We were given a menu about what the choices were for breakfast; I must say everything was absolutely fantastic. Good , clean, healthy and diverse choices for what you'd like to eat. While eating breakfast we were asked if we'd like recommendations for the day which they had printed out and very clear which was very nice. The place itself was beautiful and felt like a home away from home. We will definitely be back.

Stay at this B&B was not just a small part of our trip, but actually the best part! Truly one of the rare true B&Bs unlike some other which do not offer full experience. Amenities were on the level of a 5 star hotel, can feel the care taken. Location wise, it is an ideal location to Marathon, Marfa, Mc Donald Observatory, and Big Bend National Park. Also, if you're looking for the best food on your Big Bend trip, you do not have any other choice than to stay here. Sharon's breakfast was delicious!

The locals could not have been more warm and friendly, even the local reptiles are calm and friendly. (See photo) I had a flat tire during my stay and it was minutes before I had a smiling local offering to help me air my tire back up. Having a fresh organic food truck steps away from the Bottle House was the greatest surprise. It's like having your own personal chef on call. I was so pleased to have delicious healthy food options near. The scenery surrounding the Bottle House is nothing short of breathtaking. On my drive into West Texas from Austin I literally gasped at the sight of such beauty once I hit the West Texas mountainous landscape. I was in awe. The beautiful natural landscape is captivating and can be admired while driving into town and from your front porch. Alpine is a treasure. It is a beautiful quick drive to Marfa from the Bottle House. I had planned on making day trips to Marfa several days of my stay but ended up enjoying relaxing and exploring Alpine so much that I had to extend my trip by a day to give myself a chance to see Marfa. I couldn't get enough of how charming this BnB is. Liz has thought of absolutely everything one could need to be made comfortable and feel completely at home. I can't wait to visit Alpine and The Bottle House again next time I'm in need of a peaceful retreat, full of natural beauty and friendly faces.

Who knew we would find such a hidden gem in the middle of West Texas! This a great boutique style hotel with a West Texas eclectic vibe. It felt like we were in an old western town hotel (but with better sheets and furnishings) It was incredibly clean and cozy (which is a biggie for me) and the staff was amazing, genuinely welcoming and ready to attend to our needs! The hotel does sit right above the restaurant so it was super convenient to head down, grab some grub and a drink and listen to some live music. Oh yeah...the food was amazing by the way...order the Monica's lemon pound cake...it will change your life! Something to note is there is live music (which we expected) so plan take it all in for the evening. We'll definitely be back and stay here again when we are passing through! We had zero issues booking and Chris communicated with us the entire time. When we arrive at 1030pm, imwe were able to get in through pre arranged instructions. Hey to our room, shower and crash out. It was nice. Room 208 comes with two full beds. The room is temp controlled. It has a flat screen TV - it ages me to know if a time when they weren't all flat screens. The room sits over the bar, but to be honest, I knew that and didn't care. The showers were hot, the pillows were soft, and the though being on the main drag, my family and I were safe and sound. A/C unit was mounted low and right beside the bed, so if one of you sleeps warm and the other cool it works out well. Kitchen is clean and tidy, laundry is $1.00 per load (quarters) and washer and dryer work well. Parking is spacious and well shaded. The courtyard area is one of the greatest assets, if you enjoy sitting outside in the mornings and drinking coffee, this is the place you will want to stay. very well-maintained with nice foliage. The hosts are the friendliest folks and very hospitable.
