I went through it during the construction process first hand and I'm still dealing with them almost a year after signing my contract. I wish I had never done this. I was constantly stressed out and this was and is still a completely awful experience. Whoever gave this company 5 stars was clearly paid to, probably so they wouldn't have a 1 star rating. I honestly don't know how Frank can legitimately run a business like this. Not one person working for him will care about you, your family, or your situation. All they want is your money and they will say anything to get it. A perfect description, as Nick said, is over promised expectations and undelivered results. That should be their slogan. If you do choose to go with them, be prepared to: 1. Overpay for your house by thousands of dollars for pretty shitty work and low quality materials. It's what Frank calls "affordable". Do your research and the math on the outrageous upgrade costs. You will realize you're getting screwed. 2. Have zero communication between the site coordinator, operations manager, construction manager, and the construction team... you might as well kiss your blueprints goodbye because what you sign won't be followed and the things listed as standard features in your contract won't be included. I know this sounds crazy and you're saying to yourself, "how can that be?", but it really is true. 3. Have plenty of incompetent subcontractors working on your house. 75% of the guys are still learning how to do their jobs or are in training and the construction manager is never there to supervise anyone. This is because Frank is so cheap he's not willing to pay for people who actually know what they are doing. I am afraid for what is behind the walls, seriously. The day we closed on our house, we had no hot water and our dishwasher wouldn't turn on. How bad could it be, right? After being present for the necessary repairs, we found out that our hot and cold water lines were connected together and the water line to our refrigerator had never been done at all. The main electrical wiring to our dishwasher had been nearly cut in half and could have started a fire if the dishwasher was able to turn on. I thought you're supposed to have peace of mind building a new house... not so much. One more example, our neighbor's house was built 6 months before ours. Their sump pump failed a weekend when they were out of town. They came home to 2 feet of water in their basement, everything was ruined, including the furnace, and they did not have flood insurance. They had quite a battle getting that taken care of with BH. 4. Deal with their greedy real estate agent/site coordinator, Maryellen Blair. She is a complete bitch and has a serious conflict of interest with this type of home purchase. Unfortunately, she is the only tether you have to your house after you've signed the contract so get ready to deal with her for 4+ months. Be sure to have your own real estate agent with you for every single meeting. I would highly suggest one with new construction experience who will abdicate for you because Maryellen is a snake in this industry. I could not stand this woman, by the last walk through I wouldn't even speak to her, let alone shake her hand. 5. Be lied to...constantly. We were rushed into making decisions and signing off on things that were not correct. If we didn't, then we were told that we are holding up the building process. This is a complete lie because they already have their own agenda (and blueprints apparently) and the time frame in which you make your decisions has little effect on that when they are just starting to build the house. What they don't want you to know is they are rushing you so you don't look at the details. They are vague for a reason, which allows them to get away with shit behind your back and still make you pay for it at the end of the day. Clearly, I am very unhappy and I do not recommend BH to anyone. Everything I've had to go through has been a fight because nothing is ever done right the first time and no one cares about my house. I paid more than market value for it, so I've literally thrown my money out the window and I won't be going get it back anytime soon. No amount of remedies has made up for what this builder has and continues to put me through. I don't care about his reputation in the Capital Region because it is a bunch of bullshit. It is unfortunate that more people don't voice their experiences to warn others from going through this fate. He should not be allowed to lie to people and use and abuse them like they are garbage, it is absolutely disgraceful. Save yourself the aggravation and build with or buy from someone else...

DQ provided the most reasonable quote at a reasonable time. Devis was incredibly responsive, communicative, and respectful. He was reluctant to provide advice on paint colors, but it was clear we didn't like the color I picked out for my living room. After some deliberation, a new color was picked and his team repainted the living room at no extra charge. Another important detail is that I'm pretty handy myself, and most contractors I've dealt with were generally dismissive of women who know a thing or two about home repairs, tools, and the work it entails. Not Devis. He and his partners were great - they listened, considered my input, and I never felt dismissed in any way. The work took a bit longer than expected due to material shortage but the end result was beautiful. I'm absolutely going to use QD for my kitchen renovation soon. Hire these guys - you won't regret it!

Two of those showed up late, provided quotes either late or not at all, and one of those didn't quote what we discussed. Haley Bros showed up on time, listened, quoted what was discussed (which was special order) and turned around a quote quickly. I was very pleased and would recommend to anybody.

The weather was rainy and he was very careful to ensure that stain wasn't applied while the house was still damp. There were no drips anywhere. The stain was applied evenly and thoroughly. I was MORE than patient with him. He finally came to my house to do the job, after numerous no shows that past week and a half. When he arrived he asked to come out to review what we wanted to do, and it was filled with bait and switches. He was impatient, rude and off putting immediately if I tried asking any questions, and threatened to leave. He refused to do the work we originally agreed on which was the areas of the front of the house visible from the street or even have a conversation/work with me on what I wanted. I kindly reminded him we can calmly talk things through to get on the same page, and work things out, after all, it had been over a YEAR since I was quoted. I reminded him that the thinking was that if we were renting a lift, that we would do all the areas that would require it, so that we didn't have to rent it again... Logical, right? I even broke down and offered to pay more to have the section I wanted to be painted... This was when he admitted he didn't rent the lift like he was supposed to. At that point, I ended up going along with what he said he would do because I had waited so long and needed it done. Then, he told me that the paint was not included and I needed to pay for it separately, which was not notated anywhere in the quote that it was the clients responsibility. The quote gave the totals in the column, and gave the grand total at the bottom of the amount we agreed to including the paint, and then I realized the total at the bottom didn't even add up to any of the amounts given, it was very obscure, and disorganized leaving me, the client, feeling like he was trying to take advantage of me. Any attempt to discuss with him to review the quotes, problem solve, see if there was misunderstandings lead to hyper defensiveness, rude behavior, and again threaten to leave. After numerous times to sooth him I just let him go. He even got mad at me for even asking if I could pick the color of white for my own house, and threatened to leave over that! Not multiple colors, one color. If he had made a mistake and admitted it, and we could have talked it out and fixed it, and came to resolution. The whole experience was terrible, and completely unprofessional. We had agreed to do a portion of the house this year, and the other portion in the next year or two, and then at the end he admitted he didn't want to do the job because he didn't want to only do half. I told him I wish he had told be before and I would have changed plans, and not waited a year longer than we originally talked about. I do not appreciate dishonesty, and being dragged along just to be treated rudely to get out of a job. Simply communicate well. I would definitely not recommend him. After a year of waiting to have my house painted, I will probably have to wait till next year to get someone that available. To say the least, I'm livid.

He was recommended to us by my fiances mother who had him do some work in her backyard, including her fence. He was very responsive over email, text, and phone calls and willing to work with us on timing. He quoted us just over half the price that Lowes did. He did great work, the fence looks solid, straight, and exactly as we wanted. What more can you ask for? I highly recommend him.

The space was not an easy space to work with but Bonacio got it done! I also hired Bonacio Construction to create a large closet as well as the installation of new lighting fixtures. From the moment we met it was professional, friendly and fun. The work is exemplary. The main points of contact, James Ackerman and Amanda Santy were always in touch and easy to deal with. In fact, James was super picky regarding the tile selection and I appreciated his opinions and perfection. One of the employees, Jim, was punctual and also very efficient. Believe me, I see scams and immoral hikes in pricing for the consumers especially the consumers coming into Saratoga for the track season. Not here. This is a family run business with folks who work hard and do a beautiful job. On a side note, James was nice enough to do a formal walk thru on my home when the builder (not Bonacio) did not show up when I flew to New York for my pre- settlement walk thru. He felt bad for me that I spent monies on a flight, a hotel and a rental car to do the walk thru inspection. Again, I appreciated that effort and concern. Work with the Bonacio crew. You will be happy with the outcome and have a pleasant experience along the way.
