Several issues with the wedding tuxedos we all rented from here, and the owner had a meltdown when it was brought to his attention. He offered an offensively small "refund" after trusting them to provide our party with decent quality tuxedoes for a wedding. If you want cheap looking tuxes that don't fit, great spot. Highly recommend. If you want quality and a sensible business owner who actually honors their product, don't use The Ritz Tuxedos.

My husband and I had a great experience at the Black Tux…read more Chris helped us at the Fashion Place Mall Nordstrom's, and it was nice to have a younger person (my husband was renting a suit for our daughter's wedding) give us tips on shirt/shoe/tie color recommendations. My husband wound up renting a wedgewood blue tux (it looked like a suit to me: no strip of satin down the pants legs, no satin lapels, no cummerbund) that he wore with a pale pink shirt and a navy tie. It looked amazing: fun for a Spring wedding. Chris took my husband's measurements at our first appointment, but when the tux arrived (2 weeks before the wedding), the arms were WAY too long. No problem! We just went back down to Nordstrom's, they altered, and Black Tux credited $15 towards the alteration cost. The arms were so off, I asked Nordstrom to write off the additional $15 since I am a very regular Nordstrom shopper, and they did. Love Nordstrom's! I would have preferred that the arms had been correct, since we'd measured before ordering, but Black Tux and Nordstrom's were great to work with on the alteration. Since my husband never needs a suit in his daily life, it was fun for him to rent a fun colored tux/suit. Return was so easy - back into the box it came in, pre-paid label already on it, under the original mailing label. Highly recommend if you want to try a fun tux or suit for an occasion. They also rent shoes, shirts, ties.

For the rentals, I thought the price was too steep. $130 to rent certain dresses? I heard many people in the store say they could buy one cheaper, and I agree. Some of the dresses had beads missing, pilling and small rips. This would be a good place for prom if your daughter wants a more deluxe dress, but you can definitely purchase cheaper elsewhere. For a work formal event, I would skip it.
