedback is important when trying to sell your house not just relying on a website to relay the information for you. It felt like if we wanted any additional feedback we would have to do the reaching out. Marketing seemed really low key. There are agents who market the heck out things- didn't feel like this was the case. When I went to clear out the brochures out of the box it still contained brochures from our original list price and we lowered it a few times. Also, an open house sign was left hanging there for several weeks when there was no open house and our front interior door was left unlocked. It seemed like the process was just going through the bare minimum motions. On- line scheduling was fine for open houses, but there were a few times that I had to call to confirm that the showing was actually going to take place or not and the receptionist was apologetic for the notification going out in error or several times in a row. Online access. If you are going to rely solely on online communication. It should work for the end user. I appreciate the fact that we got to end our relationship prematurely, but not being asked what can we do to improve tells me that they are no longer interested in doing much to more. That was the clincher and the biggest sign to move on. There are a lot of agents out there, perhaps as sellers this just wasn't a good fit. I get there is only so much an agent can do and that patience is important, but there can also be a little more done to move things along compared to other people's experiences and feedback that I have heard from in this market. I was encouraged by many people to move on earlier then we did, but it is what it is. I appreciate the work that was done. Sometimes relationships just run their course.

They know what they are doing, and will be as passionate about finding your dream home as you are! We started working with the mortgage consultants at their Edina Realty office 2 years before we were ready to make an offer. They worked so hard for us, showing us every house we dreamed to see. We looked all over the metro, as my husband & I narrowed down the area we wanted to start our lives in. We are so happy with the house we bought, and just celebrated our 3rd year here. I look forward to using them again soon as we begin a search for another house with more bedrooms for our growing family. Thanks Rob & Bridget for helping us find the perfect home :)

Before I get into it, though, I would like to summarize (for those in a hurry / TL;DR) that I am extremely pleased with the experience. Joe keeps his units more than reasonably priced - they are ultra-competitive with the industry standard. Once leased up, Joe and Jackie (his Assistant) have been highly responsive with any maintenance requests. They have had their maintenance team out to look at/repair things within one business day on every single occasion over 7 years. Further, they have replaced appliances as needed, and have no problem having a crew that will honestly appraise whatever situation I am dealing with - they do not eschew sound judgment in favor of penny-pinching. Joe himself, as has been pointed out by others, is not the most jovial of fellows. But what Joe is, and what he does, is better. Joe is a conscientious business owner who operates with complete integrity. He looks you in the eye, only says what he means, and means every word he says. One of life's lessons is that you cannot afford to partner with anyone who fails to operate in that way - particularly when it comes to where you decide to call 'home'. And once you are in, Joe will take care of you. Problem neighbor? They will deal with it. Security concern? They're on it. You get the picture. If my review makes it sound as though there are non-stop 'issues' in my building, that is not at all the case. Phone calls to the office are very rare - the building is quiet, secure, and clean. I am comfortable having my family here, which I would never compromise. If you need anything, you will not lack for help in having your issue remedied. Joe and Jackie run a fair and transparent business, which may be a bit of a dying art in today's age.

I have lived for over 20 years at 1929 Ford Pkwy, an apartment building now managed by Arcadia…read moreManagement. Although I obviously like my apartment, I have had a very negative experience with Arcadia Management. For over a week, I have left phone messages for Arcadia Management regarding a new entrance system they installed and for getting documentation I need to renew my lease. There has been no response from Arcadia Management to the numerous messages I have left. What good is a management company that you can't reach? Earlier this year, there was a leak from the apartment above mine that caused part of my living room ceiling to fall down. It took well over a month to finally get the ceiling repaired, and the repair is very visible. Years ago, before the building was managed by Arcadia Management, part of my bathroom ceiling fell in. When the repair to the ceiling was made it was so well done that I couldn't see where the ceiling fell in. I expected the same quality of repair to be done to my living room ceiling. Every winter since Arcadia Management took over I have had to call and request that they do a proper job of clearing off the steps and sidewalk. This year after the plows went through there was a pile of snow over knee high on the end of the sidewalk. I have Multiple Sclerosis and can't climb over a pile of snow that high. I had to call Arcadia and request that they shovel the end of the sidewalk in order for me to be able to reach the street to get on a Metro Mobility van that was coming to take me to an appointment. I could go on, but I think you get the idea. As I said in the beginning, I like my apartment, my neighbors, and my building, but I have a very negative opinion of Arcadia Management.

I was originally going to move in to one of their other properties, but I wouldn't have been able to move in until after my previous lease was already over. They offered this property so I could move in right away without needing to figure out where to keep all my stuff in between apartments. The community manager, Alicia Thomas, even went to the property to get me a video tour since I didn't have the time to come see it in person. Alicia and Nicole were super helpful with all of my questions and move-in! I would definitely recommend leasing with them!

When I decided to make the move to purchase my own place, I knew that I wanted to work with them. I was matched with Austen Kordosky from their team and he was eager to help me get started. Austen was super friendly, very flexible and always kept my "Must Haves" in mind when showing me properties. He also didn't push back when I sent him listings that I wanted to check out, despite them not being a best fit for me; he allowed me to go through the process and grow through the process. Mid-way through my search I pivoted from wanting a condo to exploring a single family home and Austen eagerly pivoted with me showing me three properties the following morning. He was great about reaching out to me with a regular cadence and suggesting properties for me to tour. One property in particular was one where he was representing the seller and it was not yet on the market officially. When I walked in I was super impressed with the beautiful light of the south facing windows, the gorgeous hardwood floors and 100-year-old woodwork. Despite touring several houses after that, I kept thinking back to the property that would eventually become mine. By having a sneak peak into a pre-listing I was able to take more time with my choice to purchase and avoided the craziness of the spring real estate market. This was something that had plagued me on several prior offer submissions. Had I not been working with Austen I would have never found this gem. The whole Odd Couple Team in general was awesome to work with. The co-owner of the team called me when I started working with Austen and after I purchased my home to congratulate me. Additionally, I received a fun welcome gift from them at my closing that was an awesome surprise! That type of all star service is why you should work with their team. They take great pride in the work that they do and I am so grateful! Thanks Austen and team!
