I was set up with a great person who knew what I was dealing with and could apply the right pressure, and move me comfortably through stretches my body needed. I was quite sore that evening despite what would say was gentle pressure, but I knew it was the result of getting good treatment. The next day, I woke up feeling so much better. Sciatica can't be healed over night, but the muscles around the inflamed area were released and allowed my nerves and blood to move freely through the rest of the area. I was very specific about this which is what I made sure to say something right away. In my mind, I only had an hour and wanted to use the time wisely. Unfortunately for me the massage therapist did not listen and completely ignored my request at all. She spent about 75% of the time on my lower back (which was tight and needed work), 20% of the time on my legs and only 5% of the time on my upper back (which is where my pain was located). To top everything off she used a hand held massage tool on me for 5-10 min. If I wanted that I would have purchased that device for myself. Needless to say I left the office feeling no better than when I went in. I do not recommend and will never be going back. I have had many massages in my life and this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had.
