They have very poor communication skills and never have answers to anything I ask. This greatly effects my child as they are always confused , never know their teachers names and sometimes mornings are so rough because they refuse to go. I have friends who take their children to other locations and have had bad experiences as well. I do not recommend Alphabet Learning Center.

The teachers are bright, friendly and very caring. They have various activities include guest teachers teaching everything from yoga, music, science and more. My nephew has learned so much! This review pertains to a period of time, pre-pandemic, when my son attended Crème de la Crème in…read moreWestmont. Be warned - my son nearly died as a result. If it weren't for the life support he received during the week he spent in a pediatric ICU, he would have died. We didn't know what we were doing in terms of picking out a daycare. There were several baby swings and chairs in the infant room at Crème de la Crème, which should have been a major "no go" sign, but we did not know. There was only one teacher assigned to the infant room. Another "no go" sign, but we did not know. We really liked that teacher, though, and let's face it - all of the other daycares had wait lists of ~6-12 months. Crème de la Crème had no waitlist - we thought we were in luck (although that is not how it panned out), so we signed him up for Crème de la Crème. The problem is that each day, in the mid-afternoon, all babies in the infant room were moved into a "catch all" room with ALL OF THE OTHER KIDS (possibly including kids in the after-school program - I am not sure about that, though - might have been only the daycare kids). So our son caught RSV, norovirus, enterovirus, and maybe a few other things ALL AT ONCE. That is too much for a 6-month old to handle and he would have died were it not for the excellent pediatric ICU in Naperville. He still wheezes and we need to have albuterol on hand at all times. The doctors predict that the resulting lung damage will last for many years. We obviously did not send him back to Crème de la Crème when he got out of the hospital. All of this occurred years ago, before the pandemic, and it could be that Crème de la Crème no longer puts the infants into the "catch all" room. Please dig into this with Crème de la Crème before sending an infant there. More to consider: We never spoke of Crème de la Crème with that child. When I was pregnant with our second, I asked our first if there was anything we did during his first years that he liked and we should be sure to do with our second child. He said, "No" - gotta love kids.... I then asked him if there was anything we did wrong that we should be sure not to do again. He said, emphatically, "Do not send him to that school where they just put you in a chair all day!" His experience at Crème de la Crème was so bad that he remembered it years later, even though he attended only from 4-6 months of age. Later I came across a picture of him (in a chair, of course) at Crème de la Crème. I showed it to him. He confirmed that it was the "bad" school, and asked why the "big kids who would run by and kick him" were not in the photo. We did know that something was wrong while the child was attending Crème de la Crème. Each day, he was dead behind the eyes when we picked him up. It took about an hour of interacting with him for him to start communicating with us again (by smiling, etc. - he typically had a ready smile at that age). We were already trying to get him into a different daycare when he fell ill. This is a much-delayed PSA. I should have written it years ago, but I really did not want to relive it. I don't want other babies to suffer, though, so here it is. My son's experience was not due to a single teacher, or even a group of teachers, who might have been replaced since then. It happened because the infants were thrown into a room with all the other kids mid-afternoon, to stay until picked up - as late as 6:30 pm. That is hours and hours of exposure to illness and abuse from the older kids, evidently with inadequate supervision. Edited to add: I appreciate the response from Crème de la Crème. I will call when I have the time to do so. My husband and I have very time-consuming jobs, hence the need for daycare. I also need to build up the mental strength to withstand another psychological re-living of the near death of our first child at 6 months of age. Writing the above review was traumatic enough. I swear that it is all true, that I have provided in the review all of the information that seems to be pertinent (other than perhaps the name of the teacher in the infant room at the time, but I do not believe that she was the direct cause of any of the negative experiences detailed in the review), and that my only nexus with Crème de la Crème was the ~2 months that my son was enrolled there.

There were multiple times when my son came home with small marks on his face, and I was not given an explanation as to how they kept occurring. After I brought these concerns to the center's attention, those incidents appeared to stop. While I appreciate that the concern was addressed once it was brought forward, it added to my overall concern regarding my son's safety and supervision while in their care.My biggest concern was my son's head injury and the response following the incident. After reviewing the video, I became concerned about what occurred and how the situation was documented by the teacher.The incident report written by my son's teacher, stated that my son started to hit her and that she raised her hands to stop him, which caused him to fall. However, after reviewing the video, that is not what occurred.What the video showed was my son running up to the teacher in a playful manner. He placed his hand on her stomach area, appearing as though he wanted to be picked up, and his hand was there for only a moment or two when then Ms.karlie grabbed both of his hands, my son slightly leaned back, and she then let go of both of his hands while staring directly at him . There was no attempt to even try to catch him as he was falling backwards. As an adult supervising a young child, I would expect that a 39 pound child's weight shifting backward would be noticeable, especially while holding onto their hands. This is why I was concerned that his hands were released while he was leaning back, resulting in him falling backward and hitting the back of his head causing a shell to pierce through his head and bleed. The video did not show my son being aggressive or attempting to hit her, and it did not show her raising her hands to block him as described in the report she wrote .After he fell, the video showed my son crying holding his head and walking back toward the teacher to be consoled. What was concerning to me was that his head was not immediately checked after the fall, and staff did not appear to realize that he had a bleeding injury until later. As a parent, I would expect an immediate assessment after a child hits the back of their head as well as me being directly notified of an head injury that involved him falling straight back on his head. What was most concerning to me was that, after the owner reviewed the information, she did not acknowledge the discrepancy between what the teacher stated and the video or address my concerns regarding the inaccurate account that had been documented by the teacher. This made me feel that the seriousness of the situation and the impact of an inaccurate report involving my child were not fully recognized. I was also concerned when my son came home telling me that his hair "looked crazy." While this may seem like a small comment, it raised concerns for me as a parent because I wondered where my 2 year heard that and whether comments were being made about his appearance while he was at school.Recently, my son has also started crying at drop off. The concerns I experienced, including the incident report and the comment regarding his hair, made me question whether my son's individuality and differences were being fully respected while in their care.I contacted the center regarding my deposit and explained that, due to the incident, I did not feel comfortable keeping my child their for the required two-week notice period . I reached out to discuss receiving my deposit back, but I never received a response back or any follow-up regarding my request from the owner.As a parent, my child's safety and being able to trust the people caring for him are my top priorities. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling unheard and uncomfortable continuing care at this center

They made the transition from infant to toddler room as easy as possible and were so patient with us (first time mom over here). They handled incidents with care and sensitivity - things do happen but Premier handled the incidents carefully and were always transparent. All of the teachers, aids, and office staff know the kids so well. My son lights up when we walk in and the front desk staff greet him everyday like he's royalty!! We are moving and I am devastated to pull our son from here. Highly recommend!

Methodist preschool has been a wonderful start to our "school years" for our kids. My son started…read morein PDO when he was 2 1/2. This was the first place he stayed by himself and I felt comfortable bringing him here 1 morning a week to play and interact with other kids while I could run a few errands or go to a doctor's appointment with my other little one. The staff was so warm and friendly that by the time he started 3 year old preschool the other teachers and staff knew him. It was wonderful having him progress and feel comfortable b/c it was in the same building and same faces and routine. Methodist does a friendly drop off system where teachers will come help the kids out of the car. So on those rainy or bad weather days you don't want to get your other younger ones out of the car you can. Most days I walk the kids in to the classrooms. The staff is always nice and says "Hi" to all my kids. I've met a lot of other Mom's this way which is nice when you are new to the neighborhood and have young kids. The Director is extremely friendly and inviting. Once in the preschool the teachers are sweet to all the kids and class sizes are small. The 3 year olds and 4 year old classes both do field trips (with the parents) which is a nice to meet other parents and see the children interact. They also offer a "special guest day" to allow Dads, or grandparents to come see the preschool with the children. The enrichment programs are outstanding. My kids look forward to them, never complain school is too long, and learn amazing stuff. They mix with lots of different kids and teachers. My son has learned a lot of scientific terms and comes home with interesting projects. I'm impressed with the scientific understanding he has and how he can explain it to us. They offer a "lunch bunch" after preschool to link the enrichment programs which makes it a great way to prepare them for "All day kindergarten" in a comfortable environment. We have had a great experience with Methodist and look forward to many more happy years there as our other children grow up

Methodist Preschool is my childrens' home away from home. All four of my daughters have learned to…read morelove school and to love learning in the caring and supportive environment that has been created at Methodist. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the teaching staff, the support personnel and the director. They truly care about the children and it shows on all the smiles of the kids, teachers and parents at pick up and drop off times. Speaking of drop off, you don't even need to leave your car in the morning! They have teachers and support personnel that help your kid out of their car seat and into the front door of the school for you. This is a huge help, especially when you have other little ones in the car with you. My daughters have attended PDO (age 2+, no need to be potty trained!) and the 3's classes and 4's classes in the preschool, so we have been fortunate to experience both the PDO and preschool programs as well as enrichment classes (art and science being some of their favorites!) This school offers so much to kids and has flexible scheduling for families including an early morning bridge program and "lunch bunch." We felt very well prepared for full-day kindergarten after doing preschool-lunch bunch-enrichment days once or twice a week where kids are in school from 8:45-3pm. During winter and spring breaks, my daughters will ask daily "is it time to go to school?" and I have to disappoint them by telling them they have the week off. I think that says it all! This program has been wonderful for our family and I encourage all preschool age families to go and take a tour!
