There is a grocery store located on the ground floor and makes it an ideal home away from home. The reception is open long hours and the staff are the friendliest melbournians I've met. The housekeeping was done daily on request. They have an undercover secured carpark and I was guaranteed a spot for a minimal daily rate, which was later refunded as I stayed for over a month. Love the management and their customer service. Did i mention, there is a Gym, Swimming pool which can be used free of charge during your stay. There is also a cafe on site. Awesome perks, makes living here as good as staying in a hotel. One small improvement would make this a 5 star place. The apartment offers internet but it's not wifi enabled.

The space layout is ok. The decor is ok too.. not great but not bad. However, it's dirty and has scuff marks all over the walls. No tea towel in the kitchen, no paper towels, and remotes don't work. The tiny closets serve no purpose since they don't fit your luggage and they don't have any hangers. They also have no dressers or drawers so I guess I'm supposed to live out of my suitcase for a week. They have no soap, no amenities and no blankets on the bed!! One fucking sheet. .. and apparently that is normal?? Also, the supposed grocery store is like shopping at 7-11 it's not a grocery store. It's a convenience store that you can grab a few over priced snacks. I would never recommend this place to anybody and I would never stay here again! We do have two kids so the idea of a kitchen sounded nice, but it is in useable. So what is the point?? I would much rather be in a nice hotel and have amenities and room service since we have to eat out every meal anyway.

Situated in the heart of all the action on Barkly Street, near the Acland Street end, the block has 22 one bedroom apartments with private balconies overlooking an attractive Japanese style courtyard. Each apartment features modern kitchen and laundry facilities with room to relax in spacious living areas and a separate bedroom. Wireless internet access (with a charge) and Foxtel are available to all apartments. The apartment itself was not very modern but neat and included enough room for 4 to sleep (1 Queen bed in a separate bedroom, with a single bed and sofa couch in the living area). The full rate is around $200 per night, with the internet special being $169. Complimentary security parking is available to guests, though with trams, cabs and busses running frequently just outside your doorstep, a car probably isn't necessary.

The works. Some of the units even have parking (ask ahead of time). They're on quite streets, just off Toorak Road (I stayed on 85 Caroline Street). Just know this, you are not at a full-service establishment. Their office handles a number of properties, so punctual returning of phonecalls (or even answering the phone) may not happen. I had trouble with my 'free' wifi, and it wasn't really handled at all. I wound up just buying a usb internet thing from vodaphone. Locationally though, you have great shops and cafes nearby. A few groceries and chemists also make it that you won't have to walk far, and you're minutes from trams and trains. You lose some service at this price, but it's a great spacious room to make a visit far more comfortable for the money.

Free Netflix and wifi just topped it off! Only bad about it was there are no lifts so if your on the top floor and taking your weekly groceries - have fun with the two flights of stairs! They also expect you to take your rubbish out yourself and housekeeping only come once a week - also means they only give you enough, washing powder etx for 1-2 loads and then you have to purchase your own. Overall a great place!

Check in was fast, with two desk staff on most of the time service was never a problem, friendly, genuine and efficient without being rushed. The hotel itself is a short walk from Flinders St, Spencer St and Bourke St, and is located in the area of the CBD which houses most of Melbourne's banks/financial institutions and consulting houses. This ensures you are more likely to enjoy a full nights sleep, whenever you choose to retire for the evening/morning/day. Recommend requesting a high floor, north facing corner room.

The upper floors, the rooms have balconies which is good. It is located very near a tram stop on Whitehorse Road and the trains are less than a kilometre away at Box Hill where their is also a supermarket and other shops. Parking is in the basement and there are a few in the streets around if you're the short term visitor of a guest. Overall is a good, reliable establishment.
