After thinking about doing a boudoir shoot for several years I finally talked myself into doing it. After looking through multiple avenues I kept coming across Catherine Kellie Studios, every review I read talked about an amazing photographer who not only managed to ease all worries and fears but captured stunning images that surpassed all expectations. I was in need of a confidence boost after a really rough patch and decided to take the leap, I entered Cats March Madness Contest and entered and won the same day! I was so excited but the excitement quickly turned into nerves. From the first email all the way past the shoot Cat calmed my nerves and made sure that I was comfortable with everything that we planned/did. After three hours in her studio I felt like a bombshell walking out the doors and had a whole new level of confidence for days afterwards. I talked about the experience for days, told anyone who would listen, and posted my sneak peek on Facebook, something I never ever expected to do BUT I was so proud of it. When it came time to view my photos the only thing I kept saying was "I just want one good picture from each outfit", to say I was blown away with what I saw is an understatement. I purchased a Groupon for Catherine Kellie Studios. I contacted the company to schedule my appointment for a boudoir photo shoot and talked directly with Catherine. The communication was top notch. The pre-shoot process of Catherine gathering information about me, what I wanted and expected from the photo shoot, what I planned for my hair, questions about my favorite music was amazing. Her work started way before the actual shoot. Via email Catherine prepared me by explaining what I needed to bring with me and letting me know what to expect. When I arrived, the studio was set up to personally welcome me. Some of my favorite music was playing! The makeup artist was amazing. I picked up lots of tips from her that I'm actually using in my daily makeup application. The photo shoot was a workout. Catherine's level of knowledge and high level of energy was astonishing. I never imagined being in some of the poses and it gave me a glimpse of the world of modeling.....It isn't easy....Lol! Sitting down with Catherine to view my 60 plus photos was another personalized, pleasant experience. When I first saw my photos, I was elated to see myself looking so great! I was totally satisfied with the experience. The package I purchased was a well deserved gift to myself! A real self-esteem booster. Catherine is amazing beyond words and I WILL return for more sessions, products/gifts for my love, a little reminder of how beautiful I really am and she makes this sooooo easy!! I have gained so much more than I expected when I arrived to her Birmingham studio (which is so beautiful and welcoming!!). I've gained back more confidence, self esteem, a beautiful friendship, and a reminder of my true beauty. She has the type of personality that makes you feel welcome, very laid back and has a super cute sense of humor!! My boudoir photo shoot with Catherine Kellie Studios was an amazing experience! Catherine is an absolute expert at what she does and so talented too! If you've never done a shoot like this, you might be understandably nervous like I was - but no worries necessary! Catherine is top notch and wonderful to work with. Her friendly and professional communications started well before my shoot, finding out my likes and dislikes, my expectations for the shoot, and giving me lots of details on how to plan all soothed my nerves. When I arrived for my shoot, Catherine immediately set me at ease. She is so warm and welcoming that I immediately felt comfortable. For my upcoming 50th Birthday, I decided to celebrate me and share my celebration with my special sweetie, by taking Boudoir Shots. I would share a photo but Yelp would flag it. I chose Catherine Kellie Studios because of the Groupon offer and the examples of her work on her website. The fact that I went over my budget is a testament to Catherine's work. The poses, which I questioned and complained about, were elegant and tasteful. No model needs to worry about me wanting their job. I took 60 shots; 50 - 55 of the shots I liked. The studio is clean, comfortable and intimate. Her makeup artist was perfect and did not have me looking like a clown. Both women were personable, fun, likeable and made me feel very comfortable. The comments I heard after sharing some of the photos were you look hot, beautiful, good and from my sweetie, he loved them. If I wasn't comfortable in my skin I would question their opinions of me before the shoot. SMILE. What a great experience! Catherine is an amazing person. I have always struggled with self image and confidence, but after my photo shoot, Catherine helped me see myself for the beautiful and sexy women I am. Going in I was a little nervous but by the time my hair and make-up was done I felt like I had known Catherine for years, She just has this way of making you feel comfortable and at home. I think I was more nervous the day of viewing my pictures. My husband and I meet with Catherine , She had I great slideshow put together for us to view all the pictures she captured. I am very glad that I chose Catherine for my recent boudoir photography session. She did an EXCELLENT job - I was super-happy with how the pictures turned out. Like others have mentioned here, I liked a very high number of the photos and definitely had a hard time picking out just my "favorites" for the final package. Kelsey did an amazing job with my hair and make-up, and was a great person to work with too. Gifted myself a session to have work & personal photos done. My session was some of the most fun I have EVER had. Catherine and Larissa made me laugh the entire time I was there. To say that I was comfortable would be an understatement it was as if I walked in and all of my best friends were there. Friends who made me look and feel like a really glamorous model. For the record I am very average and I came away from that session feeling like a million dollars and the photos look incredible. I did a boudoir shoot. I was so nervous. Didn't know what to expect. I just wanted to look pretty. The girl that did my make up did an amazing job. I feel so bad that I can't remember her name. She was so sweet and so good at her job. cat did an amazing job at posing me and the pictures I felt so comfortable with her she makes you feel like one of her very best friends. So first you should know i dont enjoy my body and i only did this to surprise hubby.. i had my doubts and was scared to be exposed. But i can honestly say I loved this experience! I chose to do my shoot while 7months pregnant and the alter ego boudoir team take extra time and care to make us bigger girls feel comfortable and sexy in the studio! I was so glad I took the chance. I have had pictures taken at Catherine Kellie studios and at boudoir loft. Both of which I bought a Groupon for. I liked Boudoir Loft but LOVED Catherine Kellie Studio. My pictures were WAY better. It was more personal and catered to me. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I would go back in a second. I recommend you try it, you will feel beautiful no matter your size. She is private and complimentary. I felt safe and beautiful. If I could give her 6 stars I would. Just try it, best case you will see yourself as beautiful as everyone else does.
