This complex is noisy, unsafe, dirty, and continues to get worse with the new management. The 1st thing they decided to do is get rid of the security guards, then raise rent. Homeless people live on the train tracks north of the complex and under the bridge to the east. Sometimes they sleep right outside the complex. Some are polite and fine to be around, but others are mentally ill or on drugs. You'll see dirty needles around the grounds outside the complex. I've even seen one inside that was thrown over a fence. It isn't uncommon to hear crazy people screaming at the top of their lungs for no reason. The front gate breaks a lot and spends a lot of time completely open. trespassing and break ins are frequent. There is 1 parking spot per unit. Your other parking option is 6th Ave. it's isolated, poorly lit, and covered in glass from bottles of booze and broken car windows. The next issue is noise. In building 3 you live next to a loud scrapyard and close enough to the train tracks for your walls to shake when they pass by. The trains primarily come through and blow their horns between the hours of 2 AM - 7 AM. In buildings 2 or 3 you'll get 24/7 traffic and siren noise from Lincoln st and the 7th avenue bridge. The complex is filthy. There is dog poop everywhere, including inside the buildings, and it takes a long time to be cleaned. The units and appliances are outdated and poorly designed. For example, the Wi-Fi router is located in the bathroom closet, so you need to run an Ethernet cord through the bathroom. There is no temperature setting in the dryer, the dishwashers leak, and there is no ice or filtered water dispenser in the fridge. The elevators also frequently break down and stay broken for long periods of time. The new management is bad at solving problems but good at finding ways to squeeze every penny out of the residents here. As an example of how little they care, the zip code, complex name, and management company listed on the sign out front are incorrect. They also came up with a scheme where if you are 1 day late paying your rent, they completely block you from making payments and charge you late fees every day after. The only payment option is cashiers check (very fun when your work hours begin when the banks open and end after they close). If the cashiers check isnt for the entire balance including late fees, they reject it, make you get a new one, and continue charging you fees the next day. read more

I lived at this apartment for a full year or should I say suffered at this place a full year so I feel I have a very accurate depiction of what it's like living here. So firstly the staff has been very unkind to me and my spouse on multiple occasions they blatantly ignored emails, were very rude and condescending and did not in fact follow Fair Housing by treating everyone the same. Outside of that our AC barely worked in our apartment we pretty much suffered the whole time after trying to get it fixed multiple times. The started off letting people bring food and grocery but a houseless person broke into someone's apartment and then they began to let some people get them delivered and some not. Also, about the break in there is literally courtesy patrol who was supposed to be monitoring I've literally seen him playing pool late at night instead of patrolling. It's a very unsafe neighborhood and if you have visitors or multiple cars you will have an issue with parking and will have to leave your car in that unsafe area where it will get broken into. I agree with the other reviewers who said the issue with Cox cutting out constantly and APS is also CONSTANTLY cut off. We've went hours without power practically once a month. It's also not the cleanest property there's one elevator in the main building with a rug that constantly smells like garbage and pet urine. Speaking of pet urine, we weren't able to even use our UNCOVERED balcony or air our apartment out because it smelled of pet urine and feces anytime you even thought about opening it instead of using a dog park they just all do their smelly business on the Main Street in front of the building. Speaking of main streets 7th Ave is so busy and at this residence you will want to avoid it because you get a TRAIN, AIRPORT, BUSIEST STREET all at once. It is constant noise and we witnessed MULTIPLE cars wrecks right outside of our apartment. You are also located in an area I wouldn't advise walking in due to the HUGE ENCAMPMENT of unhoused people a few streets over unfortunately. This place felt so unsafe I just recently moved to another city outside of Phoenix because this area was so bad. They want it to be hip and new but you can't do that when the surrounding area doesn't reflect that. We just moved a week ago and I would HIGHLU SUGGEST you document every single thing upon moving in because we are being charged for having a pet WE DID NOT HAVE. And for other things we have actual video proof of. We will most likely have to seek legal action. Our fur baby has been in another state on the other side of the country a WHOLE YEAR, due to being unwell and being with family but they are trying to tell us we had her there. This is INCREDIBLY INSENSITIVE seeing she is our Emotional Support Animal that we have had to go without seeing this entire time. She is still literally out of town right now. That is where I DRAW THE LINE with this property. I STRONGLY ADVISE going elsewhere especially for the price, the construction was POORLY DONE, we literally had a towel bar slathered in paint when we moved in, AC not working very well, ceiling lights rattling amongst many other things. IVE NEVER BEEN MORE DISAPPOINTED WITH A PROPERTY IVE LIVED IN THIS MUCH EVER. So be careful they lure you in and seem kind and then you get an entirely different experience once you move in. And I myself have worked in Property Management for years so I know the power they have to fix things or make things right and I also know that I would never treat residents who pay $2500 a month like this honestly it doesn't matter what you pay you should be treated with kindness because this is YOUR HOME. So definitely go elsewhere there are lots of other new places near but in a better area with more appealing apartments, discounts, and nicer people. DO NOT LEASE AT ALTA WAREHOUSE if you can avoid it. Also save your response you only care when people leave a review but don't address matters directly. read more

I'm completely disappointed with this place. I have been living here for 2 months already and it's been a complete nightmare. I do not recommend this place at all. I've never been so disappointed in a place and I'm literally counting down the days until our lease is up so we can move from this awful place.  First of all, we would have NEVER MOVED into this place if we knew we couldn't purchase a second parking spot which we asked if we can purchase on our tour and we were told yes. We didn't purchase a second carport immediately because we wanted to see what the uncovered parking would be like which it is absolutely terrible. After realizing how terrible uncovered parking was, we reached out to the leasing office to add a second parking spot to our lease and were told that we can't add a second carport like we were told during our tour originally. Every place we toured we made sure we could have the option to get a second parking spot and if we couldn't it was an immediate no for us so you can already see the displeasure we already have with this apartment complex. Zark Parking is the absolute worst. They tell you about zark parking after you have already signed the lease. They try to charge you extra if there is no parking uncovered parking or if your guest wants to come to visit you which is ridiculous. Also, only 30% of the complex is signed up so that should tell how much people don't care for it. Our parking spot was changed without our knowledge after a month of being here. My boyfriend's car was parked in our spot because he was out of town for a family emergency. He received an email saying his car would get towed if he didn't move it immediately, we were parked in the spot we were given on move-in day and it said our carport number when we signed up for zark however we both went on the app that night and our carport number was changed. We received no emails and no phone calls for this issue. I was 45 minutes away when my boyfriend received this email. We were not able to receive any assistance from the night security company which is also terrible, I will get into that in a sec. Luckily, I was able to get back within 45 minutes and move his car only to have another car parked in our NEW spot. The tow company informed me that they do not receive any of our apartment complex's requests for towing and after multiple calls to see where the tow truck is they did not show up. They don't assign you a new spot if someone else is in your spot, they just want you to spend more money on an unassigned spot when you already pay for your ONE AND ONLY SPOT. Parking is just going to get worst as the year goes on. THE NIGHT SECURITY IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST. While my boyfriend was out of town for a family emergency, I was home alone with our two dogs. I took my oldest dog out to go to the bathroom and as my dog was using the bathroom, I was met with an abrasive night guard trying to police me and tell me where my dog can use the bathroom when there is literally a sign that says pick up after your dogs. He processed to say my dog peed on the building which he did not and I have video proof. He tried to tell me another lie that he could not back up. He was already upset because my dog was barking at him because a stranger came up to us at night. I'm a short POC woman being approached by a stranger at night by myself with my dog, of course, he's going to bark. Anyways, the guard then took a picture of my dog and me without our consent. At this point, I was done because they were no need for him to take a picture, especially since he was wrong for approaching us in the first place. After this issue, I did not feel safe leaving my apartment for the rest of the night. My boyfriend and I pay a lot of money to live here but being treated like that by the guard is inexcusable. I sent a detailed email that night to the leasing office and spoke to them the next morning and I found out this guard had been policing other tenants as well. They informed me they were removing him however I have seen him at least four times since the accident and one of those times he flipped me off as I drove passed him so if you think they care about your safety or you are being discriminated against, this apartment does not.  Now, here are the pros for the unit: The layout is really nice. That is it. The apartment is completely rushed and when we moved in we were missing bricks for our backsplash, cabinets were chipping already, the paint job is terrible, and patchwork is bad over the mirrors and windows so the paint color doesn't match the rest of the wall, there is paint on the handles and cabinets, and don't even get me started on the flooring always coming up. Also, the internet here is terrible. We are the first people to live in this unit and had a bad router that didn't work. My boyfriend and I both work from home and the internet doesn't even reach our bedroom which is ridiculous. read more

Been here for about 7 months now & it's been going downhill fast. #1 issue is parking, they tried to minimize it by no guests allowed which helped a bit but like as said by someone else people that are on zark have auto renewal & also the uncovered parking spots are constantly taken by residents who's cars don't work &/or keep them stored. which was explained in email newsletters it's "PROHIBITED". but yet not enforced CLEARLY. this jeep & ford are ALWAYS there. literally since i probably moved in. oh & people who keep PODS in uncovered parking spots for days!! oh & btw i love the view of the homeless living outside of our apartments for a few months now!!DONT MOVE HERE. also had an issue of a package going missing, i report it & they say "it might've been misplaced" they go in themselves & see it's not there, then they say they did see it because they reorganized the package room, yet not there. then they say they can't use camera footage because it doesn't work... seriously? it's ridiculous can't even trust where you live. read more

Location is good and the amenities are nice. Parking is bad even without one of the buildings open yet and constantly finding new issues from when they were rushing to get the apartment finished. They force you to get Cox and it drops all the time which is extremely inconvenient since my girlfriend and I both work from home. We were also promised a dog park when we moved into our apartment at the start of November and a rooftop patio in mid-December, but neither will be ready until at least the end of February now. Also, be ready for parking to be an absolute nightmare. Very little parking available even without the complex being full and they are now making it so no guests can park at the complex. read more

Alta Warehouse District is a wonderful place to live! It's a new and upcoming complex. Despite the complex still going through construction, there are so many aspects that make living here wonderful! The leasing agents and management are the best! They truly make this place the community it has become! Each one of them provide world class hospitality and a welcoming environment (Sandra, Kat, Dustin, and Kaytee). They have hosted resident events that have helped in establishing and growing the community for the residents and our pups! I have had ongoing parking issues at Alta warehouse. Finding a free parking spot can be a hassle, especially during peak times & spots are limited . You only get 1 free parking & have to pay 270+ extra dollars a month for a garage which is ridiculous & now they wanna raise the price for buying a parking spot daily from 3$ to 4$ . ( the paid parking spots are super limited as well ) So if you refuse to leave your car out on the street like I do & can't find a free or paid parking spot because they are all taken , id suggest finding a different complex that works for you. read more

The application process was pretty straightforward like any other apartment. As far as Moving in, they made the process as smooth as possible to include providing carts and making me feel welcomed. Kaytee went above and beyond to make sure my place was ready by move in and included a warm handwitten welcome letter. Since, moving in I have no complaints. All office staff have been friendly and the amenities are awesome and always clean. I also rarely hear any noise from outside or other apartments which was unexpected when moving into apartments. I definitely recommend this place for its service, amenities, and location if you would like to be close to downtown without being stuck in heavy traffic! read more

After living at this community for almost 8 months I can rate this complex accurately. At first it seemed like a great place to live but things shifted within the past couple months. I believe they may be selling or under new management but whatever the case, there's a couple things that have changed and inconvenienced current residents. First, as many mention the parking situation is inconvenient we use to use the Zark app to hold spaces on a first come first serve basis which and report anyone in our rented spaces through the app, now you have a tiny sticker apparently worth $100 (which is more than my $25 parking space) per lease holder. It's hard to have guest over when there's fear of their vehicles being towed in a space I pay monthly for. Second, removing our access to the Bluetooth speaker in the gym was extremely annoying. The office stated a resident complained about inappropriate music but as someone who spends most of my time in our community gym 1. I can say I've never heard inappropriate music or residents being disrespectful towards each other 2. It's a gym not a church. Lastly, our pool has been closed for over a week now. When I reached out to the leasing office for an update they said "we are obviously working to get it resolved" well obviously... I was requesting a time frame or update as to what's been done. Shortly after, we received an update via email stating there was an issue with the pool pumps & their treatments were unsuccessful. Overall, I'd say the best thing about living here is they communicate things well when something is happening, but I feel sold on a "luxury" apartment to only be stripped of some of those luxuries 8 months later. read more

The parking situation is getting worse and worse!! I moved into a 1 bedroom with my boyfriend in December. We were made aware that only one assigned parking space was available to rent per unit, but not to worry because we could reserve an extra space on the Zark app for $3 a day. There are also uncovered spaces which are free, first come first serve, and we were usually able snag one. Sounds manageable, right? However, now that more of the units are filled up, parking both of our cars on the property is impossible! Not only did they raise the price to $4 a day, you can no longer even reserve a space on Zark if you don't already have an existing reservation because there aren't any available! And the free uncovered spaces are always full by the time each of us get home from work. So one of us has been parking at the restaurant across the street, which is now no longer an option either. This place is seriously a joke.. unless you don't mind parking almost a quarter of a mile away from your unit in the AZ heat, unprotected outside of the gate of the property. read more

It's mind-boggling that a place I pay to reside in could demonstrate such utter disregard for its residents' needs.If you think that paying for your parking spot here guarantees your car's safety overnight, think again.As someone who travels for work, the least of my worries would be the safety of my car in the parking lot here. Imagine having your vehicle registered on their resident portal, complete with your license plate information and assigned parking spot, only to wake up one morning and find your car missing. YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT! They have managed to take inconsideration to a whole new level.They authorize a towing without even ensuring or the decency to give a PAPER LIST to look at cars and their spots that the towing company is well-informed about the license plates of the supposed "valued residents." The result? You could be getting ready for a crucial presentation at 8 AM, and your vehicle has mysteriously vanished.There is simply no excuse for towing a registered vehicle from its assigned parking spot that supposedly comes with the territory of being a resident. This level of disrespect is beyond ridiculous. Instead you will be lectured for 15 minutes about valet trash, which is much more important than your car being towed and wasting your whole day running around to go get it - a topic that seems almost comically trivial when compared to the distress of having your car towed from YOUR registered parking spot. What adds to the frustration is the inconsistency in how they implement these policies. While I was told that parking decals were conveniently received by me "after" I moved in, a neighbor managed to obtain theirs two days after moving in from when I did and received it in their pamphlet. read more
