I needed a replacement key for my late husband's truck. I called the shop and answered questions about ownership and the title. They couldn't verify over the phone, but were prompt in taking down the necessary information when I arrived and we made arrangements for having someone come to the house to complete the work. Tysen called and texted that he was running ahead of schedule, but made sure it would work for me. He showed up with the truck and finished grinding it within 10 minutes. *DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE! Would give 0 stars if possible. Purchased 3 keys from this place 10/8/24. 3 copies of my house key. I returned home and tried to use said key that was made and the key got stuck in my door nob and damaged the lock on the door nob. I could not get the key to remove for about 20 minutes, I was finally able to finagle the key out of the lock hole which damaged the inner center of the lock. I contacted bear creek lock and safe, and spoke to the manager Chris, about a resolution and his reply is: 1. I take my door nob off my FRONT DOOR to my house and take it down to them so they can look at it (meanwhile how is my door going to close and stay closed while I leave to take the door nob down there? I have pets that could get out the door). 2. They could come to my house and look at my door nob but I'd be charged a service fee for them coming to my house. 3. He stated I could've called them at the time thier key was stuck in my door, which again would've resulted in me paying a service charge for them coming to my house. Chris claims they warranty thier keys, but this is far from any kind of warranty. They didn't make the key correctly so it got stuck in my door nob and damaged it beyond repair, so now I'm out the 3 keys I purchased from them and now have to replace my door nob again due to damages from thier key, when I just replaced it 5 days ago. This is my 2nd time doing business with this company and each time I've gone in there, they quality of the keys, and the quality of the customer service absolutely have failed in every aspect. The Black Bird hardware store recommended Bear Creek Lock & Safe for cutting blank remote keys which I purchased from Amazon. Only $4 per key to duplicate from the original key. The duplicate keys worked fine. And I was able to program them at home with the Universal EZ Installer OBD plug (from AutoZone) and its iOS app. It was for 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The guy on the phone was super busy with people needing help with their doors. I made an appointment for two days away. On the appointed day the guy shows up at the appointed time, all friendly and all. He brought a carry bag to the apartment's, and immediately gets to work on the jammed lock. I just flew into town to have my 99-year-old grandmother's safety deposit box lock changed, after she lost both keys. The bank told me I'd need to make an appointment a couple of days ahead for a locksmith to meet me at the bank. So I looked around and this company looked reputable. I made an appointment and a nice young man texted me to assure me he would meet me at the agreed upon time. Then I arrived at the bank to learn they had failed to specify I needed to use their one specific locksmith. Really disappointed with Bear Creek Lock. I bought a new to me motorcycle & one of the accessories had a lock & no key. I stopped by to have them name a key, expecting it would take a bit of time, but I've had it done at other locksmiths before. The first time is show up they acted like this was an unusual request. I explained that it didn't come with a key for that particular accessory. They fumbled around with a key for about 10 minutes, then told me I had to come back another time, that they didn't have time to work on it, they had too much other stuff a head of me. I was the only one in their shop. That was on a Friday I showed up on Tuesday again to get a key made. The guy working in the shop made all kinds of excuses why he couldn't take care of it. As I turned to walk out he found tell I was annoyed, especially after I told him I had already been there once before.
