This shop solved a big problem for me. I was traveling with a bike locked onto my roof carrier with a cable. The key was damaged and I couldn't remove the lock and bicycle. Buyer beware. Wanted to overcharge me for a key. I told him no. I asked him to make a simpler key, he did. Looked at it could tell right away it was cut incorrectly when holding two keys side by side. Glad I didn't let him cut the more expensive key. If he had said $20 I would not of had a problem. AL is probably just incompetent. Luckily capitalism has a fix for that :). I went to AL's with a broken front door lock. He said he could fix it but was very abrasive. He made it sound like it would be fixed the next day, two days later I went in and he had forgotten all about it. I went in Monday and still wasn't done but he promised it would be done that day. I went in just before closing time and guess what? It wasn't done. I took the lock back into my possession and went to Medford on Tuesday a locksmith there had it fixed in 10 min and for 20 bucks! Don't go to this place! The guys a jerk, a liar with a very poor customer service. Absolutely horrible. read more

Very rude. We needed a key fob for our car done. I got a new one off ebay from a seller with very good feedback, since it was way less than one from Dodge. He rudely said he does not do keys off ebay, since half of them are bad and will net be programmable. Would not even let us take the risk, since we are paying. Not only did he give me a lot of attitude, he refused to cut the key that I have because "it didnt fit in the machine." Then I went to Walmart, they did it perfectly fine without problems. First of all, I work in customer service. You need many lessons on how to talk and act with customers. Second, if you arent going to cut the keys or refuse service, I think you need to stay with unlocking cars since that is the only reviews that you really have. Hi, I am Julia. Al of Al's Locksmithing deserted the community during one of our most dangerous winter storms. What is worse he deserted one of our disabled during dangerous weather. Al was called by AAA to unlock a Subaru on Joanne's ranch near Keno. The Subaru is the only means of transportation for Kathy, Joanne's daughter. It is a lifeline. There were raised hopes the keys were in the car and not lost in the snow. Al showed up and said that he did not want to walk through the snow to unlock the vehicle. He also told Kathy that she would have to be outside next to the car for him to service it. Kathy is completely disabled. She has a titanium rod running the length of her spine. Walking in good weather is a challenge for her. Al could have said, "Kathy, I'll need to come in for your signature." Instead, he became angry and made up stories in his head to justify his abandonment of duty. During extraordinary times, we need our emergency personnel to do their jobs, especially for our disabled. M&C towing filled in for Al's Locksmith, it took less than 5 minutes to unlock the car. Al's demanding that Kathy, a cripple person meet him outside is abhorrent. Al's refusal to work in snow during our January 2017 snow storm put a strain on the towing services, so direly needed across our community. I do not know why Al was so hoity-toity. I am sure he had circumstances that were indeed shocking. However, that does not excuse his tossing honesty aside for the exploitation of a disabled person's inability to walk. I have been known to have some pretty funny blonde moments and last night quite possibly could have been my funniest to date. Around ten at night, I excitedly walked out my front door so I could go grab some grub. I locked the inner lock and shut the door, imagining the juicy burger and crispy fries filling my tummy. As soon as the door was shut, I realized I forgot my keys on the kitchen counter. I am new to the area, so I really didn't have anywhere to go. As I was standing outside in my pajamas and Red Sox slippers, I began to freak out. I called trusty AAA, hoping there was something they could do to help me before I developed hypothermia. They told me they could recommend me to a locksmith. Enter Al, who got out of bed and sped over to save the day. Fifteen minutes and $50 later, I was safe and sound in my apartment. If it wasn't for Al, I quite possibly could still be outside of my apartment turning into a snowman and I never would have gotten to the restaurant before it closed. read more
