We were told they couldn't provide that cuz then they would be out of soup. Okay... 1. It's your special of the week. Why isn't there enough for all your customers? 2. I understand that eventually you will run out. Why couldn't WE be the customers that you serve and then had no more soup? Then we say that we'll just take the one quart, if they could just divide it for us. Then they reply with THEY DON'T have enough containers. Like. What?! So we just order two bowls worth and leave. This is what I call business. I have no other words for it. They were super nice as they were providing bad service. And the place is clean. There is a lot for parking.

With a sign that clearly states donations accepted until 6:30 p.m. but when you walk in you're told they stopped accepting at 5:30 because their hours are different. The sign out front still says 6:30 and they would not take my two boxes. So I will not be donating there anymore. I'll go down the street to Goodwill

When I suggested a courtesy call so people don't have to sit around all day waiting, she replied "We're doing a free pickup. It is your responsibility to call us to get a time." I replied the items you are getting are free to you in which you sell and make money. She replied Yes but we don't call. Some people wouldn't respond when we called in the past so we don't call. I recommended automated calls and she again said we don't do that. I have donated to your organization many times and after this, I will not do so anymore. It is obvious that Salvation Army does not appreciate the people who donate and their employees are rude.

Protect your loved ones by warning them, reporting these unethical practices, and finding a reputable alternative. Don't become another victim of their deceitful tactics and outright scams. Here's just one example: We were charged a hefty fee for absolutely no work. Their truck couldn't navigate our driveway on a snowy day, and instead of rescheduling, they went ahead and billed us anyway. When we called to dispute the charge, we were met with pure arrogance--told that we "don't understand how their business works" and that we were required to pay, no matter what. They demanded an outrageous amount for literally nothing. It felt like a joke--except it wasn't. This company is clearly taking advantage of the elderly without remorse. We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and we encourage others to do the same. Do they honestly think they can just skip the work and still charge seniors? Absolutely disgusting.
