We came in for a well visit for our daughter and discussed a few items with our doctor one of which was stomach issues which she was having for a few weeks to that point. Since this was a large concern of ours we asked for a CAT scan just to make sure everything is okay. Again this may be overboard possibly but we just want to make sure nothing major is going on. The doctor deterred our concern and said it will likely go away and the CAT scan isn't necessary. Well it's been over a month since that visit and our daughter is still complaining about her stomach. I call in to the office to get a referral at this point and what does the doctor say. We need to come in for another appointment and not only that but the representative said the stomach issues weren't even noted in her medical records. Im a business owner myself and to me this seems like a bit of a cash grab considering they're requiring another visit to discuss something we've already talked about (though apparently we didn't?? Hmm). One other cash grab item that disturbed me last visit was a cholesterol scan they 'recommended' but no one told us the results until we asked?? I went on yelp to find a Dr. immediately after that appointment and came across Carmel Valley Pediatrics. Our first appointment with Dr. D was amazing. She was so sweet, nurturing and really made me feel comfortable as a new mom! She always has time for questions, and as new parents we ask tons of dumb questions and she's always is so sweet and so helpful and makes us feel so supported. I appreciate that their aim is to keep their patient roster relatively small, so that they can really focus on patient care. The location is freeway close, however parking can be a pain. When driving into the office complex, the signage may lead you to the left, but their assigned parking spaces are to the right. The spaces are pretty cramped everywhere, so trying to get your door fully opened to get to baby's carseat can be a challenge. It was our first visit here to the new location, and so far so good!

He's very knowledge and compassionate. Our first time with my newborn he answered all our questions and didn't force any vaccines on him. Our second visit was when my baby had a pulled elbow and couldn't move his arm so we rushed to him and even though he was closing and in a hurry to a meeting he agreed to see us anyway. In less than 5 minutes my baby was laughing and moving his arm again. He has so much experience and is always keeping up-to-date. I also never have to worry about him ripping us off like other pediatricians or giving us unnecessary medicine. His office is always full though because he does walk in's during the day so I would definitely make an appointment if it's not urgent. I'm so thankful for all his done for my son.
