My grandson pulled on a thread in our motorhome seat and ruined the leather. . Monte's had repaired the movement mechanism of a recliner for us a few years ago and did a great job. Absolutely unprofessional and unscrupulous. Based upon his YELP reviews I was excited to have Montes Re-Upolstery cover our 2 year old sectional with a vinyl material (due to a constantly shedding husky). After providing exact measurements (from the manufacturer) and a number of back and forth texts, I was given a bid of $1,350.00 using "the very good vinyl, labor, pick up and delivery." Fast forward to today, Monte's company did not show up at our pre-arranged meeting at 10:00am so I called. He blamed his secretary not being in for his forgetting about our meeting. I was understanding and he said he would arrive at 11:00 am. At 11:34 he finally showed up. We showed him the sectional (which he already had images of and specific measurements) and he showed us a variety of vinyl options. Once we started narrowing it down he up and said and I quote, "I'm sorry I gave you wrong numbers. This is my secretary's fault. The cost is $2,700.00." How in the hell do you jump from $1,350.00 to $2,700.00???? I had read the other YELP reviews of this bait and switch from the company but since it was only a handful I was cautiously optimistic. I was wrong. I have text images of our entire initial conversation with me providing him with an image of the sectional as well as dimensions from the manufacturer so he can't deny this conversation and bid didn't take place. As for blaming your secretary when it was the owner I was speaking to all along...that is just shameful. Way to throw her under the bus. This kind of shady, bait and switch hustle is beyond unprofessional. I'm still fuming at this disgusting attempt to hustle and I asked that my wife escort him out of our meeting so I wouldn't lose my cool. So be aware, and beware that this company tried to gouge me by doubling the cost on site. Shameful. read more

I highly recommend this business, because the owner Martin is a respectful man with a great deal of Integrity. I sent him pictures of a leather sofa set that I purchased from Mathias Brothers. I had discoloration and peeling on the sofa. Martin told me it would cost to much to have it re done because the cost of leather so he referred a guy who goes by the name of David the "the leather doctor" to dye my leather sofa. Our seven year old 2 seat power sofa began to unravel. The seams on the leg rest opened, the leather under the arms were cracking additionally it lost its firmness! It was time for new seating. Our dinette has seen better days. We've been in this house over 12 years and have had some work done that we love. Our old set of 8 dining/parlor chairs were sagging, bagging and dragging. They no longer matched our decor, were uncomfortable to sit on and looked tired. I went to my favorite spot Mathis Bros to see about replacing them. We were directed upstairs and for something similar and slightly smaller they wanted a whopping $1750.00 EACH!!!! On sale!#$%^&! I was heartbroken. I've never had anything reupholstered before and expected the worse, these are detailed, not any easy DIY I could hook up from Youtube. I called Empire and they never called back. I have a slipcover sofa that I bought from Ethan Allen 10 years ago, unfortunately they quit making the sofa so that meant they were unable to make me another slipcover. The slipcover the sofa came with gave me 10 years of good service but was coming apart at the seams and just wearing itself out. Basically I just needed a new slipcover... That's when I went on Yelp and found montes re-upholstery. I called and spoke with Martin who was pleasant and knowledgeable. He told me to bring my old slipcover by his shop so he could check it out. I went and he told me that by using my old slipcover, taking it apart, he could make a pattern and make me an exact copy of it. I actually had him make me 2 new slipcovers, both made of a thick, denim material. I left my old slipcover with him and 4 weeks later he called to tell me to come in and check out the first one he had completed. The seams were reinforced and the zippers were heavy duty. Took it home put it on my sofa and was blown away by the amazing craftsmanship! Wow, him and Maria had done an amazing job, it fit perfectly! I called him back letting him know it fit and to start on the second one.. Yes, having a slipcover custom made it not cheap, but the quality of their work is priceless! Very nice! Very fair pricing. Owner was super friendly and was very reasonable with his pricing. I needed to replace the foam padding for my guitar stand and the owner helped me pick the best one for my needs. Gave him the measurements I had taken, than took me around back and cut them to length and size. He also threw in a few extras from the material that was left over. Super awesome, he didn't have to do that; but it was nice to have the extra pieces since I needed them in the end. I ended up going back the next day for more because it worked out so well and I would rather have extras set aside if need be. I saw that they had plenty of options in foams and fabrics and if I ever need anything Re-Upholstered or even just materials. This is the place I'm coming to, thanks again! read more

I took my couch cushions that Ashley's furniture never really made right because as soon as you sat down, you would fall right though the cushions because they would separate!
