Give you a fair warning. I got my ball bearings done. In December 2025. I don't no what kind of ball bearings he got they .only lasted about three months.. I couldn't go back to a shop cause. I was 90 miles away. And it looked like my tire was ready to fall off, so I got repaired in Jersey.. mind you he said it was a 6000 mile warranty on ball bearings. They're supposed to last 100,000 miles.. he sold had Chinese garbage for 800 set. Anyway, it cost me $650 for repairs in New Jersey.. I called I told him what happened. He told me to bring it back. I said I can't. I'm 90 miles away. OK so tow it in or use a U-Haul with a tow. Is this guy out of his mind for 650 bucks?. do not go into this shop. My wife went to have a tire fixed and after putting the car on the lift he started to say everything that is wrong with the car. He was a very indignant person when my wife at said she couldn't afford or want all that work done at this time. It was quoted over 500 dollars and up. I have been getting my cars fixed here for years. I bought my 2011 Grand Cherokee there since it was backfiring and the check engine light went on. The SUV has 71k miles on it. I left it there and got a call back in 30 minutes from Al. He said the error code showed miss firing and it appears the coils needed replacing costing about $1,700. After discussion with Al I authorized the repair. In about 30 minutes Al called back and said he reviewed the last receipt for a tune-up on that vehicle. and saw I had them replaced during a full tune-up about 4 months prior. He said there will be no charge for this repair since he warranties his services. I had work done on my car the week of 6/ 26/2020. Had several items I need fixed. Spoke with Al directly, he assured me it would be no problem and quoted me a price. That's when it all went down hill, as it turns out Al's is a complete Fraud! Shotty repair...over priced parts and repair hours exaggerated. Al is a complete rip off with no integrity as a mechanic or human. Half the work had to be redone by the dealer and they showed me the cheap Chinese parts Al used...even after I told Al I only wanted OEM parts. I went it for a simple state inspection and was about to get ripped off. After doing inspection he told me 4 other things that needed to be "fixed". My car is new and of course I didn't believe a word he said. I got to my mechanic and asked him to confirm what he said. All 4 things were absolutely in order. AL is one big rip off. Complete crook. I should of knew when I got there and he has no cars in garages and he is washing windows. I had a flat. Took my car and told me I had 2 nails both in the inner sidewall and they can't be plugged. I need a NEW tire. Actually he said I need 2 NEW tires and brakes of I won't pass my inspection in 2 months. Obviously I left and went to a real tires place. Guess what...... 1 nail in tire and not in the sidewall. And brakes are fine. $10 and a plug and out the door. I call this asshole and told him what happened. He said he remembered me. When I told him that I only had 1 nail and it was fixable and tires and breaks were good, HIS Answer Was "YES SO WHAT" then when I called him a crook he told me "TO GO FUCK MYSELF AND COME DOWN HERE AMD SAY IT TO HIS FACE" He is lucky I don't go down there I would have to spank him and shove his cigar up his ass. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! Besides the fact that Al is not the nicest person out there. I do not make emotional decisions, so if he were a good mechanic but a grumpy old man, I'd brush it off. I took my car to Al for an oil change, I picked up my car and went on about my day. A few miles later, oil pressure like lit up. I called him and he asked me to bring my car back. He said I had to change a piece that cost $250. I almost did it in fear of damaging my engine, but something told me it was his fault that had happened. So I took my car to my regular mechanic and he changed the oil saying the oil was black and wasn't changed. HE CHARGED ME $130 for an oil change, but the oil pressure light was still there. So I took it to a bmw specialist and he said that they had taken out a piece and all he did was put a new one in, and the light was gone! I can't believe his disgusting way to do business. This guy completely misdiagnosed my car, Had me pay almost 1000 dollars to fix it. After I give him the money, I pull into the street and the car stalls out. He looks out it again and tells me that what he just fixed wasn't the problem and I would need to pay 1200 more. He refused to refund anything. After purchasing a tire on 11/1, and the tire completely shredding on 11/17 when driving on the highway, the owner argued with me that he wasn't going to replace the tire if the manufacturer wouldn't warranty it. The owner proceeded to argue with me, tell me "whatever," and that my son would be fine driving across country on a donut, where anyone knows you really shouldn't drive more than 50 miles. For a car mechanic to be as low as what I experienced at Al's is really lower than low. Went to get my check engine light fixed. Of course Al claimed he knew what it was. When I picked up my car I saw no check engine light on. What I didn't notice was that a year later I have been driving around with the check engine light still on but it was covered with black tape. Are you kidding me? Instead of being honest and telling me that he didn't fix it, he lied and charged me a big bundle to FIX it. Besides that he also told me I needed a new battery at that visit. I brought my car to Al after being told I needed a cam shaft sensor from Honda City dealership. I had a feeling they were trying to rip me off and was told that the cost of labor to change a sensor was going to be $417 +tax . I went to get a second opinion. After inspecting my car Al advised me that what the dealership told me was false. He diagnosed the problem as being a loose cam shaft connection. Came here to get a New York State inspection done waited about 20 minutes then the owner came and told me I needed to get my wipers replaced, washer fluid, needed to rotate my tires and get them balanced, my rear brakes needed to be replaced. Needless to say he failed my inspection! Two months ago I took my car into another shop to get an oil change done and they checked the entire car for any additional work that needs to be done and none of these issues came up that Al failed my inspection for.
