I called ahead after finding Upper Lakes' info and explained my situation to the gentleman who answered. He told me to keep driving and he would hold some of his crew past closing time (if needed) to make sure we wouldn't be stranded. As promised, when I pulled up, he and 3 other guys were waiting. They promptly pulled my tire off to start inspecting it for leaks while also checking all of the other tires. A faulty valve stem was discovered and everything was broken down and repaired in a short amount of time. All the while, the whole crew chatted with my 2 toddlers who had already had enough car seat time at that point. Soon, we were back in the truck and headed North. We called many places and everyone was closing at noon and couldn't help. We finally found N&J and when we called Norm answered, heard our issue and said he could fix it that day assuming it wasn't something beyond the brake line. It was towed to them using our AAA program and between Norm and Joey they quickly started on the issue for us. After replacing the line, bleeding the brakes (sorry Norm, I know on my Chevy that is a pain....) and 2.5 hours later I was on my way. $312 was one heck of a value for out of towners desperate to continue on to our final vacation destination in the U.P. Reading the negative reviews I have to wonder if those people really appreciate being helped in the worst of situations. This shop and specifically Norm and Joey were outstanding, friendly and very kind. Labor rates are determined by looking them up in a book. You can't miss it by 40%. I was also grossly overcharged for a 10 mile tow ($250). They saw the out of state plate and took full advantage. I am writing to the state attorney general to have them look into their records for similar rip offs of out of state vehicles.

After talking to our dealership, they said Feeny should love this kind of work since they will be getting paid from another dealership and it's warrantied work from them. We called back to speak to a manager once we talked to our dealer, and he told us the same thing. "It's a Canadian vehicle so we can't help you." They only suggestion they gave us was to go to muffler man which is closed today. Whether they could actually help us or not, they need to improve on their customer service and explaining things since they left us with no explanation of why they couldn't help us beyond the fact that they were busy.

It is expensive was their answer. Of course they are changing their tune now trying to blame it on me. Going on since January and despite multiple phone calls and talking with owner they will not honor the warranty! Also, many times I would try to make an appointment for a repair and often it would take 1-2 weeks to get an appointment! Is this because it takes 3 visits for them to do a simple repair? Is it because the cars they sell break down that much? Is it because they know I have a warranty they wish not to honor? Not sure but either way not good! She asked if they could fix it and he looked at her like she was stupid. Told her No.. they were 6-8 weeks out on service and to take it to a local dealership since we live two hours south. I called our nearest dealership and they said no problem and got here in three days later and fixed on the next day. Maybe if you're so far behind on service you need to be open a few more hours to catch up. Just saying, think twice about purchasing your vehicle here. All the employees are friendly. This time I took my Spyder in for the first oil change and a recall. It was done in about 2 hours. Meanwhile, I went shopping. I've purchased accessories from them and even bought my Spyder from them. They have a nice selection of new and used vehicles for summer and winter. On the show floor they have a very pretty blue 2012 Spyder I admired. Mines a 2020 so I'm not in the market, but that 2012 looked well cared for. Motorcycles not your thing they've got UTVs, ATVs, snowmobiles, jet skis. Heck they even have kids' size ATVs and UTVs. I got a kick out of one of the staff moving around a kid's UTV. He had to pry himself out.
