The check engine light came on in our Class C motor home Ford E450 engine just outside of Fort Stockton, TX. We inquired at the campground when we checked in if there was a Ford dealer in Fort Stockton and was told no. However, the lady checking us in said she knew of a road service crew that could come and check it for us. We had run low on gas but had not run out of gas and thought maybe that was why the check engine light came on. We called the number she gave us and Alpha Tango Road service people showed up at the campground. They ran a scan and said the code said it missed fired. They cleared the check engine light, started it up again and the light was gone. They said everything was fine and it was probably because we were running low on gas. The next day when we started the engine, the check engine light came on again. We called Alpha Tango and were told everything showed good yesterday and if we drove for a few miles, the light would go off. That was utter nonsense. We started slowly loosing power. The further we went, the more power we lost. We finally stopped and found a place to camp. We took it to a place for service and found that we had several spark plugs that were misfiring due to misfiring of fuel rail wiring and spark plugs. We had to replace all 10 fuel ignition coils and spark plugs. What makes this a bad rating for Alpha Tango is they charged us $280 for just clearing the engine light and telling us that since we filled the gas tank, the check engine light would go off as we drove and the gas went through the system. We were broke down in our large RV. We asked our next stop RV park, Hilltop RV Park in Fort Stockton Tx, if they knew any mechanics. Alpha Tango was recommended and from the time we contacted them... it was all hands on deck. From the professional tow of our rig and flatbed trailer behind that, to Michael who coordinated everything, to the mechanics that dove into troubleshooting the moment we were unhooked at the RV park...it was a fantastic experience! My truck and horse trailer broke down 60 miles east of Fort Stockton. Michael was a great asset talking with me and continue to check on me through the process of trying to get to Fort Stockton when I arrived in Fort Stockton. He had a garage mechanics waiting for me at 8:30 PM on Saturday night offered assistance with getting my horses and the horse trailer to the fairgrounds. Had everything set up it's been years since I've seen this kind of service and general humanity of caring. When I give up on humanity, Alpha Tango restored my faith. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. My travel trailer blew a tire on Interstate 10. My insurance company's roadside assistance dept. gave me a huge run around. I am an older woman traveling solo and was stranded on the side of the road, in the middle of nowhere. For 6 hours the insurance company kept me out in the dark and cold assuring me that someone was coming to help. Finally after yelling and threatening to have them charged with reckless endangerment, they called Alpha Tango Roadside & Towing Assistance. Those guys were out there in 20 min. Micheal and his partner were very kind, mad that I'd been treated so badly, and incredibly knowledgeable. They quickly assessed the situation, and determinded that my camper did NOT need to be put up on a flat bed wrecker and taken to a shop in town as the insurance company had said. (This would have cost me hundreds and hundreds of dollars that I didn't have.) Instead, they replaced my tire and took my shredded rim to see if they could repair it enough to use on a new spare. Before the shop even opened in the morning they were out there working on it. Because of the location he had to tow the motorhome to one of his shop locations and started to work on it that evening. It turned out to be a somewhat time consuming fix but his crew finished the job in the morning (which happened to be a Sunday) and we were on our way. My husband and I were on our way for a getaway and 50+ miles east of Ft Stockton texas on I-10, our 2005 Chevy duramax diesel, towing a 24 ft trailer, quit at a rest stop. Cranked but wouldn't turn over. We were stuck in 95 degree heat, dead in the middle of no where. I got an oil change from this company. My car was new, it had been inspected 2 months prior and had not given any problems. Less than an hour later, while I was on the interstate, something began smelling heavily of burning, then my car lost speed and the 'check engine' light and others came on the dashboard. When I checked the engine, there was oil leaking everywhere. I called the same company to come and check it out, he was rude and shouted back at me even though I was very calmed for my condition. They charged me almost $1000 for coming to inspect the vehicle AND for the towing. They refused to accept responsibility and blame the cause on something else; and despite saying they could fix the issue, they did not and still wanted to charge me for it. I took my car to another mechanic who confirmed what I suspected. They had left the old oil in and poured the new one, so it overfilled. I had to pay thousands of dollars for a new engine. Do not use this company, they will ruin your car and charge hundreds of dollars! read more

I had dealt with a man by the name as Mike Palomino, this establishment is a total ripoff business. The company does not even have a license. The better business does not even have a rating on this guy because he is not licensed. I was traveling on the I10 and my truck broke down. I waited 10 hours for him to show up to my location. When he arrived he took 5 minutes to diagnose the problem with the truck. He stated that he had to have my truck towed into his shop. I asked him how long would the job take. Mike stated that it would be 2 days. This was including the same day. He said his diesel specialist had to further diagnose the problem. I asked him what it was going to cost me for the towing. He stated the entire job would not exceed a thousand dollars to include the cost of parts and labor. He dropped my wife and I at a motel and gave me the address to his shop. The following morning my wife and I walked 2 miles due to the fact that I could not contact Mike Palomino and upon arriving to the shop, the shop was closed. I walked across the road from the location and a man who owns the business across the street from Alpha Tango Road service stated that His place is never open. That location is not open for business. The was not a sign at the location. I contacted the State of Texas and that is how I found out the Mike Palomino did not have a license to operate in the state of Texas. I was starting to feel overwhelmed with the loss of my truck. I called him nonstop for 4 hours until Mike answered his phone. I asked him where my truck was. He had stated that the mechanic was on a test drive with it. I told him that I needed something from inside the truck so I could get access to the truck. He asked me what I needed and he would bring me my items from the truck. I insisted that I have to get inside of the truck. He told me to come by the shop the next day. I asked him if the truck was running why not just bring me the truck and I can get down the road. Mike stated that it was still loosing power. Mike stated that your truck will be done tomorrow morning. The following morning the 3rd day he showed up to the motel with the bill. He handed me the bill for 2500.00 plus the Tow bill. Total was $3400.00 I asked him to bring my wife and I to the shop. He said that he was heading to another call and he was not a taxi service. My wife insisted on walking the 2 miles to the shop. When we arrived my truck was outside without the keys. I called Mike back and he had left my truck keys in one of my tailpipes. My wife and I got the truck started and running for around three mile and it went dead again with the same issue. I tried to call Mike back but he never answered me back. I ended up taking it to another shop. Do not use Alpha Tango road service. He will highway rob you, literally. read more

These guys rock! After hiking in Big Bend Park all day, my family & I found ourselves stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire. We tried everything but the spare tire wouldn't release. We were on the side of the road between Pecos & Ft Stockton at 6:30pm & no one would stop to help. With zero cell signal, the Lord blessed us to call 911. They contacted Alpha Tango & Micael soon came to our rescue! Micael changed our tire in 5 mins & we quickly followed him to their garage and got a new tire by 8:30pm & were able to continue our vacation in Big Bend. Thanks guys! read more

This Roadside service is a scam. They only take cash and checks so you can not get your money back for poor quality service and misdiagnoses. They charge you $95 to come out and $175 an hour for diagnostic that can last for hours. They talk you out of towing the vehicle to the certified mechanic and encourage you to use their service for diagnostic on the road so according to them you can save money and fix vehicle issues on the spot. The person "Miguel" that came out misdiagnosed the vehicle issue that according to Miguel would cost us thousands of dollars in parts and days of waiting for parts and hours of his labor at $175/ hour. Then he tells you that you have to pay up, his job is done. After this, we called local certified mechanic for second opinion, who towed the vehicle in and fixed the simple issue in 20 minutes. We called "Miguel" back to share our founding and his misdiagnosis, where he got rude , refused to accept responsibility and blamed the cause on something else and hang up the phone.
