They had…read morewhat should have been a simple tile job for a "professional" on the floor of their bathroom that James claimed would be no problem for him to do. My parents picked out a square tile to be laid in a simple pattern. Within a couple of months of James "finishing" the job, 9 tiles cracked! It was noticed immediately following "completion" that all of the tiles weren't flush with each other. When pointed out to James, he said it was because the floor wasn't level. This should have been something that was taken care of PRIOR to completing the tile job and would have avoided half of the floor cracking. What professional lays tile on a floor that isn't level? When told about the issue, James claimed he would "take care of it" as soon as he had a chance and should have time sometime in the fall. This should have been "taken care of" in the fall of 2015! There has been zero communication from James since his initial response and, at this point, we wouldn't let him step foot in the house! Because my family took his word that he was licensed (in Nevada), we have no legal recourse. It's extremely unfortunate that not only was James not qualified to complete the job he was hired and paid for, he also doesn't stand behind his work and make things right! Because of this I would NEVER recommend him to anyone!

We approached G&S Construction about building on our lot and were immediately impressed with Garrick Terrell's professional attitude and astute knowledge of building in the Tahoe area. I did my due diligence and spoke to several sub-contractors, city employees, and local handymen and all of them highly recommended Garrick. My project was started during the time when inflation was creeping up, supply chain issues were abundant, the Caldor fire happened in the the middle of the permitting process and the worst winter storm in 40 plus years was challenging our completion time. Garrick navigated all these issues like a Pro. His experience and expertise really showed up when we needed it the most and that is when we knew we had the right man for our complex job! Garrick gave us great suggestions and recommendations that paid off big time. When building a custom home all kinds of details come into play and Garrick walked us through the details we missed and gave us good solid options to resolve the various issues. PG&E would come out and cut down dead trees, but just leave all the branches and logs... I tried for months to get them to remove them and constantly worried about fire hazards... I was so concerned about the cost to remove them along with being able to access them. I met with Drew and not only did he give me a good price, but he also repaired all the damaged asphalt and plumbing caused by multiple trees on the property. he completely restored our plumbing and water pressure and set us up with access to multiple outlets to ensure safety from any fire! He also got really creative and made several walkways with the pine trees that we would never have thought to do. I've truly never seen somebody so dedicated and persevere with such a difficult project and even helped to create a vision we did not have....
