The photos we recieved were nothing like what we requested or what was depicted regarding examples of his work on Yelp. In his defense, it was a gloomy autumn day but he did not anticipate the poor lighting nor did he bring any specialty equipment such as using a light reflector or flash boxes to improve lighting. After reaching out to see if the photos could be improved with editing, he became very defensive and unwilling to help. He arrived 20 minutes late, and complained about being ill the entire shoot. My daughter's face was partly obstructed in one of the photos which was the only photo sent of that style. I wanted to try and find a way, through editing, to improve the photos but again, the photographer was unwilling to help. I don't recommend his services for senior photos.

The mini session was quick, about 15 minutes, which is exactly the amount of time my young children could focus. It was a very organic shoot. We didn't feel pressured or rushed, nor did we feel "cheesy" like in other photo shoots. She took a lot of candid photos that were not staged. My kids sort of took the lead and she followed suit, playing with them while taking photos. It was a great experience and we were so pleased with our photos!

Jessica continues to take on new clients under both this company name and her actual name and posts them almost daily to her blogs, websites, and social media sites, but has not completed orders or communicated with clients who paid for her services a year ago. It's despicable. While she can capture the most important moments in a person's life with beautiful photos, they mean nothing if you don't get them. If you do hire her, I would also discourage you from paying for one of her albums. I have seen first hand the low quality of her albums and have seen much better displays of a person's momentous occasion from an album created on Snapfish. Katie was beyond our expectations! We were told that she is starting her photography career, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We saw some of her work with family photography and immediately saw the potential. She arrived the day before the wedding and what a breath of fresh air. There was no pretentiousness, no "Well, I wouldn't do it that way" attitude. Instead, she listened to what we were looking for in a photographer, asked some questions to dig deeper in some areas (i.e. important family / friend photos, dancing photos, etc.), and then got a feel for the flow of the event (as it was really an all-day affair). The next day, she showed up early and was ready to rock. She did a phenomenal job of meandering throughout the crowd to get shots that we'll cherish for a lifetime. The wedding was at a lake-side resort in Northern Michigan (Chimney Corners, Frankfort) and Katie used her expertise to incorporate the lake and rustic surroundings. One minute she'd be taking a photo of our family, the next she'd be laying flat on the ground to get the perfect shot of our friends. At one point, she was laying in the middle of M-22 (a lovely road that winds through Northwest Michigan) to get a priceless shot of us walking down the road. We escaped the party and did a more private photo shoot with the bride/groom, leveraging the rustic exploits of the resort. She was never pushy. She knew where the good shots would be. She was always asking us for any feedback. It was reassuring to know we had a budding photography wizard at the helm. Wedding photography really comes down to one thing - the end product! It was delivered to us in LESS THAN THREE WEEKS! We plugged the thumb drive into our computer upon receipt and were immediately whisked back to our wedding day. The quality was immaculate. The photos looked like they were ready to be printed. She already touched them up, picked out the best photos, and provided them to us for immediate use. She even gave us good advice on what companies to use for printing photos for us and our families. If you are planning on having a wedding in Northern Michigan, or any other event where a professional photographer is needed, do yourself a favor and contact Katie Wind Photography. Based on the reviews that had been posted, I made an appointment to get a headshot done. Kuwan was…read morenot in Southfield, as stated on the website. I traveled to Troy for the session. I explicitly talked about the image I wanted to portray, During the shooting session, he told me to squinch my eyes to make my smile look genuine. I actually have a genuine smile, but I complied. I also showed him an image that was taken 5 years ago that I liked. At the end of the session, he told me that he wanted me to see how he finished a headshot to give it a professional edge. He picked an image from the session. It was not the image I chose. When he emailed the image three weeks later, I told him that I did not approve of the touchup. I instructed that when he touched up the chosen image to leave my eyebrows alone. His touchup showed a highly arched brow that did not extend to the outer brow bone. The eyes were squinched, making them appear irritated and the makeup was heavy. I didn't hear from Kuwan for a couple of months after he told me that my brows weren't even. When I finally contacted him again, it took a couple of weeks more for him to get back in touch. The first image he sent back was the same one that I had not chosen and had issues with. I contacted him by phone and asked if he even knew which image I had chosen. He told me how to go back to the website and choose the image. A week later he sent an untouched head shot with red eyes. He said he only did a minimal job because I had complained about the heavy makeup. This was not the professional job I was expecting for $150. I will call American Express to get my fee returned. I have the photos to prove this sham of a professional photographer.
