Absolutely 5-star service from Tom Bryant and All-American Hearing Center. I'm 68 years old and…read moresuffered with hearing loss for many, many years. Years of ear infections and loud music in the 70's and 80's took a toll but I didn't realize how bad it had gotten until my husband finally had enough of me saying "what?" or ignoring him because I couldn't hear him. During the mask wearing days of Covid, I learned just how much I depended on lip reading. Tom tested my hearing a month ago and recommended hearing aids, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE THEY'VE MADE IN MY LIFE! No more missing out on conversations, struggling to hear in a restaurant, withdrawing from social events because it was difficult. Tom is so knowledgeable, helpful and patient and I feel like he gave me a big part of my life back. Cannot say enough good things about him and his company! (and no one can tell I have them because they're so inconspicuous!)

When my husband finally agreed to have the hearing aids after many years of denial that he didn't…read moreneed them, we were so happy to have found Tom Bryant in Boone. Tom was very professional and guided us through the process of choosing the hearing aids my husband needed. My husband no longer fell asleep at social gatherings and best of all, I didn't have to listen to his loud TV sounds. Tom provided excellent warranty services and took care of any problems came about. He is always easy to contact, and we never waited long for appointments. I am also taking my mother to him although we now live near Durham.

I used this place as my primary care provider when I moved to Boone. The receptionists were always…read morehelpful and kind. Their waiting room is nice and they have a charging station for all of your electronic devices. I would definitely recommend! My provider was Stephanie Walker, FNP. I really liked her a lot and found that she was knowledgeable and treated me with respect. Her medical team of nurses and assistants took their time to listen to my needs every time I came in for a visit. **Of note, I just stopped by to gather some medical records and was informed that she no longer works there and instead moved to a new location in the area. This is not really a concern for me, given my flexibility with medical providers, though I find it a little odd I was not informed of this prior to her move... Also, I know others who become really attached to providers and might find this seriously upsetting. Maybe they attempted to reach out by phone or email or mail, but I didn't receive anything?

I was treated at Appalachian regional this morning 3/30/24. I had an acute cough, body aches and…read morechills. The appointment was very easy to make, the reception desk young man very pleasant, the nurse who did the triage was caring professional and understanding. So far it was the treatment we've come to expect from this health system as we've been patients for over a decade., and it certainly lived up to our expectations. Dr McCracken came in in a reasonable time did the perfunctory exam left the room came back to tell us about meds he was prescribing. He was just a satisfactory physician, though I'd have preferred he didn't breeze through the exam (the waiting room was empty and stayed that way during the entirety of our visit so he wasn't rushing to the next patient.) My particular issue is with the summary of the visit which we are privy to. He summed me up as an "overweight elderly ill woman". Now, though I fancy myself as my 20 something active trim self I AM in fact carrying those extra pounds at 70 years old...NOTHING that would put me at the overweight limit. I eat healthfully, exercise daily and take great care with my appearance. This is not a vanity issue but I have dealt with food issues and eating disorders since my early teens. Reading this could have nearly sent me to a spiral but I'm strong now. What if it was in the chart if a young girl dealing with the same? Now that records are available I would suggest that this medical provider brush up on his people skills. You may be younger Dr McCracken but 70 is NOT elderly anymore.
