First class; an unexpected jewel in the Desert. Only locally own hotel and woman owed business. Covid precautions utilized here by staff and except from obvious Texans, most guest complied with the basic. Cannot say the same for the restaurant, where clearly faith prevents illness. What a score! My travel buddy did all the research and nailed it with this spot. So many details. This hotel has all the good things you would expect from a quality spot but takes the extra special touches so much higher. The decor is unique in a spot on way. I loved the metallic painted ceilings that created such a cool effect as you walked down the halls, especially around dawn and dusk. The mirrors in the Lobby capture your eye while brightening the room in a glamorous fashion. While I did not get to indulge in a Spa treatment, the specialty made lotions, shampoo & conditioner in generous portions was a welcomed treat. While the pool was sooo tempting, I found myself falling asleep early in the evening in those super comfy beds. We did have one take out meal outdoors in the shaded sitting area by the pool. Nice spot to watch the evening sky change. It can be a bit windy. Morning breakfast was excellent. While it looks like any basic continental set up, the biscuits were perfect. Every morning was a slightly different offering. Great morning start. Again, if they look like Texans, there will not be any mask wearing or social distance plus a bit of side eye. - adjust your risk assessment accordingly. read more

The staff at Hotel Parker are unmatched! I spent four nights in the hotel with my pup after a car accident in the area and they went above and beyond to make us comfortable as I navigated the crisis. I actually cried tears of gratitude multiple times. It might have been the shock, but I'm pretty sure it was the amazingly kind management, front desk staff, housekeeps, and laundry folks. For the price, the quality of our stay was not expected. We were so impressed by this hotel. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The beds are super comfortable and the room we stayed in was very clean and tidy, plus the decor was lovely. We also really enjoyed the pool area. The pool is slightly heated and covered, the jacuzzi is relaxing, and there are electric fire pits available at the turn of a knob. It is open until 10 which is nice when we had a long day exploring the area and wanted to come home to a relaxing time at the jacuzzi. All in all, you should definitely stay here! We are very pleased with our stay and will definitely recommend the hotel to friends who may visit Alpine in the future. read more

What a nice place to stay during our trip to Big Bend! The outside does not do the place justice. The rustic vibe inside is adorable. The rooms were clean and well stocked with upscale shampoo, conditioner, soap & lotion. They had a nice continental breakfast each morning that we filled up on. It was cold when we visited, but we enjoyed the area where the pool (indoor, but with a roll up windowed garage door), and hot tub were. They have the most comfortable oversized outdoor chairs that were situated around a fire pit. They had 2 or 3 fire pits. From the hot tub area you get a beautiful view of the stars! In another area, towards the back of the property, was a building I think you could rent that had those windowed garage doors surrounding it. There was also a big bbq pit by it. Some other people were bbqing and sitting in the area one night. Across the parking lot is a restaurant owned by the hotel that is very good. I wish we had gone there in the evening to enjoy the sunset on their back porch. They seemed super pet friendly and we brought our black lab and shih tsu with us. There is a grassy area on one side for the dogs, and a little paved area to walk them at the back of the property. We wish we had time to enjoy the spa. It looked wonderful! If we ever end up in this part of Texas again, I will definitely be staying at Circle Quarter 7 Hotel. read more

Stopover in Alpine on our way to Austin. Nice location just outside of downtown just across the street from Big Bend Brewing. Formerly the Ramada. New owners as of early 2016 are a long time area ranching family with a background in hospitality. Nice renovation. Rooms are neat, good sized with western decoration touches. There's a sliding external "barn door" separating the bathroom from the rest of the room. A novel solution, since a hinged door would seriously mess up accessibility. Room and facility very clean. Breakfast included in room price. Enough to get you going in the morning. Coffee always available in the morning. Small commissary off the lobby. Staff helpful and friendly. Support local business and stay here. A nice place to stay for exploring for the Big Bend region. read more

They charged our card then said it did not go through. So, we gave them another card; they charged it and then said it did not go through. Well, both cards went through and we were charged double with additional charges. The was not cleared up before we checked out and left. And, now, with our money tied up in these transactions, we had to cut our trip short and go home. I will never recommend or stay here again. read more

Super cute hidden gem in Alpine. I normally would have driven past this place as it looks like a Quality Inn or something of the like, but whoever owns this place has put in a lot of work and has completely overhauled this location. Everything is redone and decorated impeccably. We originally stopped in to stay a night and head on to the next place during our road trip, but after staying one night we decided to stay another 2 nights and drive to our destinations as Alpine was very central to several of the things we had in our agenda. The only complaint we had was that the hot tub turned off every 15mins and the timer was so far away (inside the pool house) and on a cool/cold night I could see it being an even bigger issue. The front desk staff and the breakfast staff were all so friendly! We plan to visit again as there were so many things we did not get to do because of closures due to COVID. read more

I've been staying here for a long period of time, and I can honestly say that this one of the most accommodating hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms are very nice and well taken care of. The staff is always friendly and always go above and beyond. The beds are very comfortable and the decorations fit the Alpine scenery. From most of the rooms the views can be spectacular, and the pool is always a bonus. If you feel like enjoying a spa visit while you were staying there, there's even a spa on the premise. Nice ambiance for a renovated Ramada Inn. Beds clean and comfortable as are the rooms. The Hummingbird Farms lotions and bath products were awesome. My wife has become a big fan of those. The breakfast was as expected. With all of the great spots in town to eat we did not stick around for the food. We will return. read more

Spent a wonderful 4 day weekend with my HOG Chapter. Katherine and her staff were very accommodating. The photos are accurate but misleading. TV faces the bed and there are no chairs to watch TV. The leather chairs from the photos are too big for normal people (even with a pillow), 2 hangers in the closet, sink outside the bathroom and the BR has a sliding barn door. Toilet paper was inconveniently located behind your back so to speak so you had to twist to access. Bed was fine but the refrigerator in the room was sort of odd and very obvious but did have a nice freezer should you need one. Breakfast was limited, very limited and the breakfast area was cheap looking. It was a clean room, nice pool and work out area though so all in all a mixed bag for an old Ramada. Could use some trash containers at the entrances. Big issue was condescending attitude of the evening clerk on 8/24/18 who said he would mention leaving the AC running for people checking in to the housekeeping staff. THE ROOM WAS HOT when we checked in- this is Texas in the summer! Lid to the ice container was dirty. Next time I will stay at the Hampton across the street for the $160 we paid for the night. read more

As we arrived in Alpine, we needed a hotel that would accept pets. I'm usually wary of local hotels as the level of accommodation is a bit more unknown. We arrived at this hotel and it exceeded all expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; they took great care of my family. The rooms are clean and kept up very well. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is stocked with excellent soaps, shampoos, conditioner, and lotion. Even though Alpine has a Hampton Inn and a Holiday Inn Express, I would choose this hotel every time going forwards. I couldn't more strongly recommend this hotel. read more

I highly recommend the Quarter Circle. Spent Spring Break 2018 there. Hotel was immaculate. Staff was superb...especially Karen at front desk. Breakfast was ample each morning. A small, but impressive item...the soap, shampoo and conditioner are high-end...really nice after a long day. Pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all. Finally, the location is really good - across from the Big Bend Brewery, next to two restaurants and close to BB park, Marfa, Ft. Davis, Observatory, etc. I highly recommend this hotel if you plan to be in the area. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The reviews were good and the price was great, but the hotel was very disappointing. To start the web page "implies" that there is a bar, there is not. The web page also says that a restaurant will be coming soon, I don't know when that was written but there is no restaurant, there are really no restaurants in Alpine at all. The web page says there is a spa, there is no spa. The hotel has been updated, but cheaply. They replaced the bathroom doors with HEAVY and loud barn doors. If you need to use the bathroom In the middle of the night you will wake everyone up, if you even have the strength to open the door. We are on the second floor and the floor in the bathroom creaks really bad. They do not do a good job of maintaining the hotel. The side doors were propped open all the time because they only securely close if you pull them shut. The rooms were never cleaned. At first I thought they just did a sloppy job cleaning, but after the second day, it was clear that they ONLY make the beds daily. They do not change the sheets or clean the bathroom sink or tub, nor do they vacuum. When we arrived they was a broken pill capsule on the floor that my son picked up. We had to wait in line for 20 minutes to check in because the process takes so long. They make you sign a lengthy paper agreeing to pay for any damage, or if you bring a pet in. They also make you agree in writing to them coming in your room "to check it" even if you have the do not disturb sign up. Stay away! This place is not worth it. read more

Beautiful and clean - obviously a recent refurbish and done right. Front desk went out of their way to make our 4 night visit a great one. In the refurb, they added a beautiful enclosed pool with fitness center and a glass enclosed "event" building. This is a great location to stage from for visiting the Big Bend Country as we did. read more

Nice, just on edge of town nestled to view twin peaks and more. Was there for two nights during spring break week for sports event. Rooms comfortable and clean. Was on second floor. If you cant climb short stairs suggest to reserve 1st floor, no elevator. Vanity and sink separate area from toilet/shower and smaller but still was comfortable. Didnt use exercise facility but seemed really nice. Hot Breakfast included was good. They have a pavilion for larger function needs but didnt use ourselves. Staff was very accommodating.
