A beautiful four poster bed with views of the Ohio river on the Scenic River Road and a beautiful tub made this an idealic place to start our lives together. The Inn did not survive the Covid pandemic and our attempts to stay here since have not been possible and some of the separate buildings have since been sold to others. The location across from the Overlook Restaurant at the historic and scenic Oxbow Bend of the Ohio river and proximity to I-64 make it a perfect location.

Friends (and their two dogs) and I came camping here for 2 nights/3 days. It was incredibly humid, but there was adequate shading from trees in the camping spot that we were lucky enough to secure. We went with electric to also accommodate the longer weekend and allow us to use fans in our tents. Our campsite was perfect, to be entirely honest. It was nicely located within walking distance to the restrooms. The restrooms were cleaned thoroughly each day/night with lots of bleach (which was great considering COVID 19 was still around). The showers were all very clean, but I'll add that one thing that should be addressed was the sagging in the flooring so one of the toilet stalls had tons of water setting in it - not the most sanitary. There is a nice camp store for your random needs, including firewood that was moderately priced. One batch was not dried out at all, the other was perfectly dried out. Our luck had it that our car battery died as we packed up and loaded everyone/thing in the car. Our neighbors were all gone so we went to the campstore where they sent someone, reluctantly at first, to help us jump our car and get us going. The DNR ranger was extremely helpful and nice. Would highly recommend this campsite, especially if you're going for the lake. I wouldn't recommend the trails for hiking (we ended up having to pull around 50-60 ticks off of us and the dogs...yikes, mostly due to lack of signage on the trails).

If your here at this time bring LOTS of candy, we went through 17 pounds in one hour giving out 1 candy bar per child. There are hundreds of truck r' treaters. This is a very nice campground- we stayed in site #243 which was very small. Our site had a pretty good sized tree that was situated next to the1 camper, which we didn't like. We did like that it had woods behind us with privacy- except for the skunk that came by and visited us every night, praying it didn't spray anything. The campground had good showers except for having to push the button 20 times to keep the water running and don't forget to twist the knob to make the water hotter or cooler- my husband didn't know it was adjustable and he ended up taking a cold shower- It is all paved sites. They do have handicapped sites as well. Fire rings at every campsite. They have a camp store-its not very big but it was stocked with candies, drink items. The frisbee golf is quite the adventure- the course starts out good and wide and flat then it is up in the woods. Very hard to walk up hills and keeping your frisbee on the course is a challenge. My son feared of snakes-it is along the creek. I couldn't do this course but my son did and told me all about it. Very steep hills-

The ad says AC, it was not on during a week of high 70s. with our room on the 2nd floor it was needed. The owner didn't want to turn on, and told my husband to go in one of the ther rooms and find a fan. The ad offers fresh homemade cookies as a snack, coffee and tea. none of those items were available. The bed had totally been sprayed with fabreeze. So much so we smelled like it the next morning. Breakfast was to be served at a certain time, we went down and waited. no one in sight, kitchen dark, we knew there was an issue. Owner said oops no one here to cook. Told us to walk down two blocks to the Cafe and show them our key and they would charge him. when we arrived, going up to our room, we noticed a room with an unmade bed. The next morning the owner asked us if we had changed rooms thru the night. we told him it was like that when we arrived. Not a good experience for our very first B&B!

The new owner was on the property when we arrived and she offered some local dinner recommendations. The cabin has two bedrooms on the second floor. The bathroom is on the first floor. Really enjoyed the screened-in porch. There are hiking trails on the property and there's a communal fire pit and activities area. Peaceful area, would stay here again.

Gospel of the kingdom campground is a religious property in the city of Shepherdsville Kentucky…read morethat has been standing since 1942. I am not a member of this group nor have I ever Attended an event here. So why am I familiar with that place and why am I reviewing it? It's simple, Thai place is a bit of a urban legend here locally in Louisville. In less insensitive times this place was dubbed "midgetville". It has a small community of tiny homes. That from my understanding was used for goodwill and not just little people. But, from the urban legends and places like roadside of America covering it this has become a mildly popular obscure Lousiville area tourist attraction You come by and take photos in front of the tiny places. I'm pretty sure they are vacant and have been for awhile. I may be wrong and if I am I sincerely apologize for the trespassing as it was nice to feel like a giant in the numerous photo ops here. Overall cool and neat urban legend and site to see. As a little kids I thought the whole thing was made up. Turns out it exists it just isn't to the extent that it's a town or little people who live in a "midgetville" neighborhood . Either way still really cool and it's awesome that church communities like this did or continue to exist to help people out in need.

One word...Wow!!! I…read moream afraid to post this review, worried we may never get to book here again if it gets too busy. We needed a quiet, peaceful, romantic weekend away and we found it. If that is what you want consider coming here to unplug for a few days. Nice modern, new cabins with... no internet, no satellite TV, and spotty cellphone service. Maybe not for everyone, but just what we needed. The view is fantastic. Nestled high on the bank of the Ohio River looking east into Kentucky. I had no idea Indiana had anything like this view. The hot tub is also a big plus. I got to watch an amazing sunrise one morning while enjoying it. The location puts you 30 minutes to an hour from lots of great stuff to do as well. Caving, hiking, exploring, shopping, eating... plenty to do if you want to get out for a bit. The host was great and super friendly. Looking forward to coming back soon. Note: there are no laundry facilities either, so keep that in mind for your planning and packing.
