Phil's Friends is a wonderful organization who's goal is to bring comfort, love, and support to cancer patients. I received my box in 2017. I was so moved by the thought and caring that went through preparing my box. It was a moment I will never forget. It was a moment much needed, as I was feeling awful, depressed, and alone. I do not need to have hospital crap to remind me of my demise. Now I need to throw away a bible I did not ask for. I have asked them to remove me from the data base. The stress of this group is detrimental to my health. Profiting of me against my will. I'm sure a drug company gave them my info. How else would they get my info. read more

History

Established in 2017.

Expanded from our Hope Center in Roselle IL, the same mission is carried out in Crown Point IN. Phil's Friends supports those with cancer through care packages, cards of hope, hospital visits, and prayer.

Meet the Business Owner: Phil Z.

Phil Zielke was diagnosed with Stage 4B Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2004. Inspired on his hospital bed to come alongside others affected by cancer, Phil's Friends began supporting those with cancer in 2006 by way of care packages, encouraging cards, hospital visits, and prayer. Today, Phil's Friends engages thousands of volunteers, who in turn, enable the organization to support hundreds of thousands of our friends with cancer across the United States.

Predatory and Shameful - Stay Far Away!…read more It's appalling that a company like this exists--preying on seniors and profiting off their trust. DO NOT use their service. Protect your loved ones by warning them, reporting these unethical practices, and finding a reputable alternative. Don't become another victim of their deceitful tactics and outright scams. Here's just one example: We were charged a hefty fee for absolutely no work. Their truck couldn't navigate our driveway on a snowy day, and instead of rescheduling, they went ahead and billed us anyway. When we called to dispute the charge, we were met with pure arrogance--told that we "don't understand how their business works" and that we were required to pay, no matter what. They demanded an outrageous amount for literally nothing. It felt like a joke--except it wasn't. This company is clearly taking advantage of the elderly without remorse. We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and we encourage others to do the same. Do they honestly think they can just skip the work and still charge seniors? Absolutely disgusting.

I paid for it. before I even left the store while I was trying to put it on my wrist it broke. the arms literally crumbled at the hinge. Said they can't give me my money back and if I wanna find something else in the store I can, but if I wanted to find something else in the store, I would've brought it up to the register with me. Plus, I didn't have time to dig around that store looking for something I didn't really want nor could they give me an I owe you or a gift card or something for a later date. Phil's Friends sent my husband a care package and over 63 Cards of Hope during his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. It gave him Hope and he was so grateful to receive the care package and cards from adults, children & seniors. It made his journey more bearable and he knew so many people were praying for him. It's an Amazing Organization, When I am visiting the Chicagoland area I volunteer a day at Phil's Friends and we pray for all the cancer patients. read more
