Laundry was a small shed and it was very hot in that shed. It was 4th of July weekend and the boat ramp was next to our site. Very busy. It's quiet once the boat crowed left. We left early due to no cell service and bad weather approaching. Starlink is a must if you stay here.

The owners/hosts are very friendly. There is a nice dock to sit on or fish off of down by the boat ramp. There is also a basketball goal and playset that the kids in the campground enjoyed. We happened to be there on there Halloween celebration weekend. They had trick or treating and a chili cookoff as well as a site decorating contest. They also had some very nice prizes for the winners! They also had live music. There is no wifi or antenna signal. If you have good wifi on your phone, you may be able to get a low signal depending on your carrier. The town is very small and we did eat at the Overlook restaurant, which was very good but a little on the pricey side. Overall a very pleasant weekend!

Friends (and their two dogs) and I came camping here for 2 nights/3 days. It was incredibly humid, but there was adequate shading from trees in the camping spot that we were lucky enough to secure. We went with electric to also accommodate the longer weekend and allow us to use fans in our tents. Our campsite was perfect, to be entirely honest. It was nicely located within walking distance to the restrooms. The restrooms were cleaned thoroughly each day/night with lots of bleach (which was great considering COVID 19 was still around). The showers were all very clean, but I'll add that one thing that should be addressed was the sagging in the flooring so one of the toilet stalls had tons of water setting in it - not the most sanitary. There is a nice camp store for your random needs, including firewood that was moderately priced. One batch was not dried out at all, the other was perfectly dried out. Our luck had it that our car battery died as we packed up and loaded everyone/thing in the car. Our neighbors were all gone so we went to the campstore where they sent someone, reluctantly at first, to help us jump our car and get us going. The DNR ranger was extremely helpful and nice. Would highly recommend this campsite, especially if you're going for the lake. I wouldn't recommend the trails for hiking (we ended up having to pull around 50-60 ticks off of us and the dogs...yikes, mostly due to lack of signage on the trails).

If your here at this time bring LOTS of candy, we went through 17 pounds in one hour giving out 1 candy bar per child. There are hundreds of truck r' treaters. This is a very nice campground- we stayed in site #243 which was very small. Our site had a pretty good sized tree that was situated next to the1 camper, which we didn't like. We did like that it had woods behind us with privacy- except for the skunk that came by and visited us every night, praying it didn't spray anything. The campground had good showers except for having to push the button 20 times to keep the water running and don't forget to twist the knob to make the water hotter or cooler- my husband didn't know it was adjustable and he ended up taking a cold shower- It is all paved sites. They do have handicapped sites as well. Fire rings at every campsite. They have a camp store-its not very big but it was stocked with candies, drink items. The frisbee golf is quite the adventure- the course starts out good and wide and flat then it is up in the woods. Very hard to walk up hills and keeping your frisbee on the course is a challenge. My son feared of snakes-it is along the creek. I couldn't do this course but my son did and told me all about it. Very steep hills-

You can tell by staying they take pride in what they do. Out of every place I've stayed never had one feel more like home. Each room has its own theme with a nice pool table. If you're anywhere close to Louisville just do yourself a favor and drive the extra 5 minutes to this place you won't regret it.

Upon our arrival the house was impeccably spotless. Thoughtful touches. Fly swatter on the patio table and indoors on the desk. Nice. Apple device charger next to the desk. Nice. Frosty, frozen beer mugs in the freezer. Nice. Even though we brought our own, masks and hand sanitizer we're provided. Nice. Ample hangers in closets. Nice. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Nice. Master bath needs handrail(s) for safer jacuzzi tub entry / exit. A towel bar to hang wet towels would be a nice touch. We may be more outdoorsey than some, but we would have liked to open the windows at night, but there are no screens. This house has everything, how can it not have screens? State Park style BBQ is literally indestructible, but not a great device for making steaks. We understand having it away from the house, but a standard charcoal BBQ could be installed so it cannot be brought close to the house and be much better to cook on. The grounds are nicely maintained. Chairs and rocking chairs on the front porch were perfect for watching the 3 turkeys. There's a picnic table to the side of the house and down the hill in back a fire pit and horseshoes. This location is great. 10 minutes to the heart of French Lick and less than 15 minutes to the entrance to Patoka Lake. We have never stayed in a place that has supplied wine on a honor basis to just leave money if you open a bottle. What a great idea. If we were to return to French Lick and Patoka Lake we would definitely rent this house from Randy again.

This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house that is attractive, nicely decorated, and convenient to French Lick, Patoka Lake and other area attractions like Spring Mill Park. The fully equipped kitchen is really great and has all you need you need to make everything from a snack to a full dinner (provided you supply the food.) Lots of sitting areas outside including a large front porch, a garden sitting area on the side of the house and in the back a grill and fire pit. The house also has a large laundry room and a jetted tub in master suite with a shower. Although this place would be great for hunters and fishermen, it is much nicer than your average hunting lodge and would work well for families, or a get-away week or weekend.

The ad offers fresh homemade cookies as a snack, coffee and tea. none of those items were available. The bed had totally been sprayed with fabreeze. So much so we smelled like it the next morning. Breakfast was to be served at a certain time, we went down and waited. no one in sight, kitchen dark, we knew there was an issue. Owner said oops no one here to cook. Told us to walk down two blocks to the Cafe and show them our key and they would charge him. when we arrived, going up to our room, we noticed a room with an unmade bed. The next morning the owner asked us if we had changed rooms thru the night. we told him it was like that when we arrived. Not a good experience for our very first B&B!

Our tour guide was good as far as information but my husband and I both thought he was a little flippant towards people in the group and although he would say "you'll have time for pictures" he would be audibly irritated with people if they were more than a couple feet behind the person in front of them or if they talked quietly amongst themselves while stopped to take said picture. It's not the most expensive tour we have taken but allowing each group of ppl in the group a few seconds to snap a picture should be allowed for the price you pay. I would recommend this cavern to people trying to choose from several in the area.
