I do not recommend this dance studio, unfortunately, the studio owner only sees the children as money and that's what you end up doing forking out a lot of money just for little girls to shake their hips and shuffle their feet. The owner took money that was not hers and did not reimburse it. She constantly found reasons to keep the money and gave out excuses. I've never come across someone so unprofessional before in my life. Unfortunately, she puts on an act. And that's all it is she'll tell you whatever she needs to to get money from you. Where all these other dance studios in the area the children are actually learning how to dance. She picks favorites and she let everyone know that your kid is not valuable of her time, but yet she expects you to keep paying and paying for her to treat your kid like they don't mean anything. She is a very nasty woman. Moving to a different studio was the best thing I could do and I recommend that to anyone who fall victim to this woman. And get sucked into her money trap ways. read more

My daughter had been attending since late 2017. She did Hip Hop and several holiday shows. And 3 Competitive Seasons. I trusted, defended, and invested money in this studio. Unfortunately they lost so many very talented instructors . The owner would tell us that these instructors would leave for other opportunities. Unfortunately it was not that way at all. My daughter was always passed on to get a part. When I would bring it up (not the owners favorite), she would say that she needs to keep learning and get better. However with the constant change in instructors how can they see the children's progress? My daughter imagined being one of the oldest dancers in the studio. That was her goal. I truly thought she would be. Unfortunately it sadly ended for us at the last competition. The team that the owner cared for the least and in her words.. "I don't like HipHop" was the the team that actually placed in competition. Versus her favorite Company dance group. The Favoritism shines in this place. You can see who the favorites are. They are the ones that constantly perform in every dance performance. Would bend over for those parents. Sadly all other dancers were just for show. I do recommend it for little kids under 10 to look cute in a Christmas or expensive costume. Anyone over 11 years... they will not advance. My daughter was not a ballet or jazz dancer. My granddaughters have enjoyed classes here but their policies seem unfair/ borderline illegal. They have you pay per month, then spring break is different than majority of students. Doing makeup class is allowed for a very short time. When you quit, you need to give a 30 day notice or still charged!! Never heard of that unless you're a tenant!! We are out of country all summer, so once we cancelled, with 3 missed classes- memorial holiday being the last one- we aren't allowed to makeup because we dropped!! I was not happy with the studio and we have left. We were patrons for almost 4 years. I recommended friends to this studio. So they've made money off my patronage. But when Covid hit, the studio would not offer even a partial refund for a scheduled spring performance at the Family Lewis Playhouse. I was told the playhouse would not issue a refund. But I had received a refund for a different show at this playhouse after Covid hit. My child was having anxiety issues about performing and still the studio would not even offer a partial refund. That tells me this studio is NOT about the children at all or keeping them safe and healthy. The studio also has a big turn over rate of instructors. As soon as my daughter started to bond with one. The instructor either left or had a new class time. The studio is also largely for toddlers. As your child grows, they will be forced to join the expensive competition team or be with much younger dancers. Keep looking and skip this place. The owner responded she offered me class credit. That is a lie. I again contacted the business manager TWO times by email personally and was never offered this credit. There is NO way this business could not have reached out to me. We attended for about 1 year The business is ran so poorly the owner is very young. She is a good dancer but not a good business woman! It says it's a Christian studio but we experienced NOTHING Christian about it. She gets many complaints about pinching every penny out of you. The owner has a really bad habit of talking poorly about her students and mothers when they are not around! I do not recommend it. I grew up doing competitive dance and have visited many dance studios. I decided to sign my child up for hip hop here. I was shocked when I saw the trial class was $15 when at almost every other studio the first class is free. Well, I decided to still try it out and I was not impressed. We arrived early to make sure there was not any paperwork needing to be done before. We stood at the front desk for 15 min waiting for someone to even greet us. I finally had to say excuse me since the girl at the front seemed too busy. The teacher was super sweet, but there were curtains on the door so you could not watch. I've never been to a studio where you couldn't watch your child from the window. They did have tiny tv screens with live video to watch your child, but the timing was extremely delayed and the tv was so small you could barely see. There are so many other dance studios around that will treat you so much better and where you can actually watch your child through the window. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Our first class was like dropping my daughter off at school for the first time. They don't allow parents inside even on day one. Weird. Isn't this suppose to be fun for kids? Very disappointed I joined!! I spent tuition on both my kids and $80 on my daughter's dance gear. They helped select her tap shoes and I though they were too small. The girl said they had to fit snug, but after a week she would not wear them and complained they hurt!!! Apparently they don't know how to keep a customer, they won't not exchange them because I thru out the box. So I refuse too buy a new pair! I was also never offered a drop in trial. read more

I'm pretty annoyed with this business. I signed my daughter up for Twinkle Babies twice a week back in May 2019, as well as a weeklong Disney camp this summer. To this day, I have never received a single email with their calendar or any updates to their schedule. My mother-in-law is also on the "email list." She has never received any emails or calls for updates. I'll be fair and say, they did call me about a cancellation ONCE. Twice, we showed up and the place was just closed without any notice, and when I tried to call asking why the place was closed, I got no answer. I called and left a voicemail, no one called back. I left my email again; no email still. Once, I showed up, and the receptionist said class was canceled and that she had sent me an email and called to say the class was cancelled; as she said that, a substitute teacher walked in the door so we had our class anyways, but speaking with the other mothers, NO one got a call or email. Just awful.. I've been searching for a dance studio for my daughter (5 years old) and I've been to a handful so far. This is the worst one I've encountered. I step in the studio and the girl sitting behind the front desk (her necklace said Isabella) didn't even look up to greet me. I said "excuse me" (very politely might I add) and she rolls her eyes and looks up at me. Already a red flag! Anyway, I made my way down the VERY narrow hall way which I'm 99.99% sure is a fire hazard because in the hall way are benches that the parents sit on and wait for their child. So this narrow hall way is filled with parents, kids, and babies and I was getting so claustrophobic. Fast forward to the ride home and my daughter says "I think my ballet teacher was having a bad day" I ask her why and she says "because she wasn't nice.. she was mean to all the kids" now I wasn't in the dance room with her, but for a kid to say that about a teacher says a lot. She's never said anything negative about anyone now that I think of it. I'll definitely be taking her to a different dance studio. read more

I can't say enough about this wonderful place!!! We've been attending ALDA for almost a year and we love it!!! Miss Courtney is wonderful with the kids and is a true professional and excellent role model. All of the instructors are professional and work very well with the kids. The front staff are welcoming and helpful. You can see that families and kids love coming here and they love their teachers. Parents are not ever pressured to take more classes or buy things and kids are able to grow at their own pace. The studio is clean and is always an upbeat place. This place is truly amazing!!! Tyler is taking Pre Ballet and a Tumbling class 2 days a week and it is all she talks about. She wants to dance 24 hrs a day. Let me start by saying the adult hip hop class is wonderful, I love everything about it, from the environment to the instructors, it is all great! However, the way this business is ran is very frustrating. Prior to my first class, I was almost forced to enroll and pay a monthly fee up front instead of showing up and paying as I go. The infuriating part about this is that if you miss a class, you don't get your money back. They do allow you to "make up" the class by attending a child's hip hop class. You are only given 2-3 options on what day/time to make it up and if you cannot make those, say goodbye to your money. Additionally, when they cancel class, you are not refunded but instead a credit is applied to your account in order to force you to come back again to redeem the credit. I want my money back if the studio is the one cancelling the class!! Furthermore, the studio is closed for weeks at a time for thanksgiving and winter break, but those classes are not allowed to be made up so you are paying for 4 classes a month and only receiving 3!! In order to unenroll in the class, you have to do it on the 15th of the month, before you get charged for the next month, but nobody tells you this. They just refuse to unenroll you until you fill out a form and submit it before the 15th. Like I said, great class but very frustrating business practices. read more

What exactly is a Christian dance studio anyways? Dance is expensive no matter where you go. Find a cheap one and I promise you won't like it. Each dance studio needs time to mature. This is a great place to get your little started. ALDA is a rising star studio and the proof will be in their performances. My daugther has a blast here and the teachers are incredible people. Studio is ran very poorly. All showcases are very expensive for not great quality. Everything is ran just to get money out of you. If your child is sick you need a dr note to make up a class. Each class needs its own set of clothing color, tights, and shoes so you're buying all 3 each new class/season you attend. read more

She is completely heartbroken when she has to miss a class. By the way we have never had a problem making up classes she has missed and have NEVER been asked to provide a Dr note.
