We walked in and were not greeted (maybe they're not used to new people?) and it seemed to be run by young people (20 year olds). We had to ask them for instructions on what to do because they weren't saying anything. The dancers all seemed to know exactly what to do, so maybe everyone is used to how things go, but we didn't like that there was no lead for first-timers. Kind of seemed like no one cared to see us in, or out. So we left and never came back. There was one TV monitor where you watch each class on a square on the monitor (4-6 squares on one screen) and a small space where you have to fit in with all the other waiting parents and siblings.

(Musical Theater 1, Musical Theater 2, tap 1, tap/ballet , jazz and HipHop)He went from a boy with anxiety to this confident performer. He was in his second musical Mary Poppins this past weekend. To see him perform with the biggest smile made me cry. He was confident and was so excited about the show. The show was AMAZING!!!!!!!!It's been great watching not just my son but many of the cast members just grow in theater. Thank You Mr.Frank and Mrs.Yesenia for bringing out the best in my son. He himself thanked them after the show for teaching him the songs and the choreography. All his teachers are all wonderful , Mrs.Megan , Miss. Larissa, Miss. Jenna, Miss. Jack , thank you ALL for not giving up on my son. A special shout out to Miss. Jack. Andrew wanted to try tap. Since the class has been practicing for a few months Andrew felt discouraged since they were already learning the song that they will be performing on the summer showcase. After trying the class he didn't want to continue since he was just starting and felt lost. Miss Jack told him she sees his talent and he can do it. She told him to come back the next week and try again. He tried again and he felt that he couldn't do it. Miss.Jack told him to think about it , she believes in him, if he still don't feel comfortable he can enroll after the summer showcase and start from the beginning. She was very sweet to him. On our way home he decided he wanted to continue!!! His words " mom , Miss.Jack believes in me. I want to take her class , I can do it " He's doing amazing. She knew how much he did want to take her class and encouraged him. I can't wait to see him on stage in June for the summer showcase. I also want to give a shout out to the parent volunteers.They're very helpful, it was so nice to hear from them how Andrew has grown so much in theater. Another shout out to Kyle , the front receptionist for being helpful and answering my million questions haha. Us parents don't just cheer for our kids we cheer for all the kids. I am thankful I found Valverde. They have help mold my son in this confident , happy , positive young performer. Can't wait to see him continue growing in theater !! She is not only one of the most graceful and strong dancer I had the chance to dance with, she is also an amazing mentor. She shares her deep love and respect of Hula, not only the dance but the stories and the deep meaning where Hula is rooted. No matter where you are on your dance journey you will get something from a class with Toni that your probably didn't even expect. Since she took over Aloha Hula Studio in San bernardino, she slowly transformed it to be in her image, and I always leave the class with the biggest smile (and sweaty too, you will get stronger!). She manages to create a space with such a beautiful positive energy where everyone feels welcome, seen, heard, and where you can connect with the other dancers. She is truly a gem !

What I love about dancing with Toni is that her movement is so flowing (you can tell that she's danced her whole life). Ang lambot ang katawan. Her tenacity to teach and learn with her students of the process of decolonization of the mind and body is evident in her craft. She often rehearses with telling you the origin of the dance and movement making every dance intentional to its ancestral being. Her expertise of dancing Hula and Filipinx dances invigorates her craft as she has created a space where she can start every class with intentional medication guided with Hawaiian chanting and still represent her Filipinx roots by calling out to her family's origin. She is a patient choreographer and facilitator that is able to communicate how to improve your craft and also, ultimately wants you to improve not only your physical health, but especially your spiritual and mental health. She has advanced traditional movements and put her own twist. Toni has an impeccable resume of dance and even holds a Masters degree dedicated to her craft. You can assure that in any class she teaches will always be meaningful and a life changing experience that goes beyond-to just perform. Her heart is in respecting tradition and deviating from decolonization that awakens every chakra and leaves you in a good mind space following every class by ending with cool downs and meditation with intention. And I can say without a doubt if we lived here this is the gym my daughter would attend. We have had an amazing experience at Real Gymnastics! The entire gym creates a positive, productive, and fun environment where athletes can grow both in their skills and confidence. Coach Lorena and Coach Ryann are truly exceptional. Their professionalism, knowledge, and dedication to their students are evident in every class. They have a wonderful ability to challenge athletes while also providing encouragement and support, helping each child reach their full potential. I wasn't even done asking when I was gonna ask. Rude. I know she can't be the only one there that is to take care of children. I heard children in the background but seriously? That's the worst thing you can do in customer service is hang up on someone or not help them when they're asking for help. Rant over.

And the experience overall is very difficult. The owner wants to maintain the door open while there are people smoking outside next to the door while daughters are inside dancing. Our children are dancing working out the weather out side is 60 degrees with high winds and the owner turns around makes racial comments and comments about our children. When the class is dismiss some of the parents that have smaller girls walk in to bundle up there kids before stepping outside. The owner starts throwing comments that we are not allowed inside the facility. However she has a signed that you can rent out her place just to contact her and this is how she treats her customers that are renting said establishment.

There was a male and female dancer, and I was called on stage by both of them, and YES! I enjoyed every minute with both dancers. The painting I did of Jamaika (male dancer) was horrible. It was supposed to be his body, but some how ended up looking like a butterfly, to me. I would recommend visiting for classes and attending one their events, they are great hostesses.
