The second project was in a garage conversion and installed in a timely manner. After the install I realized that the garage floors were about as level as the ocean in 3 foot seas I reached back out to them. Called to ask why the floors were installed and the level wasn't checked before install. LVT is has pretty strict tolerances the manufacture puts out to avoid failures down the line and to adhere to the manufacturers warranty. In prior houses the installers would check the level of the floors and perform the necessary steps to make sure the floors could be installed. Their initial quote included the following as well "Any unforeseen floor prep or labor will be determined upon installation and billed accordingly. " Someone from We'll Floor U came out after a couple calls and insisted the floors were fine and there would be no issues. Even as they watched a marble roll across two rooms at speed. They said they could remove the floor, level them and reinstall the floors. We would only have to pay for the leveling. Cool a couple $30-$50 dollar bags of leveler spread over a 20x40 room, shouldn't be that expensive. Nope, the quoted us a couple thousand dollars to spread the leveler. Clearly they were trying to charge us for their mistake. Needless to say it didn't happen. So here we are, patiently waiting for our LVT floors to separate and fail as we bounce up and down on the soft spots on the unlevel subfloor. Do yourself a favor and skip this place when shopping for new floors.

The carpet was removed and hauled away and the new flooring was installed. The floor is beautiful. We also bought new verticals for the living room and kitchen. Duane was wonderful as he answered all our questions and showed us samples that would go nicely with the new floor. It's like we have a new house! Owner Lou Morano is amazing! I wish all business owners were as good and honest as Lou. Yes, there were a couple of glitches, but that can happen no matter what you buy or where you buy it. But as soon as Lou was made aware he stepped in and solved the problem. And he followed up to make sure we are happy. And we are! We definitely recommend Capitol Carpet and Tile. They said yes and a repairman called and asked for pictures. He gave me a quote over the phone by text. When he arrived, the repairman told me the floor was not installed properly; a plastic backing was supposed to be laid down underneath it, which it wasn't, and that was causing the floor to warp. His words " your entire floor is wavy". He said the repair wasn't worth it because it would not last. I contacted the store directly while the repairman was here. The woman who took my call was very rude. She stated the warranty was up and there was nothing she could do for me. She said the installation manager wouldn't be in until the next day and I needed to call back. I explained the repairman was here now and she said the repairman could contact the installation manager. I asked her for the number of the installation manager so I could contact him directly. She said she could not transfer me; she was in a different city. Said she was like the "french fry girl at McDonalds" and she could not help me. I told her I didn't ask to be transferred, just give me his number and I will call him directly. Her response: "have a nice day!" and she hung up on me! Then the store called the repairman AND TOLD HIM TO GET MY PAYMENT IN FULL BEFORE STARTING THE JOB. And when he told me that I asked him for an invoice and he said he had no paperwork on him. What kind of operation is this? In my humble opinion, the warranty shouldn't be valid if the installation was done improperly. Their customer service is terrible! And no invoice? A price was given to me over a text message from the repairman. I asked if the repair carried a warranty and he didn't know. Sounds like they got my money and they don't want to deal with the shoddy work that was done. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL! I will NEVER give them my business now. He stood behind a floor that was verified by an independent National Flooring test to be defective when the manufacturer would not. This was at great financial loss to him since he did not bill us for anything when tearing up and replacing a sizable amount of wood flooring. If you think, well he should do that because the floor was defective, think again. Most companies would have some kind of charge back to you. Tom took care of moving all our furniture, adjusting things that needed to be adjusted to compensate for the new floor and his installer Alex did a beautiful job and was so neat and polite and quiet.
